Reckless Youth def. PJ Black A stunning opening match of the tournament as Reckless Youth let it all out in dominating the match. Black kicked out of multiple Northern Light suplex finishers by Youth. Finally Black showed signs of life with a little bit of offense but Reckless Youth came right back and finally put Black away with another Northern Lights (Black 5 coins). Tiger Mask def. Billy Roc Home country hero Tiger Mask didn't give Billy Roc a chance to pull an upset. Roc did catch TM with a suicide dive early, Tiger Mask then quickly took care of him with a spinning kick. Teddy Hart def. Scorpio Sky Teddy Hart completly dominated this match. Scorpio Sky never got anything going at all and took a ton of high-impact moves. At the start Hart dropped an elbow on Sky from the apron to the concrete floor. It was all Hart until the Avalanche Canadian Destroyer and the Code Ted ended the bout. Will Ospreay def. Mike Quackenbush Mike Quackenbush was on his game and Will Ospreay couldn't slow him down. Ospreay took the Quackendriver and the Chikara Special. Quackenbush missed a top rope move and Ospreay scored the pin. Danny Hodge def. Johnny Saint Just nine days ago at JWA Battle Formation Danny Hodge lost the NWA World Jr. heavyweight title to John Pesek. The former three-time World champ is happy to spend a month in Japan going after this championship. Johnny Saint is after his first ever title belt but Hodge wrapped him up good. Hodge used the Oklahoma Side Roll, abdominal stretch and Boston crab to get the win. BLOCK B
Gerry Brisco def. Petey Williams This one didn't take long. Brisco used an airplane spin followed by the figure four and Oklahoma side roll to take care of Petey Williams. Ricochet def. Brian Pillman Jr. This one was full of spills and chills. Ricochet landed his 630 Senton early but Pillman kicked out. Ricochet also missed his high-risk move. Ricochet was able to come off the top with that Senton and land for the pin. 2 Cold Scorpio def. Juventud Guerrera 2 Cold Scorpio was reportedly heading to ECW after having been in Mexico recently, but he diverted to Japan for this opportunity. Juventud Guerrera also left Mexico for the event and it was Scorpio coming away with the opening round win. The Dis That Don't Miss ended the match. El Generico def. Samuray del Sol In June of this year El Generico defeated Tiger Mask in a tournament final for the Mexican Light-heavyweight title. He dropped the belt a few weeks ago to Rey Horus. Generico and Samuray tore this place down! It was insane the stuff going on. Generico used his spike brainbuster more than once as well as going to the outside. A moonsault to the floor set Generico up for a top rope move to score the pin. Jushin Thunder Liger def. Zack Sabre Jr. Jushin Thunder Liger was the first ever NWA World Jr. champion and he also was the first Mexican Light-heavyweight title holder. Zack Sabre Jr. never got his stuff going as a Fisherman Brainbuster put him down for the three. |

Jushin Thunder Liger def. Brian Pillman Jr. by D.Q. Pillman had the hot start and a pair of two-counts on Liger. He took the fight to the floor and was disqualified. Gerry Brisco def. Samuray del Sol Gerry Brisco made short work of Samuray del Sol. The Boston crab and a lateral guillotine was all it took. Petey Williams def. 2 Cold Scorpio Scorpio had the momentum after hitting a dropkick to the floor. Williams came back and he won with a huracanrana. Juventud Guerrera def. Ricochet Juventud Guerrera got a fast win over Ricochet after hitting a move to the floor. El Generico def. Zack Sabre Jr. This went back and forth but El Generico soon took over. Sabre withstood about five spike brainbusters before going down. BLOCK A
Teddy Hart def. Billy Roc Billy Roc had the fast start with a couple near falls and the SSB2. Hart turned it around in a hurry and won with the Avalanche Canadian Destroyer. PJ Black def. Scorpio Sky Sky had it going with the Ace of Spades and slingshot Ace Crusher. Black found his offense and won with the Placebo Effect (Blac 4 coins). Reckless Youth def. Johnny Saint The British legend never got anything going, fighting on the defensive in this one. Reckless Youth used the Stretch Plum for the win. Danny Hodge def. Mike Quackenbush Hodge took Quackenbush to school, completely grounding his opponent. Quackenbush refused to give up and this one took awhile before Hodge won with the Oklahoma Side Roll (Quackenbush 4 coins) Tiger Mask def. Will Ospreay Tiger Mask had Will's number in this one. Ospreay missed some crazy top rope move but kicked out of the Tiger Suplex. Ospreay stopped Tiger Mask up top but a spin kick sent him down for the three (Ospreay 4 coins) BEST OF THE SUPER JUNIORS STANDINGS

