WAR GAMES RETURN TO ORIGINAL FORMAT USWF Commissioner Grogan held a press conference at the Andromeda Nebula Pavilion on the morning of May 16, the day of the Andromeda Explosion Supercard, to announce the beginning of the 2113 USWF War Games. “For the past few years, we have followed the GWF’s format for the War Games,” Grogan began. “However, most of you will remember that things were not always that way. Prior to 2107, the USWF did not base its War Games on the accumulation of points toward a goal by winning individual matches, but rather on head-to-head nightly matchups between teams. We have decided that this year we will return to our original format. “Beginning on our May 23 card at the Homam Superior Academy, each USWF event will feature a direct matchup of two War Games teams. Each of these contests will feature two tag team matches and three singles matches. The team that wins at least three of these five contests will earn the victory for the evening. All teams will face each other team a total of four times, and the team with the most victories in this schedule will be declared the War Games winner. The Games will end on November 28, right back here at on Andromeda. “Each team roster will contain ten members: three singles wrestlers, two tag teams, and three alternates to take over in the event of injuries and suspensions. Roster changes will be allowed up until September 9.” The commissioner then announced the rosters with which each team would begin the 2113 War Games:
Warriors United: Jack of Diamonds, Raven, Lycanthrope, Crow, Zed Marlowe, Gordo, Theater of Pain, and the Protectorate. Managers are Exo-King and the Incredible Badger.
The Star Defenders: Pathfinder, Lance At-Las, Kati, Holocaust, Gila, Blackout (Charon and Scorpio), and Espionage. Manager is the Unknown Soldier. In addition, the roster will also include Dark Justice, who was recently released by Krakan in the GWF.
Penthouse Suite: Colossus, the Dominator, Mace, Wildcat, Grunge, Dynamo, The Penthouse Punks, and the Pekhota. Managers are Marikel Magnifique and Cassandra.
The Phantastics: Mayhem, Blitz, Chupacabras, Mourn, The Troubleshooters, the Ninja Assassins, and the Lower World. Managers are Phantasy and Maleph.
Primary Colors and the Agents of Fortune: Painmaster, Dagger Mack, Homicide, Angst, Talisman, Indigo, Upper Class (Witherspoon and Varsity), and the Masked Marvels. Managers are Silver Ace and Marcel de Sade.
ANDROMEDA EXPLOSION 2113 The USWF held its tenth annual Andromeda Explosion supercard on May 16, 2113 at the Andromeda Nebula Pavilion. This year’s card took place before a sellout crowd of over 47, 000 fans. Full results of the card were as follows:
The Lower World defeated the Masked Marvels Time: 3:59 The Brymstone team got the win when Death’s Head put down Lycosa with a “Funeral March.”
Splatter defeated Zouave Time: 3:44 The lunatic blasted Zouave with Arsenal to get the pin.
Angst defeated Dagger Mack Time: 3:57 Angst, who has had a poor year thus far in 2113, made a strong showing on this night as he stopped the legendary brawler Dagger Mack with an “Ante Mortem.”
The Ninja Assassins defeated the Troubleshooters Time: 4:39 Muss fell to the “Double Edged Sword” to give the Ninjas the upset win.
The Dominator defeated Holocaust Time: 4:01 The Aran superstar used a top rope power bomb to score the pin.
Zed Marlowe defeated Wildcat Time: 4:27 This high-flying contest ended when Marlowe hit the “Duck and Cover.”
The Penthouse Punks defeated Espionage Time: 3:31 Espionage continued to struggle as Saboteur missed an attempted deathjump on Romulus and was pinned by the “View From The Top.”
Flamsteed Street Fight Crow defeated Homicide Time: 6:00 This brutal match was all Crow from the opening bell as he beat Homicide all over the arena and finally pinned him with a “Deathsault.” Homicide had to be helped from the ring area after the match.
Lepus Stun Rod Match Lance At-Las defeated Talisman Time: 5:07 This contest was very competitive until Lance scored with the “Mars Manhandler” for the win.
Four Weapons of Destruction Match for the USWF Hardcore Championship Mourn defeated Kati (c) Time: 6:08 The strange rookie from Brymstone claimed the hardcore title in this tough matchup. Both wrestlers were badly beaten when Kati finally could not continue and was forced to surrender his belt.
Castor Chain Match Mace defeated Pathfinder of Ceres Time: 6:21 The latest installment in this growing rivalry was a hard-fought and even contest that ended when Mace landed his “Dead to Rights” finisher.
Upper Class defeated Blackout Time: 3:48 These two teams have engaged in many great matches, but on this night Witherspoon and Varsity had the advantage all the way until Scorpio went down to Varsity’s “P.C.D.”
