GWF Classics #49: The Main Event (card 7) 05.07.2078 from Beta Centauri Blue Star Pavilion, Centaurus
- Non-Wrestling Segment -
Hechilles vs. Silvar Hechilles defeated Silvar with THE END at 6:15 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Hechilles is coming off his big win over Caiman at Galactic Wars III. Silvar picked up a couple wins over him earlier this year, tho and Hechilles is looking to even the score and put the past behind him and look on towards the future.
Hechilles came out like a shot and immediately began punishing Silvar. He utilized a myriad of his big moves and built to an underhook DDT for a nearfall, followed by a belly to back release suplex for another 2 count!
He eventually hit THE END for the convincing victory!
After a bit of a rocky start Hechilles has easily become a player in the GWF. Will Caiman make up for his loss at Galactic Wars later to get back on track?
Jammer vs. Cordsar Jammer defeated Cordsar with a piledriver at 28:28 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Cordsar forced Jammer to tap out at Galactic Wars III in a tag team submission match. It's a feud that goes back to Jammer's career threatening injury.
Cordsar dominated Jammer for most of the match and even attacked the knee big time, but Jammer came back!
Limping, but fighting he took it Cordsar and applied BAD NIGHT!
Trotarus ran down and Jammer went out after him!
Before he as counted out, Jammer rolled in only to be met by a thrust kick from Cordsar.
Cordsar gave him a beating again. The fight spilled out again and Cordsar even applied a figure four around the ring post!
Jammer was split open after being rammed into the post and Cordsar looked to put him away...
Jammer hit a piledriver from no where! He mounted a big comeback and applied BAD NIGHT again! Cordsar made the ropes and Trotarus attempted a distraction, but Jammer just hit two more piledrivers for the 1, 2, 3 after nearly 30 minutes of explosive action.
Rock Solid vs. and Morpheus, Cosmos Morpheus defeated Ricken Prince with a TRIP TO HADES at 12:27 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Rumor has it that Morpheus and Cosmos may be tagging with one another on a regular basis. With Omega's blessing while the champ focuses on defending the strap.
This feud goes back over a year, really. It shows no signs of cooling either.
Morpheus and Ricken Prince started things off Morpheus worked Prince over. Prince would clobber him with a knee, tho and then go up top. Morpheus is up and scoops him off the top! TRIP TO HADES!
Screw makes the save and Prince goes for a roll up!
Screw is tagged in after the nearfall and clobbers Morpheus with the FREAKISH FACE SLAM! But Morpheus gets the shoulder up.
Action see sawed between all four men. It mostly stayed in the ring and Morpheus and Cosmos looked really good. They had good tag work and wore down both opponents.
The finish came after Prince dropped a big knee on Morpheus. Morpheus rolls out... He grabs Prince by the leg and rams him into the guardrail!
TRIP TO HADES!
Screw tries to come in, but Cosmos hits him with a running knee strike!
1, 2, 3!
Caiman vs. Blood Blood defeated Caiman with a DQ at 4:39 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Interesting matchup here. Caiman is looking to rebound from his loss to rival rookie, Hechilles and perhaps take a step up in the ranks. After all it wasn't that long ago that Blood was challenging for the title.
It was mostly Caiman as he kept using big moves like the Mangrove uppercut, Mangroveplex, and the brainbuster to pummel Blood.
Blood left the ring a couple of times and Caiman was hesitant to follow.
Frustration mounted, tho and Blood rolled out after a scorpion death lock. Caiman pursued him and grabbed a chair! The rookie smashed it across Blood's back and the ref called for the bell!
Probably not the way he wanted things to go after his bout with Hechilles.
- POW Rules - Santon the Loner vs. K.O. Keller K.O. Keller defeated Santon the Loner with THE TEN COUNT at 18:54 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: These two men have the battle lines drawn as Keller looks for a measure of revenge after his injury at the hands of Santon.
The tag match at Galactic Wars, as spectacular as it was didn't do much to end the feud between these two or Commander Sam and Mangus.
They had a good old fashioned brawl. It stayed in the ring for quite a bit, but when it spilled outside, the impact was felt.
The first time was after a spinebuster that was on target from Keller. Santon, tho, dragged Keller out and slammed him on the floor!
Santon used the comeback and got a nearfall on Keller, but KO came back and used a combination of punches to floor Santon.
Another spinebuster and Santon headed out... He grabbed a chair and waffled the former champ!
Santon tried to take his head off, but it wouldn't be enough.
Back inside Santon would punish him, but Keller ended up hitting a KO Heart Punch and again Santon rolled out, but this time KO was prepared and as they brawled all over the ringside area, Keller got the upper hand and rolled a beaten down Santon into the ring.
THE TEN COUNT!
1, 2, 3! It's over!
Keller stands victorious.
- 2/3 Falls - Caelum & Virtuoso vs. The Crosscurrents for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Torin Caelum defeated Thetis with a shoulderbreaker at 35:36 Torin Caelum defeated Thetis with a DQ at 44:30 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: The Crosscurrents challenge Caelum and Virtuoso for the tag straps! Since dethroning Paladin Power and then defeating them in a brutal ladder match at Galactic Wars, Caelum and Virtuoso have been proven to be anything but a fluke when it comes to their team.
This match was almost too incredible to call. The champs looked great, tho, the more experienced CrossCurrents found moments to come back and make a big impact!
There were multiple nearfalls and Thetis in particular took a beating.
This epic battle went back and forth for over 30 minutes without a fall! Finally, Torin Caelum had an exhausted Thetis at his mercy and hit a big shoulderbreaker for the fall!
Virtuoso and Vortex went back and forth in spectacular hi impact fashion as the next fall began. Eventually Caelum was tagged in and he found Vortex to be a challenge in back and forth action. Caelum was hurting when Thetis was tagged in.
Thetis, still frustrated from earlier was hot and took the fight to the champ! He scored a nearfall and then action spilled outside... Thetis went right for him the brawl got intense as Thetis grabbed a chair and tossed it into Caelum's face!
The ref called for the bell and the champs retain! What a match! What a turn of events!
Overall Card Rating: 3.25

GWF Classics #50: The Main Event (card 8) 06.04.2078 from Equineus Event Centre, Horsehead Nebula, Orion
- Non-Wrestling Segment - Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the GWF Main Event! We are at an historic point in the GWF as we have now presented 50 amazing shows of wrestling action and tonight will be a spectacle not soon to be forgotten!
Omega has promised titles on the line, grudge matches, and bouts that are sure to have an effect on title standings.
The champ makes his way to the ring at the top of the show and thanks the fans for their loyalty and support over the past 4 years and promises that the best is still yet to come.
Before he can get any further, he's interrupted by Morpheus' music and the man from Aldeberran makes his way to the ring.
MORPHEUS: Lookin' good, champ. You know there's been a lot of water under the bridge for us over the years. Even before we started the GWF. We've had our share of disagreements and successes. We dominated as the Guardians and we redefined respect and honor and competition in not only the GWF, but the entire industry. We brought talent from all over to compete for these fans, and we're grooming young stars, like Cosmos and even your son to be the next generation... But I think we both know that right here. Right now. There are no two superstars, no two WRESTLERS, better than you and I. And I think we owe it to these fans to give them the match they all want. They've seen it before, but never quite like this. The bad blood has settled, I made you, you made me. Now, let's put on the clinic we can. Let's give them what the GWF is all about. Two out of three falls for that belt... TONIGHT!
The crowd is chanting "Yes!" & "One More Time".
OMEGA: It doesn't sound like I have much choice at this point. So I'll put my money where my mouth is and this belt on the line. But Morpheus, make no mistake, grandstanding like this isn't a surprise. I'm always ready for you. I'll always BE ready for you. And this belt will continue to elude you as long as it's around my waist. And the real reason you're standing here is because you do have something left to prove. To me, to yourself, and to these people. But in the end, you'll come up short again... Because, Morpheus, you can't beat me. Not then, not now, not ever.
Morpheus shakes his head and laughs.
MORPHEUS: Well, partner, I think you said this to me a few times back in the day... But pride comes before the fall... Tonight, Omega, you will fall.
What a moment! The GWF fans know they're getting their monies worth tonight with just that one match, but we've also got more great action.
It has been announced that the tag team titles will be on the line as the Mensans take their shot against Virtuoso and Caelum! Also there will be a grudge match between the warring Mangus and Commander Sam! And finally, a #1 contender's match has been announced as the rookie Hechilles takes on Harley Marlboro!
