Alright, I will be chronicling the happenings in my WWF 1985 fed! As of right now, I only have the Legends Intro Set and the Rematch Set, along with the Andre the Giant Card. The rest is either from the (great) 1985 WWF bootleg set, or made by me.
This first card was made with only the Intro set and a few of the bootleg 1985 set, I went on to find my Rematch Set and print off the rest of the 1985 set for later use. The only manager I had available was Elizabeth, but I will add in the managers on the next card.
I’m pretty new to this, though I’ve played a few matches in my time, I’ve just never kept records like these. I’m sure I’ll learn and grow, so bear with me. Anyway, enough talking, on with the wrestling!

VM: “I’m Vince McMahon, along with Jesse “the Body” Ventura, bringing you tonight’s action! And what action it is! We have 9 exciting matches, including two title matches, isn’t that right, Mr. Ventura?”
JV: “That’s right, Jack McMahon! Tonight, “Terrible” Terry Funk is gonna run Chico Santana back to the border and take the Intercontinental Title, and Mr. Wonderful is gonna piledrive his way past Chump Hogan!”
VM: “Well, I don’t know about any of that, but I suppose it could happen! Along with those two title matches, we have:
Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat vs. Greg “the Hammer” Valentine
the British Bulldogs vs. the Hart Foundation
Intercontinental Champion- Tito Santana vs. “Terrible” Terry Funk
Mean Gene will interview Big John Studd
“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka vs. King Kong Bundy
Andre the Giant vs. Ken Patera
#1 Contenders Match- the U.S. Express vs. the Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff
Piper’s Pit- with his guests, the North South Connection
Mr. T vs. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper
the Junkyard Dog vs. “the Macho Man” Randy Savage with Elizabeth
World Heavyweight Champion- Hulk Hogan vs. “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff
VM: “Let’s go straight to the action!”
In the opening contest, both men were eager to show off their offense, with Steamboat taking control to start the match, but the tide turned many times in this exciting bout! After over twelve minutes of action, Valentine hit his 2nd piledriver on a worn down Steamboat and got the pin!
Winner: Greg “the Hammer” Valentine” (12:54 - piledriver)
These two young teams were keen to make a special showing in front of a national television audience. The Hart Foundation was minus Jimmy Hart, and did appear to be a little lost at times without his guidance. The British Bulldogs maintained control for a majority of this exciting matchup, delivering many high-impact maneuvers that kept the arena audience riveted to the action! In the end, the Dynamite Kid delivered a jawbreaker to a spent Bret Hart and got the 1-2-3!
Winners: the British Bulldogs (17:45 – Dynamite pinned Hart with a jawbreaker)
In a lopsided affair, Intercontinental Champion Tito Santana was lucky to walk away with his title, as Terry Funk nearly dished out more than the champ was able to handle! Funk insisted on taking the action out to the arena floor, where he rammed Santana’s head into the ring post numerous times, resulting in both men being counted out! If Funk had kept his cool, and kept the action in the ring, even Vince McMahon had to agree that we were well on our way to seeing a new champion crowned! I guess that’s why Funk is considered one of the most unpredictable men in the business!
Winner: double disqualification- both men counted out of the ring (8:04)
Mean Gene brings out Big John Studd, and right off the bat we notice that Bobby Heenan is conspicuous by his absence. Studd proclaims himself the true giant of wrestling, and says tonight Patera will cut “Andrea” down to size! Mean Gene asks where “the Weas…err, the Brain is at tonight,” but Studd merely waves Gene off, telling him to “mind your own darn business!”
Both superstars held their own in this battle, with Bundy using his bulk to his advantage early on, but the Superfly showed tremendous heart and surprising strength, battling back time and again! After nearly nine minutes of action, the Superfly reversed a Bundy maneuver with a bodyslam that shook the arena! That brought out fellow Heenan Family members, Big John Studd and Ken Patera. Both men interfered, drawing a disqualification for King Kong Bundy, but the 3 men began to savagely beat down the Superfly…until Andre the Giant quickly lumbered to the ring! The Eighth Wonder of the World cleaned house and, along with the Superfly, leading directly into the fifth match!
