Card#1068.5 Maffei II The broadcast started with scenes from the last UPRISING (Card#1062.5) of Blue Chip passing out during his bout and several scenes of the medical personnel frantically trying to resuscitate the Earthling.
The roving vidcam illuminated the FTR Commissioner's office with Nitro sitting behind his desk with several Maffei II police officers standing behind him. "Ladies and gentlemen, the FTR and local authorities have been working tirelessly to understand what occurred with True Blue during our last televised event. According to medical professionals, there was no health reasons that the Earthling should have passed out and had the issues that he experienced." Nitro stated seriously.
"At the moment, the Maffei II authorities have made the statement that Blue Chip is stable at the moment but in a medically induced coma for his safety. Also, there will be a series of tests to determine if there was any foul play involved and if there is evidence of such- we will pursue the individual or individuals responsible."
"Thank you and enjoy the show." Nitro concluded. The roving vidcam turned off as pyrotechnics erupted over the Maffei II Auditorium and the crowd erupted in cheers as another FTR card began. The Electric Axe vs. Moonlight The Electric Axe defeated Moonlight with a CROWD SURFING Match Rating: 0.00 Match Notes: Moonlight started quick with a Mongol Sleeper but the Maxus native fired back with a Wasteland Kick! The Electric Axe signaled to the ringside crowd for his finisher (the arena erupted into a chorus of jeers of course) and he executed CROWD SURFING for the quick victory.
Plethador and Chameleon vs. Rhea and Nova Chameleon defeated Rhea with a crossbody block Match Rating: 0.25 Match Notes: The Serpens Caput diva powered her way through Chameleon and toyed with the former Plantation members. Nova kept screaming for Rhea to end the match or to tag out to her but Rhea continued to use the Aniwoman as a rag doll to toss around. Rhea execute a SERPENT'S CATAPULT and went for the pin. 1...2...and she lifted Chameleon off the mat to stop the count!!!
The red skinned diva climbed to the top turnbuckle and leapt toward Chameleon and attempted a diving clothesline. The Aniwoman fell to her knees to avoid the maneuver and this sent Rhea flailing face first into the canvas. Chameleon crawled over to her opponent, hooked Rhea's leg, and the referee miraculously slapped the mat three times.
Afterwards, Nova began yelling at her partner "why didn't you tag out? I thought we had each others back...we are a team, remember?" Rhea turned toward the locker room but Nova spun her around. The Pegasus native slapped Rhea and immediately realized what she had done and began to plead on her knees stating "I didn't mean it" over and over.
Surprisingly, Rhea ignored Nova and simply walked back to the locker room. If you are keeping track at home, that is twice now that Nova has slapped Rhea in recent weeks.
The vidscreen illuminates with a set of virtual dice rolling away from the camera and bouncing on the back of a craps table. The image exploded into millions of sparkling dots and started to reform into a marquee. A voice bellowed throughout the arena, " At the Planet Vega Hotel and Casino on Vega, the players in the FTR will roll the dice on their very careers...will they be victorious and reach great heights or will they crash and burn into oblivion?!? Witness history in the making... UPRIZING: ROYAL FLUSH (Card#1071.5). Tickets go on sale immediately...hedge your bets or prepare to crap out!"
Sonny Rocket vs. Vacant Vacant defeated Sonny Rocket with a SPINECRACKER Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: The arena's lights faded and two spotlights shined in the center of the entrance ramp. "Turn Up The Trouble" blasted through the sound system and a frail looking individual with a blonde mullet emerged from the locker room area.
He stood in the center of the spotlighted area and held his hand up in the air toward the ceiling. Unexpectedly, an old school microphone spiraled down toward him until he grasped the device in his hands. He took an deep breath and held the microphone to his mouth.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I am here to reveal to you the man that will single handedly change UPRIZING as you know it! He weighs in at 197 pounds and hails from the star system of Orion....Miiiiiiiiiisssssssttttteeeerrrrrrr Roooccckkkkeeettt...Rocket!!!"
As Sonny made his way to the ring, he began to be pelted with trash thrown by the fans in the arena. It was obvious that his gimmick isn't sitting well with them and possibly used this method to tell the star that it's time change.
A decent bout! Both combatants battled back and forth for several minutes and used several high impact moves off the top turnbuckle. Vacant would blast Rocket with a flying clothesline and follow u with a SPINECRACKER submission. Sonny quickly tapped out and the Neptunian's hand was raised.
From The Depths vs. Ocean Express Cephalopodis defeated Ragnar Blackheart with a suction claw Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Ummm...this match was utter and complete crazy as things happened that was not expected! A lot of false finishes...numerous finishers...there school boy roll ups...several blown deathjump attempts...and NINETEEN pin tokens accumulated!
After a nasty bump, Cephalopodis clamped on a suction claw and would garner the submission from Blackheart. The Ocean Express climbed out of the ring, interacted with fans, and reentered the ring with water balloons (?!?). The two started to toss them at the already embarrassed duo of From the Depths.
The Brymstonians lost their cool and lunged at the fan favorites but Ocean Express quickly made a b-line for the locker room area.
Armour's music blared over the sound system and the armadillo made his way to ringside. As he stepped through the ropes, a ringside attendant handed hi a microphone. He waited a moment and began, "Mayham and Plethador, I don't want any trouble and don't want to fight either of you but the Animan-on-Animan violence needs to stop. We are better than this...please come down to the ring and let's talk this out."
Mayham's music blares and the "Next Pig Thing" crawled through the ropes as Plethador's begins and the amphibian made his way to the squared circle. The three former members of The Plantation started talking to one another away from the microphone and it began to get a little bit heated.
Suddenly, Plethador blasted Armour and sends the armadillo to the mat! Mayham and Plethador break out fighting until Mayham clears his former partner out of the ring. The "PigPlexCity" resident attempted to assist Armour up to his feet but the armadillo clotheslined the pig! Armour grabbed the microphone and yelled, " No more mister nice dasypus! You two want a fight? Let's do this the right and settle this the old fashion way...Circunus Cell!"
Armadillo dropped the microphone and left Mayham sprawled out on the canvas.
Honey vs. Mass Mass defeated Honey with a Power of Kroll Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: The Conquerors of the Galaxy has been a pain in Honey's rump for quite awhile now and this bout would not be any different. During the bout whenever Honey would gain the upper hand, Murtak would stick his nose where it did not belong.
Mass would better the honey badger with several head drop suplexes and Power of Kroll maneuvers. Finally Honey reached a point where she could not take anymore and Mass would pin her for the duke.
Murtak slid into the squared circle and for some reason started to cut Honey's hair. The crowd roared as Moonlight came to Honey's defense and slid into the ring to thwart whatever Murtak had planned.