Billy Roc def. Scorpio Sky Two 0-2 wrestlers here and Billy Roc made sure he got a win in the tournament. Sky did nothing at all and the Code Red ended the match. Johnny Saint def. PJ Black This one was really good and fairly even. It seemed like Black was on the verge of winning but Saint came back and the Three In One got him his first victory. Mike Quackenbush def. Reckless Youth Two indy wrestling legends meet up in this one. Quack took control and kept the pressure on. Reckless Youth withstood multiple different Quackendrivers and the Chikara Special before finally going down after Jig n Tonic. Will Ospreay def. Teddy Hart Teddy Hart took a lot of punishment in this one. It was an all-out assault until back to back Essex Destroyers put away Hart. Tiger Mask def. Danny Hodge A main event anywhere in the world today and Tiger Mask took charge in his homeland. Hodge showed his toughness, kicking out of three consecutive Tiger Suplexes. Tiger Mask kept the offense going and finally got the fall on Hodge. BLOCK B
El Generico def. Brian Pillman Jr. It was all Generico and he almost got a countout decision. The Spike Brainbuster put away Pillman. Gerry Brisco def. 2 Cold Scorpio Scorpio was on top but not getting any near falls. Brisco came back with an Oklahoma Side Roll and the Figure Four for the win. Samuray del Sol def. Zack Sabre Jr. by C.O. Both men went outside a lot in this one. It was Samuray del Sol coming off the top to the floor that got a countout result. Ricochet def. Petey Williams Williams didn't capitalize on his chances to get this match over with. Ricochet avoided crashing and burning on his big moves, winning after the third Chocolate Rain. Juventud Guerrera def. Jushin Thunder Liger Another amazing matchup that would be a showcase anywhere on the globe. Both came close to countouts and it was back and forth. Juvi landed the 450 Splash for the big win. BEST OF THE SUPER JUNIORS STANDINGS

Zack Sabre Jr. def. Gerry Brisco This one was over very fast. Zack Sabre saw an opening and locked on the cross armbreaker for the submission, handing Gerry Brisco his first loss of the tournament. Samuray del Sol def. Brian Pillman Jr. Samuray del Sol dominated most of this encounter. Pillman had a chance after avoiding a top rope move but del Sol took over again, winning with the Rising Sun. 2 Cold Scorpio def. Ricochet Ricochet is his own worst enemy, missing the 630 Senton twice. Scorpio capitalized for the pin with the Dis that don't Miss. Jushin Thunder Liger def. Petey Williams by C.O. Liger used a couple finishers on Petey Williams but didn't get the three. Liger was flying all over the place and came away with a win by count out. Juventud Guerrera def. El Generico Two rivals from Mexico battled it out here. Generico really controlled the match but Guerrera finally got things going. This was a really good one, back and forth, crazy moves. The 450 Splash got the win for Guerrera. BLOCK A
PJ Black def. Billy Roc This was a super contest with Billy Roc on fire at the start, nearly grabbing the win. PJ Black came out the winner with the Placebo Effect. Scorpio Sky def. Will Ospreay Scorpio Sky scored his first win of the tournament. Ospreay looked like he was taking this one early on but Sky won with the Big Fat Kill. Mike Quackenbush def. Johnny Saint As expected we got a great technical contest between these two. Saint withstood a massive barrage of moves and pin attempts by Quackenbush. Saint came back but Quackenbush got the big win with the Quackendriver III. Danny Hodge def. Teddy Hart Teddy Hart almost took a huge win early with a succession of high impact moves. Hodge held on and soon had Hart on the mat and in a lot of trouble. It was a very hard-fought match but Hodge won with an abdominal stretch. Tiger Mask def. Reckless Youth Reckless Youth almost beat the legend Tiger Mask right at the start with big move after big move over and over. Tiger Mask held on and then got things going his way. Reckless Youth kicked out twice after the Tiger Suplex but a third one finished him off. BEST OF THE SUPER JUNIORS STANDINGS

In Block B, Juventud Guerrera has battled back to take over first place with this win over Gerry Brisco. Jushin Thunder Liger's win over El Generico created a three-way tie but Guerrera has defeated both of them. If Guerrera wins, he wins Block B. A loss and a Liger win, the Japanese legend takes it. El Generico needs to win and have both of the other two lose. The matches have Juventud Guerrera against Petey Williams, Jushin Thunder Liger against Samuray del Sol, and El Generico against Gerry Brisco. |

Danny Hodge got his win over Reckless Youth, but needed the two men ahead of him to lose. Tiger Mask topped Scorpio Sky to eliminate Hodge from contention. Teddy Hart then won over PJ Black to win the Block A championship. BLOCK B