Winner: “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka (9:27 – disqualification)
Andre went after Patera with fury after knocking Studd and Bundy out of the ring with a double noggin-knocker! Andre quickly delivered a few moves and then a SIT-DOWN SPLASH that turned Patera blue in the face! But the former Olympian was not done, he kicked out, only to be immediately SPLASHED a 2nd time-- this time, Patera never moved a muscle and was pinned in under a minute!
Winner: Andre the Giant (52 seconds – sit down splash)
In a battle of the #1 contenders, the Iron Sheik went to work on Mike Rotundo early on and wrestled rings around the All-American out of Syracuse, NY. The Sheik tagged in his partner, the burly Russian, Nikolai Volkoff, who…proceeded to stink up the joint. Volkoff took move after move from both members of the U.S. Express, until finally Barry Windham unleashed a vicious bulldog and got the pinfall on Volkoff! The U.S. Express are the new #1 contenders!
Winners: the U.S. Express (7:44 – Windham pinned Volkoff with a bulldog)
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper and his “Ace,” bodyguard Cowboy Bob Orton welcome the WWF tag team champions, Dick Murdoch and Adrian Adonis, the North/South Connection! Murdoch and Adonis shake hands with Orton and Piper, and begin to tear down the face teams in the WWF! In particular, they spew their most pointed barbs at the new #1 contenders, the U.S. Express! Murdoch calls Rotundo a “college-boy Poindexter,” and Adonis referred to Windham as “the tall, Texas hick!” A few moments later, Windham and Rotundo walked out to face off with the champs verbally! Rotundo pointed out he was proud to have gone to a prestigious college, and that they’d never let “a wimp and a blimp” like them in ANY school! Murdoch, needing no reason to start a fight, was laughed at by Piper, who asked if he “was gonna stand for that?” The two tag teams brawled all over the Piper’s Pit set, with Orton and Piper taking a few shots on the U.S. Express for good measure! The foursome of Murdoch, Adonis, Orton and Piper punch and kick Windham and Rotundo into a messy pulp! Finally, officials run off the tag team champs, Orton and Piper!
Television celebrity, Mr. T, was eager to get his hands on Roddy Piper once more after their WrestleMania encounter. However, the Rowdy One was more than ready to take it to T! Piper dominated the early goings of the match, until Mr. T battled back, but was eventually worn down by numerous cross body blocks and sleeper holds! Piper got a clean pinfall in the middle of the ring over Mr. T! The crowd in attendance showered Piper with cups and debris, and the Rowdy One blew his nose on the back of Mr. T! On his way out of the ring, Piper took the time to turn to the television camera and say, “Hogan, I’m coming for you!”
Winner: “Rowdy” Roddy Piper (5:52 – sleeperhold)
In a key match up with definite title implications, the Macho Man and the JYD fought tooth and nail! The Dog fought valiantly, while the Macho Man, in the words of Vince McMahon, “was a coward for trying to hide behind his manager, the lovely Elizabeth!” Savage had his moments of offense, and took it to the Dog as well. After eight minutes of see-saw action, the Macho Man nailed a FLYING ELBOW DROP and took a rather quick pinfall over a stunned JYD! Savage immediately bailed out of the ring and took off to the locker room with Elizabeth!
Winner: “the Macho Man” Randy Savage (8:17 – flying elbow drop)
With “Real American” still blaring in the arena, Orndorff tried to take a quick advantage over the Hulkster, nailing two big moves, until Hogan shook off Mr. Wonderful’s offense and went on a tear—basically destroying Paul Orndorff! Hogan ran Ordorff from pillar to post and made quick work of “Mr. Wonderful” with an ATOMIC LEG DROP! Orndorff had to be helped to the back by medical staff, while Hogan posed to his theme music to a thundering standing ovation!
Winner: Hulk Hogan (4:31 – atomic leg drop)
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed my first show!