Blood vs. Caiman Caiman defeated Blood with a HANDICAPPER at 4:09 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Blood had a shot at the title not too long ago and he and Jammer made an unsuccessful run in a feud with the former tag champs.
Caiman has had a most impressive rookie year. His undefeated streak fell to fellow rookie, Hechilles at Galactic Wars. Caiman let his temper flare and lost by way of DQ to Blood on the last card. What will we see from the newcomer here? His appearance is an oddity among the locker room, but his talent is clear.
Caiman came out swinging and put Blood through hell. The former POW standout proved his toughness by withstanding multiple finishers. Caiman was like a freight train, tho and worked his way up to another HANDICAPPER for the win.
Hechilles vs. Harley Marlboro Hechilles defeated Harley Marlboro with a belly to back release suplex at 22:03 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: This match would determine the next #1 contender to the title!
The super rookie has been dominant in recent months and is coming off his win against fellow rookie Caiman at Galactic Wars.
Harley Marlboro wasn't able to dethrone Omega earlier in the year, but he survived a brutal Triple Threat bout against Screw and Morpheus to position him at the top of the rankings.
Will Harley get another shot? Or is it Hechilles' time?
The rookie came out swinging and scored a couple nearfalls early on,but Harley Marlboro came back and these two jockeyed for position with multiple exchanges and big strikes.
It was a hell of a match and could have gone either way. There were some spectacular moves and Marlboro scored with all of his signature moves, but neither man was able to hit their finishers.
The home stretch saw both exhausted combatants exchange strikes after Marlboro had nearly knocked Hechilles out with a piledriver outside...
Hechilles ducks a lariat! Harley ducks the follow up by Hechilles! Harley goes for another, but Hechilles hits a neckbreaker out of the blue!
HUGE belly to back release suplex! Hechilles makes the cover! 1, 2, 3!
Hechilles is the number one contender! What a match!
Paladin Power vs. Rock Solid Solar Flare defeated Ricken Prince with a DQ at 11:17 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: The former tag team champions are still among the fans' favorite competitors in the GWF. They're the longest reigning tag champs in GWF history and will surely be a challenge for any tag team to step up and challenge that reign.
Meanwhile, Rock Solid, as they're going by now, have combined brute force, cunning, and a pocketful of credits to try and run roughshod on the GWF, but thanks to the likes of Cosmos, Morpheus, and Omega himself, they've come up short. Prince has announced his intent for he and Screw to become the next tag champs and this match could easily hotshot them to the top of the division!
Screw and Moonstrike started things off and Screw used his superior strength to dominate and nearly put the Titan away with an early FREAKISH FACE SLAM.
Prince came in and scored a nearfall himself, but the former champs proved their resilience by not going away into the night so easily.
Flare and Prince battled back and forth, but, ever the rule breaker, Prince dumped Flare outside a couple times to keep up his advantage. He uncharacteristically went up top and score with a huge flying clothesline!
Flare is on dream street and Prince flagrantly hits him with BOW TO THE PRINCE!!!
The ref calls for the DQ as Prince calls for Screw! FREAKISH FACE SLAM to Flare! Another to Moonstrike!
It looks like this one has just begun...
- Falls Count Anywhere - Mangus vs. Commander Sam Commander Sam defeated Mangus with a SAM'S ATOMIC DROP at 15:32 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Talk about wild! Talk about heat!
These two have been warring all over the galaxy for months and this match may have topped them all!
The action started off in the ring with some fantastic back and forth WRESTLING as they struggled for the advantage.
An Alien Romp sent Sam out of the ring and that's when the match went insane!
Sam scored no fewer than 3 nearfalls after beating Mangus pillar to post splitting him wide open.
A Commander Slam in the bathrooms followed by another in the aisle couldn't quite do it, and somehow neither could a piledriver on the exposed concrete!
Mangus used a chair to reverse the fortunes of the match and brutalized Sam. Soon the American was busted wide open and wearing the crimson mask.
The battled all over the arena and it looked like Sam was done for, but somehow he found the fortitude to come back... Well, that and an old lady's cane!
After destroying the cane, much to the woman's delight as she cheered on Sam, he posted Mangus into the steel.
The fans were incredibly hot as Sam rolled Mangus in and hit SAM'S ATOMIC DROP to put his rival away in most exciting fashion!
Pat Patterson and Sgt. Slaughter would be proud!
A bloody Sam celebrated in the ring and even gave the old woman ringside a hug on his way out as the fans cheered on his victory.
- 2/3 Falls - Caelum & Virtuoso vs. The Mensans for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Torin Caelum defeated Trotarus with a CAELUM'S GRIP at 25:06 El Virtuoso defeated Cordsar with an ESPECIAL VIRTUOSO at 31:00 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: The rivalry between these two teams and Caelum and Cordsar in particular has grown over the months and could indeed culminate here in this 2 out of 3 falls match for the tag team titles!
Caelum and Trotarus start things off and jockey for position, but Caelum uses his wrestling skills to get the advantage and go for a couple early submissions, but Cordsar is there to prevent the tap out.
Caelum and Virtuoso would establish their throughline early and it was simple: 5-star tag work. They used quick tags and some double team moves to press their advantage and while the Mensans had their moments, the first fall was mainly the story of when would the champs score the first fall.
Caelum is the best grappler in the GWF, period. The first GWF champ attacked the Mensans with one goal in mind and eventually put Trotarus away for the first fall, making him submit to CAELUM'S GRIP after setting it up with two brutal shoulderbreakers.
The second fall saw Virtuoso quickly go for the win against Cordsar, but the Mensan wouldn't go away easily in spite of the match nearing the 30 minute mark!
The champs, however, would not be outdone and scored the second straight fall after Virtuoso locked in ESPECIAL VIRTUOSO on Cordsar for a solid title defense.
- 2/3 Falls - Morpheus vs. Omega for the Galaxian Championship Morpheus defeated Omega with a TRIP TO HADES at 27:57 Omega defeated Morpheus with a TOMAHAWK THRUST at 18:40 Omega defeated Morpheus with a lariat at 31:06 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: Years and years from now, these two men will be the template when it comes to GWF rivalries.
This match started off as a pure athletic contest and they jockeyed for position early on trading holds and chain wrestling.
Omega eventually pressed his advantage and wore Morpheus down, scoring a nearfall with an abdominal stretch.
TOMAHAWK THRUST! 1... 2... NO! Morpheus got the shoulder up!
Omega opens a salvo up on his former partner, but Morpheus won't stay down. He came back and gave as good as he got, hitting a pair of punishing Natural Disasters!
The action continued to exemplify the VERY best of professional wrestling and Omega, champion that he is, kept coming back and reversing moves.
He hit a COSMIC WAR DANCE, but Morpheus would not stay down!
Omega would go on to hit two more in a row!!!
Morpheus was busted open, but would not stay down!
No one could believe the kickouts after the lightning knees, including Omega.
Frustration was mounting on both sides as a bloody Morpheus rolled out of the ring. The ref wanted him back in, but Omega followed him out and they brawled at ring side!
Omega rolled him back in and called for the TOMAHAWK THRUST! Morpheus could barely stand and was met with the chop as Omega got the first fall!
The second fall was even more exciting than the first as these two began trading blows and the traditional, pure wrestling match of earlier began to see more brawling and power moves.
Omega took control and went for the second straight fall, but couldn't secure it.
The champ went up top for a cross body, but Morpheus countered it into the TRIP TO HADES!!!!
1... 2... NO! What a move! But Omega won't stay down.
Morpheus, bloody and battered, presses his new found advantage, but eventually the action spills outside again!
Multiple warnings from the ref and it looks like there may be a DQ... Omega hits the guardrail face first and is split wide open!! Showing some levity the ref finally gets the men back inside...
Morpheus hits two more finishers, but cannot keep him down. Satanic Skull Smasher!
Both guys are a mess...
Morpheus shoots Omega into the turnbuckle... DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! Both men go down hard!
The ref is almost up to a ten count, but Morpheus is up!
TRIP TO HADES!
1, 2, 3! The challenger evens it up to 1 fall a piece!
The final fall ends in spectacular fashion.
Morpheus presses his advantage, another whip into the turnbuckle, but Omega comes charging out with the most brutal lariat I have ever witnessed!