Cosmic Cage Match Mayhem defeated Lycanthrope Time: 4:04 The powerful Aethran outlasted the son of his old rival Wolf by hitting the “Leap of Doom.”
Titan Hardcore Match Raven defeated Colossus Time: 5:58 This battle of two of the USWF’s major stars ended when Raven scored with a “Bladerunner.”
USWF Tag Team Championship Match Theater of Pain (c) defeated the Pekhota Time: 4:37 The champions have had a shaky start to their title reign, but they survived on this night as Kulak went down to a “Shakespeare.”
USWF Heavyweight Championship Match Jack of Diamonds (c) defeated Painmaster by disqualification Time: 4:10 Painmaster had earned the title shot with a non-title win over Jack a week earlier, but this time the champion had the match in hand all the way. The challenger was disqualified for blasting Jack with a chair on the arena floor, but he was already bloodied, frustrated, and clearly beaten when the end came.
RAVEN INJURED ON FIRST WAR GAMES CARD The Warriors United team claimed victory on the first card of the USWF War Games, defeating Penthouse Suite by a 3-2 margin at the Homam Superior Academy on May 23. However, the win was costly as Raven suffered an injury at the hands of Mace.
The two former W.A.R. teammates, who have been developing a rivalry in the USWF for some time, squared off in one of the War Games singles matches. Mace caught his opponent off guard with just under three minutes gone in the match and blasted Raven with his “Dead to Rights” finisher. Mace then covered his one-time partner for the win, but after the bell he continued beating his fallen foe. The Pehkota ran to the ring to help Mace until Lycanthrope arrived on the scene with a chair that scattered his teammate’s assailants.
After the card, the Incredible Badger announced that Raven had suffered ligament damage in his right ankle and would be out of action for as much as six weeks.
LOWER WORLD CLAIMS TAG TEAM BELTS In a surprising turn of events, the Lower World captured the USWF Tag Team Championships by defeating Theater of Pain at the Colonnade of the Southern Cross on June 6, 2113.
Theater of Pain dominated their challengers for most of the match, beating down first Death’s Head and then Erebus and narrowly missing a pin several times. However, the Brymstone team kept fighting, and the champions could not put them away. Finally Death’s Head took the advantage from Tragedy in a melee outside the ring and quickly hit a deathjump to pull off the upset.
Theater of Pain held the titles for just under two months, but they defended them only twice as their performance during their title reign was very unsteady. The Lower World claimed their first championship in the USWF. They had briefly held the GWF’s now defunct Interplanetary Tag Team belts in 2107.

THREE TITLES CHANGE HANDS AT INTERSTELLAR RUMBLE The Interstellar Rumble was first created as a GWF supercard in 2095. In 2097 the GWF discontinued the event, and rights to the card were later purchased by the USWF, which first presented the Rumble as a year-ending card in 2101. In 2103 the Interstellar Rumble moved from December to mid-summer and was relocated from the Mimas Spectrum to the Rhea Forum of Saturn. In 2106 USWF transferred the event to Earth’s Victory Garden.
The 2113 Rumble was held on July 9 before a crowd of 100, 522 fans. The scheduled main event was a USWF Heavyweight Title contest matching the champion Jack of Diamonds against his War Games teammate and friend Lycanthrope, the son of GWF legend Wolf.
Ninja Assassins defeated Theater of Pain Time: 5:37 Theater of Pain started well, but the Ninjas made a comeback and hit Tragedy with a “Double Edged Sword” for the win.
Talisman defeated Dagger Mack Time: 4:10 Talisman pulled off the upset over the long-time USWF star after hitting Dagger Mack with a running spear.
Between matches, Raven commented on his upcoming street fight match with Mace. “We were friends once,” Raven stated. “I don’t know what happened to him. All I do know is that when he intentionally injured me a couple of months ago, any friendship we once had was gone for good. Tonight I’m going to show him why he should have stuck to tag team wrestling. Anything goes now, and I'll do what I have to in order to win.”
Wildcat defeated Lycosa Time: 3:55 This very fast-paced match ended when Wildcat hit the “Thrill of the Kill.”
Titan Hardcore Match Crow defeated Homicide Time: 4:50 The USWF’s aging all-time victory leader went down again as Crow connected with a “Deathsault” to claim the victory.
The Pekhota defeated Espionage Time: 2:44 The Russian team continued Espionage’s year-long slump as Molotok hit Shylock with a “Bayonet.”
Chupacabras defeated Halcón Oro Time: 3:51 This matchup of two former cruiserweight champions ended when the transrevolved Chupacabras used a foreign object to knock out his opponent.
