I talked to Rob today and, for those of you who are also going to the CHIKARA show on Friday night, we are meeting up before the show for food and drinks at Dunlays on the Square at 5:00. At first I thought Dunlays on the Square was actually located inside the Logan Square Auditorium where the CHIKARA show is being held. But after talking to them on the phone, instead they are located "less than 1 block away" from the Logan Square Auditorium at 3137 W. Logan Blvd. I didn't know who or how many of you are coming (otherwise I would have just sent all of you this message via PMs,) but I told them about 7 with possibly a few less or a few more and they said that's cool and they will have a table waiting for us at 5:00. Based on the PMs I am getting, it looks like we're going to have a good turn out at Delaneys on the Square at 5:00 on Friday. In addition to Rob, Payback, and myself, jmello says he is coming with a friend and possibly John Krause from The Promoter too. In addition, Dayton Dave says he and a friend will also be there too. I know it is currently raining in Chicago as the Cubs-White Sox game I was watching on TV just entered a rain delay. The forecast I saw for Chicago this week is scattered thunderstorms from Tuesday through Thursday but better conditions on Friday with clouds in the morning and sun in the afternoon (not that the rain bothers me anyway as I spent 26 years in Seattle.  ) |

The CHIKARA Wrestling Game is ready for Chicago! For those interested, here are some great pics of what you have to look forward to when you pick up your copy this weekend. Rob told me he is bringing about 100 copies to the show tomorrow night. Awesome news! If they're around, perhaps I can play a match against PWG's Claudio Castagnoli or Chuck Taylor? |

I'll probably post a few thoughts after I get the cards, but I have to admit ahead of time that I am not much of a CHIKARA expert- although I have enjoyed watching some of their recent stuff on DVD- and a more expert review will probably come from someone else going to the show tomorrow night or someone later such as Vidtek. Packing my two backpacks (no checked luggage) and getting ready to leave for the airport. Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow! |

I'll be there with friends but we can't leave the suburbs till after 4:30. That's when one guy gets off work. Look foward to meeting some fellow Filsinger games players.