1, 2, 3!
Wow! Omega retains in one of his hardest fought contests as champion. Will Morpheus ever capture the gold?!?
Hechilles appears in the entrance way and points to the bloody champion as the ref raises his arm in the center of the ring.
Morpheus can barely stand, the same has to be said for the champ, too, tho. There's not handshake, but there does look to be an understanding here. A respect.
As we go to a close, Omega and Hechilles exchange a look as Cosmos and Star Warrior come to help Morpheus and Omega to the back...

GWF Classics #51: The Main Event (card 9) 07.02.2078 from Rigel Nova Pavilion, Orion
Solar Flare vs. Ricken Prince Solar Flare defeated Ricken Prince with a PALADIN MISSILE at 5:13 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Flare was looking for a measure of revenge after Prince blatantly used BOW TO THE PRINCE during their tag match on the last card.
Flare came out swinging and Prince was barely able to keep up.
He hit his finisher early, but Screw attempted to interfere and Flare saw it coming! Noggin knocker! Wow! Flare is on fire... Excuse the pun.
Moonstrike kept Screw at bay while Flare dismantled Prince and scored the certain pinfall after another PALADIN MISSILE.
Screw and Moonstrike will meet later in our main event and that bout is sure to be a slobberknocker!
Morpheus & Cosmos vs. Defiance Jammer defeated Morpheus with a double team piledriver at 4:28 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Morpheus is still smarting over his loss to Omega in a stellar championship bout on our 50th card. He and Cosmos have been tagging together as Cosmos' education continues and this bout would indeed be a test.
Defiance has always simmered right around the top of the tag ranks and each individual wrestler has performed well on their own. Blood even scoring a title match that he came up short in and Jammer being near the top of the ranks. Maybe he'll have a title shot of his own soon?
Morpheus and Jammer started things off and Jammer went to work after a misstep cost the Man from Aldeberran the advantage.
Jammer and Blood attacked, utilizing what has to be described as their superior tag skills to target Morpheus and nearly take him out on three different occasions, but Moprheus would not submit to either one's finishers.
Cosmos tried to help Morpheus out, but it was to little avail as the veteran could never make a tag out.
Jammer locked in BAD NIGHT and Cosmos broke it up only to be escorted to the apron by the ref. While this was happening Blood and Jammer seized the moment and hit a double team piledriver!!!
Jammer covers! 1, 2, 3!
What a win for Defiance. Jammer in particular. Perhaps that title shot is due...
Cosmos helped his mentor to his feet. Morpheus has been humbled lately. Maybe another lesson for the youngster...
Santon the Loner vs. Mimic Mimic defeated Santon the Loner with a spinwheel kick at 9:06 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Santon's fortunes have cooled after being near the top of the pack for nearly two years. His feud with former champ, KO Keller found him on the receiving end of more than a few TEN COUNTS.
Mimic has been involved in solid mid-card action since his debut and his early matches against Cosmos helped to establish both men as worthy competitors in the GWF.
Mimic's odd style based around mind games and agility matched up well with the brawling tough man style of Santon and the quiet one with a painted face had Santon reeling much of the match.
They traded blows and holds early, but Mimic's speed gave him a slight advantage. He attempted to put Santon away with his finisher, but to no avail.
Santon came back after dragging Mimic out of the ring and punished him with a combination of punches and underhanded tactics, but Mimic came back in lightning fashion and used flying forearm followed by a devastating spinwheel kick to get the quick win!
Santon was hot and clobbered Mimic with a clothesline from behind before leaving the ringside area...
The Crosscurrents vs. The Mensans Cordsar defeated Vortex with a MENSAN LOCK at 8:52 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: The Mensans came up short in their challenge for the tag straps as Caelum and Virtuoso look virtually unbeatable. These are still two of the best teams in the GWF and you can bet a measure of pride is on the line here in addition to any advance in the rankings.
This was solid tag work all the way with lots of back and forth action and some great double teaming.
The Mensans may have a slight advantage throughout the match, but Vortex and Thetis looked great and used their superior agility and hi risk style to keep up with the Mensans.
The finish came after Trotarus started to pick apart Vortex and then made a tag to Cordsar. Cordsar targeted the knee and used some of his hi impact offense to press the advantage.
He went for a pin after a lariat, but Thetis was in! Trotarus cut him off and tossed him out of the ring!
MENSAN LOCK!
Vortex is left with no choice, but to tap and tap he does.
Solid win for the Mensans after a great bout.
Harley Marlboro vs. Commander Sam Harley Marlboro defeated Commander Sam with a MARLBORO RUSH at 10:07 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Sam is riding high after a bloody, brutal, hard-fought win over his arch-rival Mangus. Harley Marlboro suffered a stinging loss to the super rookie in a match that could have scored him a title shot against Omega. This match could elevate Sam or re-establish Marlboro's prospects. Either way, we're sure to have a great contest on our hands from two wrestlers at the top of their game.
Sam came out swinging and was able to work over Harley early. He hit a Commander Slam and a slingshot suplex, but wasn't ready to put Harley away quite yet.
Marlboro came back with some strikes and even hit a stiff Maffei Runway, but Sam, a proven tough guy, came right back!
The battled back and forth in a great contest at a very fast pace.
The action would spill outside and both men brawled evenly at the ringside area.
Harley came out on top, but Volian Torture Lock couldn't stop Sam.
They went back and forth and Sam grabbed the advantage.
Sam tossed Harley out of the ring and it may have been a misstep as Marlboro dragged Sam out and smashed him into the ring steps!
Volian Torture Lock! Sam won't tap, tho...
Harley has that glint in his eye... MARLBORO RUSH!!!
1, 2, 3!
This was a great match, in spite of a shorter length.
Harley is certainly still in the hunt and, frankly this loss will do little to tarnish Sam's popularity or standing with the fans.
Screw vs. Moonstrike This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Stemming from the tag match on the last card we get two singles matches. Flare and Prince from earlier and now this one.
What an amazing old school brawl with interference from both men's partners. The ref chose to show some levity as both men got away with things on the outside.
It started off in back and forth fashion and then Moonstrike worked his way up to the PALADIN DROP! But of course, Ricken Prince interfered and Moonstrike risked a countout to meet him on the outside...
It was a mistake, tho as Screw took advantage and scored a couple of nearfalls.
They continued to jockey for position, but Screw hit a few clothesline, including one from the middle ropes. This led to a FREAKISH FACE SLAM, but Moonstrike got the shoulder up!
They would continue to brawl in and out of the ring and as mentioned earlier, both men nearly drew DQs, but the ref let them go.
A table was demolished at one point after Screw slammed Moonstrike through it.
Flare checked on his partner, but Moonstrike wasn't through!
He came back and would hit a big Titan Drop, but the big machine wasn't going down easily.
Lariats, clotheslines, piledrivers. Screw just wanted to beat on Moonstrike, but the Titan kept coming back.
The closing stretch saw Screw land blow after blow and hit a running power slam that shook the ring.
He signaled for a big lariat... Moonstrike ducks! Titan Drop!!!
Both men are down... The ref is administering the count...
The bell rings... What happened?
The ring announcer gives us the decision... The time has expired! A 30 minute time limit draw.
Prince and Flare are in to help their partners up. They could come to blows...
We've got a stare down as officials enter the ring.
Interesting run of events here at the Rigel Nova Pavilion on Orion... We'll see you on the next card coming to you from the Trapezium!

GWF Classics #52: The Main Event (card 10) 08.06.2078 from The Trapezium, Orion
Morpheus vs. Jammer Jammer defeated Morpheus with a DQ at 11:44 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: In what has to be the comeback story of the year, Jammer has returned to GWF action, avenged his injury at the hands of the Mensans, and gamely taken on all comers in singles action.
Morpheus has been struggling. Ever since parting ways with Omega, he's been unable to capture the magic and success he saw as a member of the Guardians.
Jammer scored a pinfall win over the Man From Aldeberran in tag action after a double team piledriver. Now, Morpheus is looking to remind Jammer who the big dog is, while the former POW standout is on the verge of a singles breakthru that could propel him into the main event!
Jammer came out with the big guns and made it clear that he wanted to put Morpheus away fast, hoping the former tag champ would underestimate him.
Part of that may have been true, but even so, Morpheus bounced back and this quickly turned into a brawl!
