GWFZ Wrestling Challenge #22: 7/18/2121
from G.W.F. Lunar Arena, Earth's Moon
Hosts are Mot & Kram and Johnny Rocket
Mot & Kram start the show by reminding the fans that every match tonight will be part of the first round of the No. 1 Contenders Tournament.
The Ani-Men arrive at the arena in their car. Brown Starfish stops them and asks if he can take their luggage. Swarm tells Antak to keep driving.
No. 1 Contenders Tournament Round 1: Rush w/ Destina pins Ensor with a spike DDT Ensor never really got it going in this match. Rush delivered a nasty looking scoop slam and then drilled Ensor to the mat with a spike DDT. Rush covered and won the match in fairly short fashion. It looks like Ensor and Pride won't have to worry about facing each other in the finals now.
Backstage, Hegemony bemoans the fact that Leviathan and Symbiote keep getting disqualified in their matches. How are they supposed to win the tag titles if the champions keep breaking the rules and losing the matches. He thinks that there needs to be some stipulations in the matches to prevent this from happening. He tells Varsity and Sabre that he plans to petition the Commissioner to make the third match something that can't be ended due to disqualification or count out.
No. 1 Contenders Tournament Round 1: Overtime d. the Surgeon by DQ Overtime caught the Surgeon with the Gravity Ball Tackle and a full power slam. Overtime delivered the Rocket Spear and went for the Clincher but the Surgeon bailed to the outside. Overtime followed him out and the Surgeon blasted him in the face with a chair. The referee had seen enough and called for the DQ. It looks like Rush and Overtime get their desired rematch on next week's episode in the semi-finals.
The Legacy comes down to the ring and grabs the mic. Last week was a career changing moment for him. He made Assassin X tap out in the middle of this very ring. Not many people have every accomplished that. From this moment forward he's going to be a force in the GWFZ.
Backstage; Doctor Payne is on the phone. He asks for Commissioner Massif as the show heads to commercials.
No. 1 Contenders Tournament Round 1: Assassin X d. Morbid by DQ This one turned into a wild brawl right off the bat. They brawled through the crowd and into the concession stand. Morbid smashed a vendor's serving tray over X's head and then smashed his head through the popcorn popper. Morbid ripped out the cash register and went to use it but X speared him to the ground. X grabbed a trash can and stuffed it over Morbid's head. X grabbed a chair from the concession stand and nailed the trash can with it. Morbid fell to the ground and X dropped a knee to smash the trash can right into Morbid's face while he was still trapped. Assassin X made his way through the crowd and climbed into the ring. Morbid slowly pulled himself out of the trash can and made his way to the ring. Morbid grabbed the time keeper's bell and climbed into the ring. The referee tried to take the bell away from Morbid but he punched the referee right in the face. Morbid went after X but X decided to bail out of the ring. Morbid threw the time bell at him but X dodged it with relative ease. X and Morbid stared each other down for quite awhile but X slowly disappeared into the crowd. Security finally appeared and escorted Morbid to the back and out of the building. Mot & Kram received word from the GWFZ Commissioner that the official result to this match was Assassin X winning by DQ. This was absolutely wild from start to finish.
An ad plays for the first ever GWFZ Primetime Special airing on August 12th. It announces an eight woman tournament for the GWFZ Women's Championship. Nightmare Nikki, both members of Synergy, Rotunda, Sniper, Destina, Sabre and Hunger will all be participating.
Main Event: No. 1 Contenders Tournament Round 1: Pride d. Varsity by DQ Pride and Varsity fought over a wristlock to start and Pride managed to catch Varsity with a hip toss. Pride backed Varsity into the corner and punished him with repeated chops. Pride delivered a belly to belly suplex and almost scored the pinfall. Pride tossed Varsity into the ropes but ducked too early and Varsity kicked him right in the face. Varsity executed a perfect looking teardrop suplex and then applied the sickle hold. Pride managed to get a foot on the ropes. Varsity hit a German suplex and held on for a two count. Varsity nailed the P.C.D. but Pride kicked out to his chagrin. Varsity tossed Pride to the outside of the ring and then smashed him into the ring post. The referee called for the disqualification right away. That was obviously an overreaction to the end of the Assassin X and Morbid match. Pride moves on.
Leviathan and Symbiote charge down to the ring. They double team Varsity on the outside of the ring. They lift him up and toss him face first onto the ring steps. They smash Varsity into the guard rail and get ready to lift him again. Just then Pride enters the scene. He smashes Symbiote right in the face with a head butt and then fends Leviathan off with forearm smashes. Leviathan and Symbiote back off as the show fades to black.
Next week:
Symbiote vs. Brown Starfish the Legacy vs. Torn
No. 1 Contenders Tournament Semi-Final: Overtime vs. Rush
Main Event: GWFZ Heavyweight Title Match: Doctor Payne (c) vs. Cuddley Claw

Yeah, those shows tend to be really irritating. I believe it's clear sailing through the rest of the tournament. What I'm going to end up doing with Morbid is start him at the bottom of the chain and start working him back up. I think he needs some positive momentum. He's stuck in a nasty DQ rut at the moment.

