GWFZ presents THE NEXUS CUP!

Hey Hey fans! Johnny Rocket here once again to launch us once again to the Titan Sportatorium on Saturn for our next big card, THE NEXUS CUP!

Stellar Nexus has brought in this prestigious trophy to show who is the best tag team in the GWFZ. 16 teams will battle in a elimination tournament to determine who will win the Cup! Even the GWFZ Tag Team champs will be entered to try and prove they belong at the top as the Champions! Although, their titles won't be on the line, but a lot of pride will be!

Let's take a look back the past couple of weeks, as the first round of the Nexus Cup took place, leading us up to now!

Mercury Rising took on Sagitta Steel, where Motor Psycho and Harm teamed up. Harm once again pulled a no show and Motor Psycho was forced to compete in a Handicap match! GWFZ Champ The Phenomenal Swift pinned Motor Psycho with MIND ERASER to propel Mercury Rising to the Quarter Finals.

The Extasy & The Agony took on GWFZ Tag Team Champs The Outlaws, where once again, the Outlaws pull out the win when they used their tag finisher TWICE AS HARD on Gemin. Narcotik tried to make the save, but was cut off.

Spirit World took on Death Club and Homage and Revelation used a face first double suplex on Leviathan to get the win and advance to the Quarter Finals.

The M.V.P.'s of Overtime and Varsity took on the Headliners. The Headliners proved to be the better team using good team work to defeat the M.V.P.s when Grillz hit Varsity with OK! After the match, Overtime demanded to be put on a different team!

Second Coming w/ Justin Case took on Armistice. Second Coming once again scores a win over their rivals when Darian Caelum used his CAELUM GRIP on Torrent. Clutch tried to make the save, but was cut off by Thomas Keller.

The Flying Zoo took on Tree House w/ Honey Bunny at ringside. Honey Bunny played a huge roll, as she used her HONEY BUNNY POWERBOMB on Tusk that broke the ring!

After getting the ring repaired, the next match was inside the confines of a Steel Cage. There, we seen Rage Against The Machine taking on the Undergrads. The Undergrads looked like graduates as they defeated RATM when Magnifico tossed Morbid into the cage wall, and then escaped over the top to get the win!

And to end the first round action, World of Violence, Rayd and Grash took on the Venusian Guard. A hurt Shukra really took the brunt of the beatings. Apollo gets a hot tag to clean house, but then was caught off guard by Rayd, who used a brainbuster to pin Apollo and advance his team to the Quarter Finals.

So now that we know who are all in the Quarter Finals, let's take a look at the line up for the NEXUS CUP PPV shall we?

For the Sudden Death Championship:
Champ: Magnifico vs. ? ? ?

So who will face Magnifico this time? At Solar Slam, Magnifico took on his nemesis, Darth Pelvis. Will he have his other rival of Grillz this time? Or perhaps former champ G.Q. Stratus or Jack Rabbid? Maybe a current champion in a epic champion vs. champion match up? It's all random folks, we won't know until the start of the match! Can you guess who it'll be?

For the GWFZ Woman's Championship

The Champion: Irish Bratz vs. Honey Bunny w/ Hegemony
Honey Bunny proved she could beat Irish Bratz when she defeated her last week at a GWFZ Houseshow, in dominating fashion. Once she hit her POWERBOMB, it was over for Bratz! Can Bratz bounce back and successfully defend her title, or will Honey Bunny pull off another dominate performance and do what so many other women before her couldn't do? Defeat the Irish Brat!?

Then we'll bounce back over to the NEXUS CUP SEMI FINALS MATCHES!

For the Steel Championship! LAST MAN STANDING MATCH!
The Champion: Shukra vs. Grash.
A broken and battered Shukra retained his title at Solar Slam and told Grash he'd never get another shot at his title! But Grash left Shukra laying in a heap after tossing him off the top of Circinus Cell Cage! And to add insult, took the Steel Championship with him! Now Shukra demanded a LAST MAN STANDING MATCH to once and for all prove he belongs as the Steel Champion and to get his title back! We seen what Grash will do to possess the Steel Title, has Shukra bitten off more than he can chew? Will Grash finally regain the title legally? What will happen if he doesn't?

For the O Zone Championship!
The Champion: Tiberius Cota vs. Troyboy w/ Justin Case.
Troyboy took on Tyrro last week to determine a new #1 Contender for the O Zone Title. Troyboy was impressive against a game Tyrro. Troyboy put Tyrro away with his RUMP THUMP to become the #1 contender! Now Tiberius Cota will have his hands full with the former O Zone Champ and this time, things are going to be different. Nemean has gotten himself to be the special guest referee in the match! What will happen when Nemean is in charge? Who will he screw over? Will he screw either one of them over? This match promises to be wild!