Morpheus hit TRIP TO HADES and the fans were shocked win a dazed Jammer kicked out! A feat he accomplished not once, but twice!
Morpheus was hot and try as he might, Jammer kept coming back! In the home stretch, Morpheus was fully in control, he'd hit his second finisher and followed up the unsuccessful pin attempt with a Satanic Skull Smasher.
Jammer rolled out, but Morpheus like a shark in the water pursued him and went so far as to smash him with the ring steps!
The ref called for the DQ as Morpheus kept the attack up for a few moments until leaving Jammer laying.
MORPHEUS: Jammer! Let me get one thing straight right now! I might have been on a cold streak lately, but your reputation will NOT be built on my back!
It was announced later in the night that these two will meet at Star Bash! If Jammer wins, he'll get a title shot! If Morpheus wins, he'll be given a chance to earn another shot at the title in a match against the loser of the title bout at Star Bash.
Mimic vs. Santon the Loner Santon the Loner defeated Mimic with an atomic knee drop at 0:34 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Mimic surprised a few folks by handling Santon on the last card. The masked one asked for another match against the oddball with a painted face.
The bell rang, Mimic went for a flying forearm, but Santon moved, came off the ropes and hit an atomic knee drop to the head!
Cover!
1, 2, 3!
Santon stands over the fallen Mimic and poses.
Blood vs. Cosmos Cosmos defeated Blood with a DQ at 11:59 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: This turned into a hell of a match!
They chain wrestled to start, before Blood took over and tried to tear the young Cosmos apart!
He applied his finisher early, but Cosmos hook the rope with one of his legs to break the hold.
Blood kept coming and Cosmos was in bad shape early on.
Morpheus had accompanied him to ringside and win Blood locked in SCAR TISSUE again, Morpheus attempted to complain to the ref about something. The ref disregarded him, but Blood broke the hold anyway and kept up the attack with a brainbuster.
The action eventually spilled outside and they brawled at ringside, with Blood having the distinct advantage.
Back inside, Blood missed a lariat and Cosmos took advantage! He locked on a sleeper and followed it with a Cosmic Skull Smasher! The youngster took the fight to him and went up top 3 times to deliver a punishing missile dropkick followed by a splash and an axe handle!!!
Blood was reeling and a superplex shook the ring.
Cosmos hit some knee strikes in the corner and Blood took a powder. Morpheus kept his distance as his protoge and Blood brawled at ringside.
Things got heated and Blood tossed a chair at Cosmos drawing the DQ! Morpheus immediately took it to Blood, but Jammer ran down!
All four men going at it!
It's later announced that Blood and Cosmos will battle at Star Bash in a no DQ bout, a stipulation that has also been added to Jammer vs. Morpheus. It's becoming clear that the rule book is going away as we head into Star Bash '78!
The Windriders vs. The Mensans Trotarus defeated Rama with a double arm clothesline at 15:24 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Solid tag match from these four men. The contrasting styles and firm heel/face dynamic worked well for this one.
Tano came on strong early and we were treated to some nice wrestling and mat work. Tortarus' power was too much, tho and he even locked on an early MENSAN LOCK!
Rama was in to break it up, tho and the match continued. The back and forth action saw the Mensans take a slight edge and we saw the faces in peril multiple times.
They kept coming back, tho and Tano even creamed Cordsar with a slingshot plancha early on.
It didn't last, tho as the Mensans utilized the double team to wrest control.
Cordsar hit a cobra clutch suplex that nearly took Rama out, but the youngsters from Deimos wouldn't go quietly into that night.
The Mensans looked to put Tano away, but Cordsar misjudged and hit his own partner with a diving elbow!
The Wind Riders almost got the win and pressed their advantage with some great double team action.
Eventually Tano came back and tagged in Rama, rama came in on fire and was looking to put Trotarus away, but the big man moved and Rama missed the flying elbow. A double arm clothesline took the rising Rama out of his boots and secured the win for the Mensans.
Great match.
K.O. Keller vs. Screw This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: These two have always put on good matches and were even embroiled in one of the longest running feuds in the young GWF's history, waging war against one another for nearly two years before culminating in a Last Man Standing match at Showdown At Deimos over two years ago.
They wrestled early on trading wristlocks and armbars with a few strikes here and there.
They showed their familiarity with one another and there were tons of reversals and lots of brawling in and out of the ring.
It was everything you would expect from these two with nary a pinfall attempt for a good 20 minutes!
Screw looked to have it sealed up after a middle rope clothesline, but Keller wouldn't stay down.
Not even after a FREAKISH FACE SLAM!
Keller came roaring back and hit a TEN COUNT, but Screw wasn't going to be put down either.
The finish came after a heart punch and a KO Flurry led to a nearfall! THE TEN COUNT!
The ref goes to make the count, but the bell rings before he finishes!
We've got a time limit draw on our hands! What a match! These two are like gold. Always standouts here in the GWF and always top ranked contenders. One can only wonder what the landscape of the GWF would look like without Omega on the top of the mountain, but you can rest assured, one of these two could easily be the face you'd see associated with the GWF title...
- Non- Title Special Attraction - Hechilles and Omega vs. Caelum & Virtuoso Omega defeated Torin Caelum with THE END at 5:50 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: This one was shocking.
Hechilles started off with Caelum and they went back and forth trading some holds. Hechilles moved when Caelum charged into the corner and Hechilles rolled him up but only got a two.
Hechilles would go up top and display some amazing agility with a picture perfect cross body, but Caelum got the shoulder up.
Omega got the tag and came in and the champ went work.
COSMIC WAR DANCE!
Virtuoso is in to break the count. He's escorting Virtuoso out and Omega follows...
Hechilles is in while everyone's back is turned! THE END!
Omega turns around and Hechilles says, "Cover him, champ."
Omega takes the fall, begrudgingly...
What a turn of events.
HECHILLES: Omega, you just saw what I did to the first ever GWF champ... You might as well say, I beat the tag champs tonight... What do you think I'm going to do to you at Star Bash!
Wow! Hechilles has brought the attitude and stepped it up recently... Will he be the one to dethrone Omega?
Caelum and Virtuoso take a loss, but one can't hold it against them the way it went down. The tag champs will certainly persevere...
Overall Card Rating: 3.02

GWF Classics #53: Star Bash '78 08.21.2078 from Mira Ceti War Memorial, Cetus
Commander Sam vs. Caiman Commander Sam defeated Caiman with a Commander Slam at 2:19 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Both of these wrestlers started the year off hot and while Sam has only recently cooled, Caiman has struggled during the second half of his rookie year in the GWF. A win here would help either's cause.
There was a short feeling out process in the beginning, but Caiman got the duke and hit a huge brianbuster!
Sam was stunned, but not out...
Caiman whips Sam into the turnbuckle... Sam explodes out with a shoulder tackle! Caiman is up... Commander Slam! Cover!
1, 2, 3!
What a win for Sam!
Caiman is clearly disappointed as Sam offers his hand.
Caiman says he wants a rematch and Sam responds "Anytime, brother, anytime."
Cosmos vs. Blood Cosmos defeated Blood with a reverse piledriver at 4:10 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: This one is stemming from some recent aggression beginning in a tag match and spilling out in to singles action.
Blood flourished in singles action while Jammer was on the shelf, even earning a title shot, but coming up short against Omega. He's vowed that he will not be Cosmos' stepping stone and that if he wants to brawl, they'll brawl and there is no way his mentors could prepare him for that.
Cosmos has had a solid journey here in the GWF since debuting over two years ago. He's participated in marquee feuds and been torn between two mentors. Rumor has it he's forged a budding friendship with Omega's son, the currently in training, Star Warrior. This could be a breakout match for him...
And that's exactly what it was.
Cosmos came out firing on all cylinders! He hit a reverse piledriver and made a cover!
1, 2,, NO!
THE MASTERDROP! 1, 2, NO!
We're seconds into this match and Cosmos has made a major statement!
The action continued, mostly in Cosmos' favor as he wore Blood down and just plain outwrestled him.
Blood hit a desperation dropkick to the youngsters knee. He was clearly hurting, but followed up with a couple moves before Cosmos hit a facebuster from no where and then another reverse piledriver... A cover!
1, 2, 3!
What a win for Cosmos! Blood is out! Cosmos just dominated a former #1 contender.
Star Warrior is out and raises his friend's hand in the middle of the ring.
