WrestleReunion is proud to announce our return to Los Angeles for WrestleReunion 6. The dates of the event are Jan 27th 28th and 29th 2012. We are also excited to announce a new home for WrestleReunion LA. Our annual event was put out to bid to several hotels in the Los Angeles area The Westin Hotel at LAX 5400 West Century Blvd worked very hard to secure our event. They have committed to giving us no less than the same service that we have gotten in 2010 and 2011. We look forward to seeing you all there. We will release more details in the very near future. It was earlier announced at Wrestle Reunion 5 this year that Wrestle Reunion would be having its main show once again in Los Angeles but now the dates and location are officially announced (works for me since this new hotel also has shuttle service from LAX- they are saying on the PWG message board that the LAX Hilton got ticked about the juggaloes in attendance for ICP earlier this year at Wrestle Reunion 5.) I don't know since it is the same area, but hopefully this new hotel will have better food options than Carl Jr.s Wrestle Reunion is also having a much smaller version of its event (alot less guests, no wresting shows such as PWG, etc), next Sunday in Atlanta.

In response to the fans on the PWG board claiming it was the juggalos that got the venue for Wrestle Reunion switched, Highspots (the main vendor for Wrestle Reunion) posted the following on PWG's board:
Silly posters, decision had nothing to do with ICP fans, it had entirely to do with the cost of guest rooms (to keep things affordable) and the larger ballroom at the Westin. We opened the bidding to all the hotels on that main LAX drag as well as some hotels near the Burbank airport and the Westin had the best pricing relative to the facilities they can offer. Its main ballroom is about 2000 SF larger that at the Hilton and their ceiling doesn't have the low hanging chandelier. A larger building means more fans, Juggalos or otherwise, we don't discriminate. Its also within a short distance to more fast food restaurants so it gives weekend attendees more eating options than are easily available at the Hilton.
We certainly hope we can work with PWG again for the event since both previous events have been great experiences for both parties, but nothing will even be discussed for several more months.
sounds like a good move to me!
both of the past 2 PWG shows (unlike the ROH shows there that same weekend) at Wrestle Reunion that were held in the ballroom of the LAX Hilton were completely full and (at least the first Kurt Russell Reunion in 2010) even had to turn fans away- so a bigger ballroom is definitely a smart decision.
I'm also glad to hear about the other food options with this hotel, who wants to eat Carl Jr.'s 3-4 days in a row which is about the only food option within easy walking distance of the LAX Hilton (me and Cman though did see Davey Richards one of those days at that Carl Jrs.)?
the highspots poster on the PWG board is the same guy who leaked names such as Piper being part of Wrestle Reunion 5 months before they were officially announced, so in the past he has demonstrated he knows what he is talking about
now if only Highsposts will finally release the 2 disc DVD set of Kurt Russell Reunion 2 that took place 2 months ago at Wrestle Reunion 5 this week. I really want to watch that show once again!

Regardless of the reason for the move, it sounds like a great new venue. More food in walking distance and a bigger ballroom solve 2 of the biggest issues I have heard. Hopefully they have a good bar as well. One year I'd like to come out for this. Have fun boys!

They had better have a bar, and cheaper drinks too. I am also glad the Westin is in walking distance of more places to eat than Carl's Jr. I figure this gives me a month to save up for VIP tickets, and this time I am getting Autograph and Photo Op Tickets. Bring on WR 6!

From what I read on their website, this new hotel also apparently has mini bars in all their hotel rooms. That way if PWG runs until almost 2:00 AM once again on Saturday night as it did this year at Wrestle Reunion 5, there will stiil be booze available!

Best not to rely on a minibar...better off bringing your own booze Mr Vegas.

I was just joking. once Wrestle Reunion starts, there isn't much time for things like that anyway if there was time after the wrestling shows, me and Cman however often did go to to the hotel bar at the LAX Hilton for a couple of drinks. It was a good place to get some LOW and LOTF cards signed as alot of the wrestlers from ROH and PWG were always there- I got my Mark Briscoe and Adam Pearce cards signed in that bar.

The mini bar booze would probably be the same price as getting a drink from the bar too. I have never been in a room that had a mini bar so this will be something new for me.
