Well I've tried posting different feds, but nothing was working for me. So I decided I'm not posting anymore until I have one I'm happy with. Now I have it...Ring Of Glory Wrestling! I'm into my third year(game time)of the fed, and I am thoroughly happy with it. Here is a little background...
-The fed is a mixture of LOW and LOTF. I don't really have a set roster per se, but I have a roster of regulars, and I bring wrestlers in and out as I see fit.
-I have 5 titles...World Heavyweight, World Tag Team, United States Heavyweight, World Junior Heavyweight, and World Television. Once I get the Chikara set(maybe even before then) I plan to add a Trios Championship. World Heavyweight and World Tag Team Titles are generally defended every fourth card, sometimes less depending on what I have in mind. The US Title every other card, World Junior every 3rd card, and Television every card, except pay per views.
-The World Television Title is mainly used as a title for the LOTF guys. Holding that title gives that wrestler a boost up the card, to try and compete for the US Title.
-Starting this year, I'm up to running 50 cards a year, with 4 pay per views, and 4 "Prime Time" Specials. The previous two years were 25 cards each.
-My World Title has yet o have any real consistency. I'm 57 cards in, and I've had 7 World Champions, with a total of 10 reigns. Daisuke Sengoku held it 3 times, and Giant Baba twice. Sengoku has the longest reign, at 13 cards. I'm hoping now that Nick Bockwinkle(in his first reign) has the title, things will be more stable. Ted DiBiase was my first World Champion, having beat Frank Gotch in the finals of the initial World Title tournament, thanks to some help from Virgil. They had a brief feud, which ended with Gotch winning the title. Freak Out and Harley Race are the other two to hold the World Title.
-The Road Warriors have dominated the tag team title scene. They are 3 time champions, and have had the two longest reigns as champs...25 cards, and 15 cards. They recently lost the titles to the Midnight Express, which is the first reign for the MX.
-Buddy Rogers had a stranglehold on the US Title for some time, but has yet to win the World Title. He's a 4 time US Champion. He traded the title twice with then enemy, Jimmy Snuka. Rikidozan also had a reign in between Rogers' reigns. During Buddy Rogers fourth reign, he faced a then undefeated, Lou Thesz. With help from his valet, Sherri Martel, Rogers managed to defeat Thesz to retain the title. Thesz immediately petitioned for a rematch, and dominated Rogers, and took the title. He then dominated Rogers in a return match. Since then, Thesz lost the title to John Pesek, in a stunning defeat.
-"Natural Man" Bobby Roberts has dominated the World Television Title. The Title was introduced near the end of the second year, and Roberts became the initial champion, and has no relinquished the title since. He has really risen in stature with this reign, and raised the prestige of the belt, as now everyone wants a shot at the arrogant Roberts, who claims no one will ever take the title from him. He has held the title for 29 cards, and has made 16 successful title defenses. He had an awesome feud with Joe Olson for the title. They had 3 great matches for the title, each ending in a time limit draw, and each match having an extra 5 minutes added to the time limit.
-The World Junior Heavyweight Title was also introduced at the end of year 2. ROG held it's first Super J Cup Invitational, an 8 man tournament for the top Junior Heavyweights in the world. The winner of the tournament not only would claim the Super J Cup trophy, but would also become the first ROG World Junior Heavyweight Champion. Bryan Danielson beat Eddie Edwards in the finals, to become the first champion. Previous to the tournament, Danielson had been involved in a feud with Candido. Candido kept getting the better of Danielson, often with help from Sunny. This frustrated Danielson, who kept demanding rematches, only to continuously be cheated out of the title. Well, Danielson's first challenger was Chris Candido, who continued his dominace over Danielson, and took the title. Since then Danielson as won from and lost the title back to Chris Candido.
-I don't do long write ups, I like to spend what free time I have to play, doing just that, playing. For the first two years of the game, I focused more on wins and losses, because I wanted a fed where wins and losses matter, so matches were largely based off the rankings. This third year, the matches have been randomly selected, or based off of what storylines I have going. The storylines are pretty simple, and are largely based off of results of matches, unless I have a good feud in mind. With that said, here are the currenty storylines going...
-Big Superstar recently became embroiled in a feud with the House Of Humperdink, whose members at the time were The Missing Link and Necro Butcher. Upon Frank Gotch's return, his first match back was against Missing Link. Post match saw an attack by Link and Butcher on Gotch, only to be saved by Big Superstar. Later that night, Gotch saved Superstar from a beatdown by Link and Butcher. On the next card, Big Superstar teamed with Gotch to take on Link and Butcher. To the shock of everyone, Gotch turned on Big Superstar, and joined the HOH! When interviewed about why he turned, Gotch said he was tired of watching guys getting away with breaking the rules, and advancing up the ladder, while he played it straight, and was constantly getting screwed. Gotch said no more! He said he will be back on top again, and he will do it by any means necessary, which is one of the reasons he aligned with Oliver Humperdink and his misfits. Needless to say Big Superstar was stunned that a man who was the face of the company in the beginning, and stood for the same virtues as himself, would restort to joining the House Of Humperdink. Should be interesting to see where this feud goes.
-Rob Van Dam and Freak Out have a nice little feud going on, which started with a post match attack by Freak Out, after he lost to RVD.
-Magnum TA has been feuding with Sherri's Stallions members, Buff Bagwell and Rick Rude. This started when Bagwell beat Magnum twice, thanks to help from Sherri Martel. After one of those matches, Magnum went after Sherri, only to have Rick Rude attack Magnum, which lead to a two on one beat down. Val Venis has since joined the feud, feuding with Rick Rude. Their feud started after Rude was spurned by some laides backstage, in favor of Val Venis.
-Joe Olson and Nigel McGuiness had two great technical wrestling matches, each ending with an Olson win. After the first match, Olson tried to shake Nigel's hand, only to have Nigel slap it away. After the second match, Olson once again tried to shake hands with Nigel, but this time Nigel slapped Olson in the face! A 3rd match is definitely in their future.
-Some of top past feuds I've had include an nWo Invasion, which involved Big Superstar, Freak Out, Blade Machismo, and Olympus. Big Superstar was the obviously the top star of the group, and immediately came in challenging Harley Race for the World Title. He failed to win the title, and really failed to live up to being the top star of the group(I was using the heel version of the GWFZT card at the time). Freak Out would be the one to step up, and beat Race for the title, and really carried the group. Freak Out would usurp Big Superstar as the leader of the nWo, leading to a Superstar vs nWo feud. Superstar dispatched of Machismo and Olympus with no problem, before engaging in a bitter feud with Freak Out. The feud ended, at least for now, with Superstar winning a steel cage match.
-Hacksaw Jim Duggan had a bitter feud with the Foreign Legion, consisting of George Hackenschmidt and Iron Shiek. In particular, Duggan and Shiek had a violent bloody feud. It recently ended with Iron Shiek defeating, and injuring Duggan in a cage match.
I can't think of too many other major feuds i had going on. There were a lot of little short feuds, but those two were some of the major ones.