We've seen Omega's son a few times and it's certainly looking like he could be joining the GWF's ranks soon. Could he and Cosmos form an alliance? And what would that mean to Morpheus and Omega?
Santon the Loner vs. Mimic Mimic defeated Santon the Loner with a spinwheel kick at 8:31 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Mimic picked up what has to be an upset win over Santon recently after a spinwheel kick in a great athletic contest.
Santon didn't take too kindly to it and this match was signed as a result of a post match altercation.
Mimic wasted no time trying to put Santon away again even hitting the dreaded spinwheel kick for a nearfall.
He followed it with a MIMIC NERVE SLEEPER, but Santon wouldn't submit or be put out.
Mimic went up top, but Santon, in desperation threw him from the top...
SPIKE PILEDRIVER! Whoa!
1, 2, NO!
Mimic survived Santon's finisher. Santon is building up a head of steam and begins to wear down the silent one.
Then out of no where, Mimic comes back and hits two spinwheel kicks!
A cover! 1, 2, 3!
Mimic with another upset! Mimic is taunting Santon. Santon is hot! He grabs a chair, but Mimic dances off before he becomes mincemeat.
The Windriders vs. The Crosscurrents Vortex defeated Rama with a WATERY GRAVE at 14:22 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: These two teams are no strangers and have engaged in some great tag action over the past couple of years.
This one was no different. The Wind Riders controlled the early going with quick tags and working the double team.
The Crosscurrents got a couple shots in, but the Wind Riders scored a near fall after a double back body drop.
Tano was taking it to Thetis and followed a somersault splash with a tag for the DEIMOS DRIVER!
1, 2, NO! Vortex is in!
We've got a pier sixer! The ref is warning them and finally escorts Tano to his corner, he turns around in time to see the Crosscurrents make a legal tag...
WATERY GRAVE!
1, 2, 3!
What a finish!
This match could've easily reignited the rivalry between these two teams, then again, did it ever end?
Harley Marlboro vs. K.O. Keller K.O. Keller defeated Harley Marlboro with a DQ at 14:09 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: This was sure to be an interesting matchup in the first meeting of these two standout talents.
Keller is coming off his time limit draw against Screw on our last card and Harley has picked up some quality wins as of later after failing to capture the GWF title, of course he also fell to Hechilles in a failing bid to secure another title shot. Still either of these men could be challenging the champ sooner than later.
Harley took it to Keller with a vengeance! He was all over the former champ and hit multiple big moves. Keller could do nothing to stop the onslaught until finally, about half way through the match he hit THE TEN COUNT out of no where, but Harley kicked out.
Slow to mount his comeback, Keller still punished Marlboro with some stiff blows. He scored another nearfall after a stomp to the chest, but Harley would come back.
Both men, worse for wear after the hard hitting action, struggled to maintain a foothold for very long.
The finish saw Keller duck a lariat and hit a KO Flurry that send Harley out of the ring!
Keller came out, but Harley was all over him again and repeatedly smashed him into the announcer's table. The ref tried to stop him, but he was pushed away and the ref had no choice but to call for a DQ.
Both men are fighting after the bell! What is going on? There was no bad blood between these two... At least until now!
- POW Rules - Rock Solid vs. Paladin Power Moonstrike defeated Ricken Prince with a Tandem finishers at 12:56 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: At our big Main Event celebrating the 50th card in GWF history these two teams did battle only for things to end in a DQ when Prince used his BOW TO THE PRINCE finisher.
All four men brawled after the bell, but Rock Solid stood tall after a FREAKISH FACE SLAM ended Flare's fire.
This POW rules match was sure to be anything but your traditional wrestling bout.
Flare and Screw started things off and Screw just dominated the bout. He and Prince are officially firing on all cylinders as a tag team as the utilized multiple tag, double team maneuvers, and never let up on their opponents.
Moonstrike took the brunt of the beating and after a couple of near falls the action spilled outside!
Moonstrike was split wide open after being hit by a length of pipe by Screw!
Back inside Prince took over and delivered BOW TO THE PRINCE! Flare breaks is up...
ROYAL DECREE! Again Flare makes the save! Screw is in! Prince turns his back on the bloody Moonstrike, convinced he's down for the count...
Flying leg scissors! A cover! 1, 2, No! Screw makes the save...
The ref is trying to restrain Screw... Good luck...
Flare is in to help his partner up... PALADIN DROP! PALADIN MISSILE! Flare helps Moonstrike make the cover!
1, 2, 3! What a win!
Wait! Screw knocks Flare out of the ring! Prince is using the ropes to get up!
Here comes Mimic... FREAKISH FACE SLAM to Moonstrike!
Mimic has some chairs... They set them up... FREAKISH FACE SLAM through the chairs! Screw picks the limp Titan up... ROYAL DECREE!
Moonstrike is a lifeless, bloody mess...
This looks bad... Flare is in brandishing a chair of his own, but the damage is done...
[Moonstrike suffered a terrible neck injury and may miss 4-6 months of action... Mimic, Ricken Prince, and Screw are suspended for 3 cards!]
Jammer vs. Morpheus Morpheus defeated Jammer with a TRIP TO HADES at 10:54 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: These two have been on a collision course for a couple months now. Jammer scored a pinfall victory over Morpheus in tag action and then won via DQ over the man from Aldeberran at The Main Event.
This will be a No DQ contest and both men are sure to take advantage of it.
Morpheus came out of the gates like a hound from hell and brutalized Jammer, hoping to put him away early!
TRIP TO HADES!
NO! Jammer is still in this one! Morpheus keeps the pressure on with a Satanic Skull Smasher and a flying elbow drop. Watching the master at work it's clear where his influence on Cosmos comes into play.
The action spills out and Jammer is able to turn things around! He repays Morpheus with a big shot with the rings stairs and then tries to put him away with a piledriver back inside.
They brawled in and out of the ring with Jammer taking the lead and delivering some shots into the guardrail. He even locked in BAD NIGHT, but Morpheus reached the ropes.
Fortunes would turn again, tho, as Morpheus picked up a charging Jammer and hit a powerslam through a ringside table!
The crowd popped big as both men were down for a while before Morpheus rose to his feet!
The audience was then stunned as Morpheus hit TRIP TO HADES back inside... And Jammer kicked out!!!
Another! 1... 2... NO! How did he do it? Jammer has kicked out of two TRIPS TO HADES after being put through a table!
Morpheus is hot! He scoops Jammer up again and hits a third TRIP TO HADES in a row to finally seal the deal...
What a display by Jammer... I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of this...
- Submission Match - The Mensans vs. Caelum & Virtuoso for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Cordsar defeated Torin Caelum with a MENSAN LOCK at 14:21 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: The Mensans asked for and received this title shot in a submission match! Caelum and Virtuoso had disposed of the Mensans earlier this year, but after the bad blood between the two teams, the champs were more than happy to oblige.
We got another great tag team display from both teams. The Mensans really have turned into one of the finest tag teams in the GWF and Cordsar, despite his loud mouth, can match the best of them hold for hold.
The match was methodical at points and explosive at others as they battled back and forth. Virtuoso and Trotarus started things off and eventually Trotarus wrested away control of the match.
A tag brought Cordsar in and Cordsar took it to the champ, but a miscalculation cost him and Virtuoso hit some big moves including a slingshot plancha from the apron to the inside and a tornado bulldog.
Caelum came in and the ring general went to work. He stretched the Mensan and was working hold after hold, but Cordsar was able to make a desperation tag.
Caelum ducked a spinning elbow smash... Shoulderbreaker! Is it the prelude to CAELUM'S GRIP?
The Saggita Strangler goes up top... NO! Trotarus catches him and tosses him to the mat!
Spinebuster! Caelum is tossed outside, but he's back up and drags Trotarus out, sends him shoulder first into the the post!
Back inside... CAELUM'S GRIP!
Trotarus is going to tap... NO! Cordsar is in! Caelum chases his out of the ring! Virtuoso with a springboard but Cordsar moves! Trotarus blindsides Caelum and clips his knee!
MENSAN LOCK! Caelum is in pain, but Trotarus doesn't have a good hold. He's still weak from earlier...
Cordsar is in! MENSAN LOCK! Caelum won't tap...
MENSAN LOCK!
Virtuoso is being held at bay... Torin Caelum is in excrutiating pain... If he's not careful he could end up on the shelf like Jammer...