After that, we'll shoot back to the NEXUS CUP FINALS! WHO WILL WIN THE CUP?

For the GWFZ Title! TRIPE THREAT FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH!
The Champion: The Phenomenal Swift vs. Torn vs. Pride.
Last card Pride was in line for a rematch, due to his clause in his contract! Torn interrupted demanding that he's already beaten Pride in the past, he's beaten Assassin Z, He's beaten Scar...he goes on and on claiming he's beaten anyone that's anyone and he should be next in line for a title shot! So Stellar Nexus comes out and tells Torn if he can beat Pride in a match, he'll add him to the match via a Triple Threat match.

Well Torn pulled out a big win over Pride, using his TRAUMATIZED fire ball! Now things will get very interesting with Torn in the mix as Swift could very well lose his title without ever being pinned. And to make things even more interesting, Mr. Nexus has made it a FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE TRIPLE THREAT MATCH! How on Mercury will Phenomenal Swift beat those odds? Can Swift keep the title or will Pride regain it? Or worse, will the demented Torn capture the gold and we'll never hear the end of it!? Only one way to find out fans, by tuning in and seeing what happens!

Johnny: Welcome to THE NEXUS CUP at the Titan Sportatorium on Saturn! I'm Johnny Rocket along with Mot and Kram at ringside! Fans, this should be a great night of tag team action! Stellar Nexus has created his most prestigious prize in the Z, the Nexus Cup, and tag teams from all over the cosmos have lined up to enter. We are now in the Quarter Finals and these teams are going to be tough to beat!

Mot: That's right Johnny! Teams like Mercury Rising, featuring the Z champion The Phenomenal Swift are in there as they will be facing the GWFZ Tag Team Champs The Outlaws of The Surgeon and Gemello! Not only that, but The Headliners are here to take on Spirit World! That should be a barnburner as well folks!

Kram: Who cares about those two teams. If you really want to know who's the best, all you have to do is look no further than the tag team champs! That's why they have the titles!

Johnny: They'll have their work cut out for them with Mercury Rising!

Kram: So what's just so great about Mercury Rising? the only reason they're even in this tournament is because that lousy excuse of a humanoid Professor Sudden decided to strap on set and actually get in the ring! Last time Mercury Rising was in the ring, the Z Champ did all the work! If you want team work, look at some of these other teams, like Second Coming, World of Violence, Tree House! These teams know how to work together and I believe will be one of the teams to make it to finals and even win the thing!

Mot: I gotta go with Mercury Rising to win this thing! Even though Kram thinks they're one dimensional with the Phenomenal Swift, it's Professor Sudden's "Sudden Impact" that really can be the game changer in a match!

Johnny: Not surprised by your pick Mot, but I will go out on a limb to say that my Undergrads will go the distance. I'm a little impartial I guess, but with the Sudden Death Champ Magnifico and Pariah's hard hitting style, they are the perfect blend of speed and power! Let's get to the ring for our Quarter Final Action!!!

QUARTER FINALS OF THE NEXUS CUP TOURNAMENT

Mercury Rising vs. GWFZ Tag Team Champs - The Outlaws.
Mercury Rising came out with a flurry of offense and really knocked the GWFZ tag team champions for a loop! The Phenomenal Swift was a one man wrecking machine as took out Gemello with the MIND ERASER without Professor Sudden even having to tag in! Mercury Rising advances to the Semi Finals!

Spirit World vs. The Headliners
Great tag team action with lots of double teaming and back and forth action! But The Headliner's veteran teaming was the key in the match as they were able to wear down Spirit World and Grillz used his ATL Stomp on Revelation to get the win. The Headliners advance to the Semi Finals!

Second Coming w/ Justin Case vs. Tree House w/ Honey Bunny
Short lived match as Second Coming came out firing on all cylinders, as they dominated the action. Thomas Keller used The Ten Count on Gallows to knock him out. Second Coming advances to the Semi Finals!

IN A HARDCORE TITAN DEATH MATCH!
The Undergrads vs. World of Violence.
Grash and Rayd put up a good fight with the Undergrads. Lots of action outside the ring and it took Grash hitting Magnifico with a floating vid monitor and then the stolen Steel Championship Belt to knock the Sudden Death Champion out for the three count! World of Violence advances to the Semi Finals!