GWFZ Wrestling Challenge #23: 7/25/2121
from G.W.F. Lunar Arena, Earth's Moon
Hosts are Mot & Kram and Johnny Rocket
GWFZ Heavyweight Champion Doctor Payne storms into the GWFZ Commissioner's office. Again the office is empty. There's an envelope on the table. Payne takes it and opens it. The letter says that the GWFZ Commissioner will reveal himself tonight.
Symbiote w/ Nightmare Nikki pins Brown Starfish with a cradle piledriver Symbiote caught Starfish with a high end back drop and then punished him with rapid fire head butts. Symbiote delivered a cradle piledriver and got the pinfall. Dominating performance for one half of the GWFZ Tag Team Champions here.
Symbiote continues to pound away at Brown Starfish. Symbiote hits Starfish with Yours Is Mine several times. Finally Swarm, Cuddley Claw and Panther Warrior run out to the ring and chase him off. Swarm checks on Starfish and then lifts him and carries him to the back.
Backstage, Johnny Rocket is with Sabre of the Moral Majority. She's excited about the upcoming tournament for the new GWFZ Women's Championship. She's going to show everyone that you can succeed in the world of wrestling and do things the right way.
Torn pins the Legacy with the CROSSFIRE CLONE The Legacy sent Torn to the mat with a sunset armdrag. The Legacy locked on the Monastary Armbar but Torn managed to wiggle loose. Torn caught the Legacy with a high cross body and then the Bullseye DDT. Torn came off of the top rope with a flying splash but the Legacy got a knee up. The Legacy locked on the Inner Peace but Torn managed to get to the ropes. The Legacy went for the Inner Peace again but Torn managed to break the hold. The Legacy tossed Torn out of the ring and followed. Torn caught the Legacy with a knee and then smashed him face first into the announce table. Torn locked on the scorpion death lock and then came off the top rope rope with the Crossfire Clone to earn the victory. Nice win for Torn here. He's been very impressive since debuting earlier this summer.
Rush and Destina are backstage. Rush is excited to be in the semi-finals of this tournament. He's going to show that Overtime can't defeat him in the middle of that ring. He's going to move on the final and then win back the GWFZ Heavyweight Championship.
Overtime is backstage. This is his chance to redeem himself. He's going to get his revenge on Rush for taking the GWFZ Heavyweight Championship away from him. He's going to take his rightful place at the top of the GWFZ. He's the best athlete that professional wrestling has ever seen. And the best athlete deserves all of the hardwear.
No. 1 Contenders Tournament Semi-Final: Rush w/ Destina d. Overtime by count out Overtime jumped Rush as he came out on the entrance ramp. Overtime body slammed Rush onto the cement and then hit him with a leg drop. Overtime dragged Rush to the ringside area and smashed him back first into the ring apron. Overtime rolled Rush into the ring and caught him with a Missile Dropkick. Overtime sent Rush into the ropes and caught him with the Overtime Kick and then drilled him with the Clincher. Overtime covered but Rush just managed to get a shoulder up. Overtime came off the top rope with an elbow drop but Rush moved. Rush hit Overtime with a decapitating punch. Rush tossed Overtime to the outside of the ring and punished him with punches on the outside. The referee was almost to the count of ten and Rush managed to dive into the ring and stole a victory by count out. Rush is now 2-0 against Overtime.
An ad plays for the Primetime Special airing on August 12th. Leviathan and Symbiote will defend the GWFZ Tag Team Titles against the New Moral Majority inside of the cosmic cage.
Hegemony reacts to the ad backstage. He's not thrilled with how violent cosmic cage matches get but he's happy that Leviathan and Symbiote can't get themselves disqualified or counted out anymore. He promises that this time the New Moral Majority will be crowned as the GWFZ Tag Team Champions.
Main Event: GWFZ Heavyweight Title Match: Doctor Payne (c) w/ Nurse Elizabeth pins Cuddley Claw with a roll up CC really brought his A game for this match. He caught Payne with a swinging hurricanrana and then locked on the Koala Claw. Payne managed to get to the ropes. CC went for the Koala Bomb but fell asleep. Payne jumped on top but only managed a two count. Payne locked on a cobra clutch but CC escaped. Payne delivered the Shining Wizard and then locked on the KO Temple Claw but CC managed to get in the ropes. Payne came off of the top rope with a flying knee drop but CC managed to move out of the way. CC hit a springboard moonsault and covered for two. CC climbed to the top rope and went for a cross body block but Payne managed to roll on top and get the three count and retain the title. Very entertaining match here. Doctor Payne has really come into his own since winning the GWFZ Heavyweight Title.
The arena goes dark and the jumbotron lights up. It's the back of the GWFZ Commissioner's chair. The chair slowly swings around to reveal...
SWARM...
Swarm is the GWFZ Commissioner. He thanks Doctor Payne for putting on such a good match tonight and for his interest in learning his identity. He promises Payne that he's going to treat him in a completely impartial manner. This tournament is to give the fans what they want. So he doesn't want to hear anymore whining. He reminds everyone to watch next week as the tournament continues with Assassin X facing Pride in the other semi-final.