Caelum taps! Caelum taps!
We've got NEW tag team champions!!!
I can't believe it!
The Mensans won the Galaxian Tag Team Championship
- 2/3 Falls - Omega vs. Hechilles for the Galaxian Championship Omega defeated Hechilles with a pinning combination at 15:42 Omega defeated Hechilles with a TOMAHAWK THRUST at 19:12 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Hechilles has had quite a rookie year so far. He struggled early on, but has beat name competitors including Harley Marlboro to earn this title shot. Omega, meanwhile, has give a new definition to the word dominance. Even at this stage in the GWF's existence, it is doubtful we'll ever see a more worthy and dominant champion.
Omega came out of the gates swinging. He tried to put Hechilles away early with a flying leg drop, but only got a 2. A COSMIC WAR DANCE only got a 2 count as well and he went back to the drawing board.
Slowing the match down, he began to work over Hechilles' arm. Knowing it would be more difficult for him to pull of his finisher.
They began to go back and forth as Hechilles targeted the neck with clotheslines and neckbreakers, but Omega wouldn't be put down.
Even a belly to back release suplex didn't stop the champion.
Omega hit a spectacular flying chop from the top and then locked in an Indian Death Lock that looked torturous for the challenger, but it still wasn't enough.
Hechilles was able to come back, but it was short lived and when he whipped Omega into the ropes, the champ came off with a flying crucifix pinning combo and got the first fall!
Hechilles was hurting and his right arm hung limply at his side after all the work on it from earlier.
Omega went right on the warpath again and locked in another excruciating Indian Death Lock...
Hechilles somehow makes the ropes, but it was delaying the inevitable as Omega lights him up with a TOMAHAWK THRUST and gets the 1, 2, 3 to defend the Galaxian Title in two straight falls!

GWF Classics #54: The Main Event (card 11) 09.10.2078 from Glacier Sound, Pluto
- Non-Wrestling Segment - We’re coming to you from the Glacier Sound on Pluto! Star Bash ‘78 is in the record books and what an interesting night it was.
We have NEW GWF Galaxian Tag Team Champions in the Mensans! Cordsar actually made Torin Caelum tap out. Of course it came after double teaming and some questionable officiating that allowed both Trotarus and Cordsar to apply their finishers. To be fair, Cordsar was the legal man, and after being in the MENSAN LOCK for damn near two minutes straight and taking quite a beating, Caelum had no choice.
El Virtuoso was incapacitated for the final moments of the match and it turns out he’ll be leaving the GWF for a time, possibly negating a title rematch…
Let’s go to some words from Caelum:
TORIN CAELUM: At Star Bash I lost the tag team championship. I lost it. I know it. El Virtuoso was an amazing champion with me, but he’s sailed on, he has another belt to defend all over this ‘verse and I wish him all the luck in the galaxy. We knew it couldn’t last forever, but it was great while it did. You see, nothing lasts forever. I’ve never been under the delusion that anything was otherwise. It’s the way of life. I could stand here and list my credentials, tell you about my past, but I don’t think there’s any need. I know that the bulk of my career is behind me. My days in the squared circle are numbered. But I think I have one more golden run left in me. One more shot at greatness. And so... from this moment forth... I am dedicating myself to being the one that dethrones Omega. I want to bookend my GWF career as champion. So, Omega, my hat’s in the ring. And Cordsar, not only will I make you pay, but you’re the first stone in my path back to the GWF Galaxian Championship!
Cosmos vs. Caiman Caiman defeated Cosmos with a HANDICAPPER at 15:04 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: These two have gelled so well in the past and this match was no exception.
They jockeyed for position early, but Cosmos came out on top and followed a skull splitting lariat with THE MASTERDROP!
Caiman was able to get the shoulder up and they continued to fight back and forth. They'd slow it down with a few holds and then, bam, a big move would come along.
At one point Caiman shot Cosmos off into the ropes and hit a Mangrove Uppercut!
Cosmos would come back, tho and later followed a kick in the corner up with the Cosmic Skull Crusher.
A superplex and a brainbuster had Cosmos in what seemed to be complete control, but Caiman came off the ropes with a shoulder tackle and a sit-out powerbomb from no where!
Shortly after he hit the HANDICAPPER and called it a day!
Three great matches from these two all ending in a Caiman win, but Cosmos continues to improve and really showed off his growing power with some big moves. He was also a bit more methodical in approach.
Clearly his training and experience are paying off in spades.
- Non-Wrestling Segment - CORDSAR: Torin Caelum! The first GWF champ! I made you tap! I took the tag team titles from you and that masked flunkie that has flown the coop! The Mensans are the tag team champions and there is nothing you can do about it now. Maybe I don’t need to brag anymore, because I’ve beaten you. So my record speaks for itself. My record tells me and EVERYONE, that I am the best submission specialist in the GWF!
The Crosscurrents vs. The Windriders Thetis defeated Tano with a WATERY GRAVE at 12:05 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Another matchup that never fails to disappoint. The rivalry between these two teams has been based on athleticism and agility and they certainly represent some of the best the GWF tag team division has to offer. In fact, it's not too far a of a stretch to imagine the Crosscurrents being in line for a title shot against the new champs, the Mensans.
Rama and Vortex would start things off and right out of the gate we were reminded why these two teams are the upper echelon of pro wrestling.
Jockeying for position, Rama got the duke and made a statement with a hurricanrana! Quick tag work from the Wind Riders seemed to have them in control, but Vortex would come back and hit a jackknife dive after a shoulder tackle that gave the Crosscurrents a head of steam.
They utilized the tag work we're so used to seeing and Thetis scored a nearfall on Tano, but the boys from Deimos came back and the action see sawed again.
Rama and Tano took strong control of the match and scored a couple of nearfalls. Rama scored with a plancha to the outside on Thetis and he was in trouble. A double team neckbreaker led to a cross body off the top that got a very close two for the Wind Riders.
The finish saw Tano score with a lariat and go for the cover... Vortex is in, but Rama cuts him off... The ref gets between them and it looks like Tano could've had the fall...
The ref is escorting Rama out... Vortex with a flying elbow from the top! He puts his partner on Tano!
1, 2, NO!
Thetis with the tag... WATERY GRAVE!
1, 2, 3!
What a match! But I can't help but feel like the Crosscurrents stole one here...
Vortex points to the camera... "Mensans! We want the gold!"
- Non-Wrestling Segment - JAMMER: Morpheus… We both know that that match at Star Bash was as stiff as they come. But remember this: it took you four of your vaunted finishers to put me down! FOUR! And a table! So if you think I’m just going to step aside and say, have at it, you’re more full of it than I thought! I’ve been beaten down, busted open, and ripped apart! But I keep on coming. And this time will be no different! So with the blessings of the GWF booking committee I am challenging you for one more match… And to sweeten the pot, if you win, you can get yourself another title shot… But when I make you tap out… I’m moving on to bigger and better things and capping my year off with a title shot at Galaxies Collide!
Solar Flare vs. Silvar This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Sometimes a time limit draw seems like a masterpiece other times it feels like two guys who have lost their way.
Flare is clearly still reeling after what happened to Moonstrike and has no one to take his frustrations out on with Ricken Prince, Screw, and Mimic suspended until December.
Silvar has never been able to find a foothold in the GWF in spite of a few wins here and there, including over the rookie, Hechilles.
They battled back and forth with both men showing some impressive offense, but neither every being too dominant.
Lots of see saw action, and Flare hit some impressive moves including a top rope leg drop and a pair of fallaway slams, made all the more impressive by Silvar's size.
Frustrations started to show and things started to break down outside as the match turned into a brawl. Flare once again proved his tenacity by giving as good as he got.
The pace slowed a bit as both men were showing the wear and tear of the match. Silvar scored a nearfall with the TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER, but Flare got the shoulder up.
Flare came right back and scored a nearfall of his own with the Titan Drop!
Flare dominated the last stretch of the match and the fans were sure he'd take the win when he strung together some big moves, including a devastating spinning elbow smash, but whether he was too exhausted himself or Silvar brought the spit and vinegar he's sometimes lacked, even a PALADIN MISSILE couldn't finish him off...
We were within two minutes of the 30 minute time limit...
The action would spill outside again and as they brawled out of the ring, the bell rang to signal the time limit draw.
Flare grabbed a mic as Silvar headed back...