For the GWFZ Woman's Championship

The Champion: Irish Bratz vs. Honey Bunny w/ Hegemony
What a difference a PPV makes! Honey Bunny destroyed Irish Bratz previously to gain a title shot at Irish Bratz, but she must have really woke up a sleeping giant, as Irish Bratz came into the match fired up and living large! Honey Bunny had a tough time getting on offense and when she did, Irish Bratz seemed to have a counter or a comeback to swing the momentum! The Woman's Champ used a crossbody Deathjump to get the three count and retain her Title!

After the match, Hegemony and Honey Bunny attack Irish Bratz from behind. Hegemony holds IB as Honey punches her into submission. Finally, Irish Heat comes running from the back and makes the save, but the damage has been done!

For the Steel Championship! LAST MAN STANDING MATCH!
The Champion: Shukra vs. Grash.
A wounded warrior and current Steel Champion, Shukra fought like a true champion! With heart and determination! No matter what Grash did, Shukra would not stay down for the count! Shukra battled back and hit his ONSLAUGHT numerous times and then hit his Evening Star Plunge to really knock Grash into next week! Shukra retained his Steel Champion when Grash couldn't get up after the 10 count! Shukra also grabbed back the Steel Title away from Grash and held it high in the air as the fans roared their approval!

NEXUS CUP SEMI FINALS MATCHES!

Mercury Rising vs. The Headliners.
The Headliners once again proved that their veteran tag team partnership comes unmatched. The Phenomenal Swift had things won, then Professor Sudden decided he wanted in the action! Perhaps to silence the nay sayers that Mercury Rising was a one dimensional team?! After a short burst of offense, he was quickly put down by Grillz and Pelvis with WHAT?!?! The Headliners advance to the FINALS!

Second Coming w/ Justin Case vs. World Of Violence.
Second Coming continued to prove to the cosmos why they consider themselves the BEST TAG TEAM EVER and why they are Galactic Horsemen! Darian Caelum used his CAELUM'S GRIP on Rayd to make him tap out! Second Coming advance to the FINALS!

For the Sudden Death Championship:
Champ: Magnifico vs. Torrent
Magnifico's random opponent tonight ended up being one half of the Armistice, Torrent! Torrent really put on a display of power moves that really seemed to energize the crowd! Magnifico seemed to be a bit overwhelmed tonight and opted to take a count out loss rather than stay and fight! Knowing that his title can't change hands via count out or DQ, Magnifico retains his Sudden Death Championship, as Torrent ends up with a cheap victory.

For the O Zone Championship!
The Champion: Tiberius Cota vs. Troyboy w/ Justin Case.
Nemean came out wearing his "referee" shirt, full of confidence. When asked by Mot and Kram in a interview, Nemean said he'd call the match "down the middle" and winked at the camera!

Troyboy has been obsessed with regaining the O Zone Title! And tonight, it seems he was as focused as ever! During the match, Nemean was squashed in the turnbuckle by Cota being tossed into him by TroyBoy. Nemean ended up rolling out of the ring and ended up being hurt. Medical staff escorted him to the back as a new referee came into the match (after 5 moves).

Tiberius Cota was just out wrestled tonight, plain and simple! TroyBoy hit two RUMP THUMPS to finally put Cota down. Troyboy recaptures the O Zone Championship!!!


NEXUS CUP FINALS! WHO WILL WIN THE CUP?

The Headliners vs. Second Coming w/ Justin Case.
Terrific match! Both teams displayed a variety of speed and power throughout the match and was very entertaining to see! But it was Thomas Keller's THE T.K.O. on Darth Pelvis that ended up winning the match for Second Coming and they win the Nexus Cup!

Great night for the Galactic Horsemen! First Troy Boy winning the O Zone Title, and Second Coming capturing the Cup!

For the GWFZ Title! TRIPE THREAT FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH!
The Champion: The Phenomenal Swift vs. Torn vs. Pride.
PHENOMENAL MATCH (pardon the pun). This match went back and forth on many occasions and was very entertaining! It was at the end of the match, where all three had fought their way to the back dressing rooms. There, we seen Pride dominating the action, and then Powerbombed Phenomenal Swift on the floor! Pride then hits his PUMPHANDLE SLAM! Out of nowhere, Torn pulls Pride off of Swift, and uses his TRAUMATIZED fireball, right in the face! Torn then goes for the cover! The Phenomenal Swift then pulls Torn off, and uses his MIND ERASER to get the win! Pride was still on the floor, covering his face and was unable to break up the pin count!

The Phenomenal Swift retains his Z Championship!!!