SOLAR FLARE: Rock Solid! And this goes for you, too Mimic! There will be hell to pay! Moonstrike and I aren't just partners, we're brothers and no matter what, I will see him avenged, even if that means I go down swinging!
- Non-Wrestling Segment - MORPHEUS: Some things are written in stone. Others are written in sand. Omega, you and I are in stone… Jammer, you’re sand… Gone with the tide. It has been my destiny since day one to become the GWF Galaxian Champion. My destiny. And no hardcore bum on a lucky streak is going to derail that destiny. No loss to Omega, no booking committee. What would I be teaching the next generation like Cosmos if I just gave up? If I just decided, no, I’ve had my shots? I will keep coming. I will not stop. Destiny is inevitable. And I will get there. I will climb that mountain! And, Jammer, if I have to beat you again… Well, let’s just say it’s high tide… And your time is over...
Cordsar vs. Torin Caelum Cordsar defeated Torin Caelum with a middle rope elbow drop at 24:13 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: What a great match. Perhaps Caelum underestimated Cordsar, perhaps the Mensan has truly stepped up his game. Regardless we were treated to a fantastic bout that resulted in what has to be one of the biggest upsets in GWF history.
It was a pure wrestling match from the get go with tons of reversals and mat work from both men. Cordsar would focus on strikes to the knees while Caelum would use his submission skills to stretch and wear down one half of the tag champs.
Cordsar even pulled out a cobra clutch suplex early on that had Caelum reeling.
Caelum came back, tho, and locked in the Torin Death Lock at one point, but Cordsar showed plenty of reserves. He'd even survive CAELUM'S DEATH GRIP!
At this point, Caelum was in full control of the match until he missed a moonsault! Cordsar was moving slowly, but manage to deliver some thrust kicks to the knee and Caelum was hobbled for a time.
Caelum came back, but may have misjudged and when he went up top, Cordsar caught him with a big dropkick!
He scored a nearfall and went for then win again with the figure four! Somehow, Caelum, in spite of his damaged knees was able to reverse the hold...
This is when things got scary... Cordsar in frustration tossed him out of the ring and then hit a tornado DDT off the apron to the entry way and Caelum was split wide open!
The match was nearly stopped, but Trotarus rolled Caelum in to his partner...
Caelum was barely able to stand... Dropkick to the back of the knee!
Cover! 1, 2, NO!!! How did Caelum get the shoulder up? He's a bloody mess... Whipped into the ropes... Sunset flip by Torin!!! 1, 2, NO!
Abdominal stretch! He locks it in! Cordsar is screaming as blood streams down his face!
NO! Cordsar breaks the hold... Caelum is slow on the attack, but he's able to hit a running bulldog and a belly to belly... Huge shoulderbreaker!
Cordsar falls out of the ring, but climbs back in... Caelum is up top, crimson masked and unsteady... Cordsar crotches him and tosses him from the top! He climbs to middle rope... Drops the elbow and makes a cover!
1, 2, 3!
WHAT?!? Cordsar just beat Caelum!
Trotarus helps his partner from the ring, and Cordsar has a mic...
CORDSAR: I did it! I beat you! Again! You think you can go for the title? You can't even get past me! Maybe I'm the one who deserves a shot at Omega! Hahahahaha!
Hechilles and Commander Sam & K.O. Keller vs. Harley Marlboro, Mangus, and Santon the Loner Mangus defeated Commander Sam with a double team piledriver at 6:54 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: This odd 6-man got started with a fantastic exchange of wrestling from Sam and Santon.
It spilled outside early and Sam smashed Santon into a chair at the timekeepers table! The ref allowed it and Sam got a tag to Keller soon after.
Keller and Santon went back and forth, but Santon took control and Keller had to make the defensive tag to Sam...
Santon was able to keep control and got a nearfall after an overhead slam!
Mangus was in and blasted Sam with a front face suplex as the struggled on the top! Sam was hurt and Mangus applied an illegal choke!
Things broke down as Keller entered, but the ref cut him off.. While his back was turned Mangus and Santon blasted Sam with an double team piledriver to score the win!
Hechilles and Harley seemed disappointed they didn't get in and Marlboro grabbed a mic.
HARLEY: So, you barely get by me and then you go on to lose two straight falls in your title shot... Seems to me maybe you just got there too soon. Cause let me tell you, son, I wouldn't have squandered my chance like that...
HECHILLES: Really? If I remember right, that's exactly what you did!
HARLEY: (laughs) Well, then, seems you and I have an issue... Why don't we settle it next card?
Hechilles nods and we have a challenge accepted!
- #1 Contender's Match - Jammer vs. Morpheus Morpheus defeated Jammer with a TRIP TO HADES at 4:58 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Morpheus displayed a very different style in this match.
Jammer came at him early, but Morpheus slapped on a spinning arm lock and dominated, slowly and methodically. He kept it up with holds, before driving the knee into the spine of Jammer!
He dropped a leg and then followed it up with the cobra grip!
Jammer was in big trouble as Morpheus hit a flying elbow drop and then scooped Jammer up and hit TRIP TO HADES for the 1, 2, 3!
Morpheus is dominant and finds himself again earning a shot at Omega!
This time he's all business, tho. No promos, no gusto, no post match beatings. He gets his hand raised and leaves the ring, while Jammer sees his title match hopes swirl down the drain... At least for now...
Overall Card Rating: 3.46

GWF Classics #55: The Main Event (card 12) 10.08.2078 from Triton Pavilion, Neptune
- Non-Wrestling Segment - There are lots of rumors as we continue the road to Galaxies Collide! Of course, we know now that our main event will pit the long time rivals Morpheus and Omega against one another for the GWF title! It's a battle we've seen multiple times over the past few years and Omega always manages to come out on top. Will he continue his dominance? Or is it finally Morpheus' time?
Other big news includes the brewing tensions between KO Keller, Hechilles, and Harley Marlboro. While Keller and Hechilles haven't come to blows, Harley has ticked off both men and with all three of their names being at the top of the contender rankings, along with Santon, their could be a war brewing... Keller had the following comments.
KO KELLER: You know, I’m not big on talking, I usually let these [holds up his taped fists] speak for me… But it’s come to my attention that there are lots of targets out there for these fists. Screw… I haven’t forgot about you and when you get back, I imagine we’ll have ourselves a little moment… Santon, Mangus, the two of you have been thorns in mine and Sam’s side far too long and just when we thought we’d taken care of you you do something like you did on the last card… But I know where the road with us ends… However, there’s one target out there that I damned sure want to know I haven’t forgotten… Harley Marloboro… You go right ahead and have your little match with Hechilles tonight… And if he leaves any pieces of you left… I’m coming for ‘em…
Sam and Caiman met at Star Bash is a great athletic contest that saw Commander Sam prevailing over the rookie. Caiman asked for a rematch and Sam said anytime. That time is tonight and Sam has these words.
COMMANDER SAM: You know, I’ve been looking back on this past year and it’s been a wild ride for all involved. A lot of people have been talking about Hechilles as rookie of the year, but I’ve been seeing a lot in his fellow rookie, Caiman. We had a hell of a contest at Star Bash ‘78 and I’m more than looking forward to stepping into the ring with him again. He’s got a lot to offer the GWF and even if I have to put him down again, I’ve no doubt that he can and will go far. In the meantime, tho, Commander Sam is here to stand tall for Earth and move towards the future… A future that I hope has some gold in it!
Torin Caelum wants another match with Cordsar. He’s seeking vengeance and restitution after having to tap twice to Cordsar’s MENSAN LOCK. Cordsar set up a bout with is tag partner Trotarus. Caelum will have to get past him in order to face Cordsar again for retribution.
Also, in other news, Moonstrike was recently interviewed as he recuperates from his injury at the hands of Rock Solid and he had some strong words for the perpetrators!
MOONSTRIKE: You know, as I was carted off on a stretcher at Star Bash, I stared up into those lights and wondered if after all these years and after all these wars, if this Titan was headed home… I survived the rise and fall of POW… I came to the GWF and became a champion with my best friend and partner, Solar Flare… I faced down the toughest competitors that could be thrown at me. Old friends and enemies like Blood and Jammer, new ones like the Mensans… But when it comes down to it, there’s Screw and Ricken Prince… You two scum bags have finally pulled the last straw! I may be layed up for now, I may be out of action, but it is only a matter of time before I’m back in a GWF ring… And when that day comes, you two better run and hide! I don’t care how big you are, I don’t care how much money you have, or how low you’re willing to stoop! You messed with the wrong Titans! And we’re going to war!
The Windriders vs. Defiance Jammer defeated Rama with a BAD NIGHT at 2:45 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Tano and Rama suffered a pair of losses to the Crosscurrents who stand on the precipice of challenging the new tag champs to their first defense.
Jammer came up short in his bid to earn a title match and Blood is eager to get the tag team back on track.
And that's exactly what they did...
Blood and Tano started things off and Blood stopped an arm drag and then dropkicked the knee! It was clear that Defiance was looking to ground the Deimos natives and strike and grind their way to a win.
Some nice teamwork led to Jammer taking it to Rama and cinching in BAD NIGHT after a big belly to belly!
Blood cut the ring off from Tano and Rama tapped out as Defiance rolled through this match.
The question now is, will the Crosscurrents cruise to their title shot, or will Defiance play spoiler and be one last hurdle before the Mensans have their first defense?
Vortex vs. Cordsar Vortex defeated Cordsar with a DQ at 2:36 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Cordsar is riding high after tapping Torin Caelum and then pinning him in a brutal bout on the last card. One of those times for the tag straps.
Trotarus accompanied his partner as did Thetis...
Cordsar started off with some wicked kicks, clearly hoping to soften up the knee for his MENSAN LOCK, but Vortex hit a big shoulder tackle off the ropes to get some momentum.
He'd hit a top rope plunge, but Cordsar rolled out and it was at that time that things broke down.
Trotarus hit a lariat and Cordsar snuck up to dropkick the knee. Thetis was making his way over when the double team drew a DQ from the ref and the Mensans headed to the back cackling and holding their tag belts high...
Caiman vs. Commander Sam Commander Sam defeated Caiman with a SAM'S ATOMIC DROP at 28:39 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: Wow. It what had to arguably be the best match of either man's career, they went nearly the time limit and it was an amazing back and forth affair that could've gone either way.
Words can't really do it justice. They wrestled a complex match that saw strength, speed, technical proficiency, and spectacular moves.
Many thought the finish would come after Caiman planted Sam with two consecutive sit out powerbombs! Sam stayed in the match, tho and kept coming back to give as good as he got. Not to be outdone, Caiman would do the same.
The announcer had already gone past "ten minutes remaining" and "five minutes remaining" when finally a decisive finish came...
Sam reversed a whip into the turnbuckle and hit the Star Spangled Banner, but was met with a lariat from Caiman... Somehow Sam got up first and mounted the turnbuckle.
A flying clothesline sent Caiman out of the ring and Sam then hit a diving double axe handle off the top! A hi risk move we don't normally see from Sam, but he rolled a limp Caiman in and hit SAM'S ATOMIC DROP for good measure to get the decisive 1, 2, 3!
They got a standing ovation as Sam helped his opponent to his feet and shook his hand.
Caiman suffers another loss to Sam, but there's no doubt that his star continues to grow with a display of amazing athleticism and grit in a truly exceptional match. Torin Caelum vs. Trotarus Torin Caelum defeated Trotarus with a DQ at 12:18 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Torin Caelum is in need of the win here in order to get the chance to exact some revenge on Cordsar.
Caelum wrestled a smart match and really took it to the bigger man. He showed examples of his strength, tenacity, and technical skills putting on quite the display.
That's not to say Trotarus looked like a chump. He didn't. In fact he gave the former GWF champ a run for his money.
About half way through, tho, Caelum locked in his patented finishing hold and looked to have the deal sealed when Cordsar pulled the ref from the ring! It almost drew the DQ, but while the ref was distracted, Trotarus was able to sneak up behind Caelum and dropped him with a double arm clothesline and a powerbomb!
We saw multiple pin attempts and submission holds, but neither man would give in.
Caelum even pulled out the moonsault which is something we've not seen from him in a while. Perhaps illustrating how important this run is to him.
The finish came after Caelum hit a big dropkick in the turnbuckle! He then began stretching the tag champ with an abdominal stretch, the Torin Death Lock, and Boston Crab.
Tortarus, tho rolled outside the ring after the crab hold was broken and it was at that point the tag champs double teamed Caelum outside and brought a chair into play.
The ref called for the DQ and Cordsar, perhaps not thinking about the consequences of his actions just bought himself another match with Torin Caelum!
What will the outcome of that bout be?
K.O. Keller vs. Santon the Loner K.O. Keller defeated Santon the Loner with a DQ at 6:35 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: These two went toe to toe for the first five minutes and it was some exciting action!
They're no strangers and have feuded across the galaxy for the past 4 years. Santon is one of the few people to stand eye to eye with the former champ and exchange strikes and that's what we saw tonight.
One spot saw Santon reverse Keller into the corner, hit a running knee and then vault up to the second turnbuckle and drop an atomic knee drop that had the crowd wincing with Keller.
KO came back, tho, and after a lariat and some strikes, he seemingly slowed the pace with a front face lock... He shoots Santon into the turnbuckle, but Santon moves and Keller goes up and over to the floor! He's hurt!
Santon smells blood and is out after him... He's got a chair! Whack! And that'll be the match as the ref calls for the DQ.
Santon with another shot! Here comes Commander Sam... NO! Mangus intercepts him! We've got chaos!
Harley Marlboro! What's he doing... He creams Santon with a knee!
Mangus and Sam are fighting in the audience towards an exit!
Harley goes to help Keller... Keller drops him with a KO Punch! Did he know who it was?
Marlboro doesn't care... They're going at it! Santon is in the mix! My goodness! All three going at it!
Mangus and Sam have been separated in the halls of the arena by security. Officials are pouring out and the three men at ringside are finally pulled apart...
Harley's got a match with Hechilles... And it starts next!
Wow...
- 2/3 Falls - Harley Marlboro vs. Hechilles Harley Marlboro defeated Hechilles with a MARLBORO RUSH at 27:44 Hechilles defeated Harley Marlboro with a DQ at 9:40 This match ended in a draw (Time Limit Draw) at 30:00 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: Harley is already in the ring after the brujah that followed the Keller/Santon bout.
Hechilles makes his way out to a good reaction from the crowd and these two waste no time going at it.
Early on Harley slapped Hechilles in the face, but the youngster would have none of it and ended up suplexing Marlboro out of his boots!
They would see saw for the majority of the first fall, neither man scoring with big moves until Hechilles ducked a lariat and hit a BIG belly to back release suplex...
Harley rolls out... Hechilles follows, but Harley slams him face first into the table! And again despite the ref's warnings... We've got a bell!
Harley loses the first fall by DQ! He's hot! The ref warns him again and the action gets back inside.
The next 20 minutes are some of the hardest hitting back and forth action we've seen in the GWF.
Both men hit big moves and strikes and each goes for their signature submissions, the Volian Torture Lock and clover leaf, respectively. But neither is giving an inch or any quarter as they jockey back and forth with lots of bombs and nearfalls.
Hechilles somehow kicked out of two MARLBORO RUSHes! Harley was relentless, tho and kept coming. He mounted the top and came off with a cross body, but Hechilles hits a big dropkick and makes a cover! 1, 2, NO!
We're down to 5 minutes left in the match!
A clover leaf lock can't get the tap out... Another big belly to back release suplex... Harley is hurting and Hechilles sends him into the corner...
Double lariats! Both men are down and hurt!
NO! Harley is up and he is fired up! MARLBORO RUSH!
1, 2, 3! They're even at one fall a piece with under 2 1/2 minutes in the match!
The closing moments saw Hechilles somehow come back and hit two big Russian Leg Sweeps! He tosses Harley out...
We're under 10 seconds! The ref is counting for the countout...
The bell rings... We're out of time!!! Are you kidding me?
What a match. What a night! Harley has inserted himself into the feud between Santon and Keller after being called out by KO in light of their Star Bash match, but we have unfinished business between Harley and Hechilles as well. What will the future hold for these competitors?
And will we hear from the GWF champ now that Morpheus is once again the #1 challenger for the title?
We're inching our way towards Galaxies Collide and one way or another we'll have our answers to all these questions as we close out 2078... Don't dare miss the next GWF Main Event!

Great work here. I just restarted my Classics fed and currently working on my first show. Your fed has given me some good ideas, both for ways to use my wrestlers and just general formatting of the content.