Cosmic Cage Match for the USWF Hardcore Title Painmaster defeated Mourn (c) Time: 4:34 The rookie Mourn’s reign as hardcore champion ended as Painmaster dominated the contest and won with a “Torture Rack.”
Lepus Stun Rod Match Angst defeated Lance At-Las Time: 3:55 Angst scored the win with an “Ante Mortem.”
Castor Chain Match Kati defeated the Dominator Time: 1:27 Kati wasted no time in knocking down his opponent and connecting with a “Samoan Revenge” for the win.
The Troubleshooters defeated the Protectorate Time: 6:17 This installment in the fast-growing feud between these teams was controlled for most of the match by Exo-King’s team, but the Troubleshooters made a comeback and finally connected with a “Trouble Times Two” on Zouave. During the match, a figure cloaked in black was seen standing in one of the exits. The figure made no move to approach the ring.
Circinus Cell Match Mayhem defeated Colossus Time: 8:27 This brutal contest was one of the highlights of the card as the two former GWF Heavyweight Champions pounded each other without mercy. Mayhem finally won when he threw Colossus off the top of the cage and the cyborg was declared unable to continue. Both wrestlers are expected to miss several weeks of action due to their injuries.
Interstellar Championship Match Grunge defeated Pathfinder of Ceres (c) Time: 4:20 In a stunning upset, Grunge, who already held the cruiserwight championship, defeated the USWF legend for the second time in a month and claimed the Interstellar Title when he connected with a “Guitar Shot.”
“I did it!” Grunge crowed after the match. “All of you who doubted me for my whole career can stick it now. I proved I can beat anyone. I proved I can be a champion. Who else has two belts right now? I’m the best, and the heavyweight championship will be next for me."
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match Penthouse Punks defeated Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) Time: 5:44 The Punks won this matchup of two of the federation’s top tag teams when Varsity went down to the “View From The Top.”
Flamsteed Street Fight Raven defeated Mace Time: 9:40 While the excitement and brutality of the Circinus Cell Match between Colossus and Mayhem was hard to top, this contest may have done so. The fight stretched all over the arena and involved numerous foreign objects as Raven sought revenge for being injured by Mace earlier in the year. The battle finally ended when Raven power bombed his larger opponent through an interview platform.
USWF Tag Team Championship Match Blackout (Charon and Scorpio) defeated the Lower World (c) Time: 5:18 The Brymstone team put in a great effort in defending their belts in this wild title match. Erbebus was beaten down first but survived to tag in his partner. Charon then received a pounding from the champions but finally tagged in Scorpio. In the end the challengers scored with their “Total Blackout” finisher on Death’s Head to win the tag titles for the second time in their careers.
USWF Heavyweight Championship Match Jack of Diamonds (c) defeated Lycanthrope by countout Time: 4:15 The son of Wolf once again came up short in his bid for the heavyweight belt after Jack of Diamonds connected with a suicide dive outside the ring. Lycanthrope could not recover in time to answer the ten count, thus giving the victory to the champion.
During the match, the mysterious cloaked figure again appeared in the exit to watch the action. When the final bell rang, the figure began to advance toward the ring. The stranger moved slowly, almost mechanically, as he climbed through the ropes to face the champion and his father.
“I’m sure you did not expect to see me, did you, King?” asked the stranger. With a slow movement he reached up and unclasped his cloak, letting it fall to the mat and revealing the himself as Death Knight, the one-time GWF wrestler who had been banished in 2096 after the first GWF Sudden Death competition. “But I’m back, and you and I have a score to settle.”
After a moment’s hesitation, Exo-King actually chuckled. “You?” he said. “I don’t know what you’re doing back here, but you were never a match for me in the past, and you aren’t now. You might want to march back out the way you came before you get yourself hurt.”
“I am here to give you a warning,” Death Knight answered as if he had not heard the King's ridicule. “I have not forgotten. You will regret what you did to me. I will have a surprise for you very soon, a surprise for both of you. Be ready. I will have my revenge.”
With that, the unexpected guest turned and climbed out of the ring. Many observers noted that he had returned to his original Death Knight costume rather than the Death Masque image he was using at the time of his banishment.
Later in the evening, Exo-King commented on the incident. “How do I know what he’s doing here?” the King shrugged. “He was a nutcase in the past, and obviously nothing has changed. But he’s always been a loser, so he doesn’t worry me much. I don’t know what his problem is with me, but if I have to I’ll come out of retirement myself to take care of him. He’d better crawl back to wherever he’s been hiding all these years and stay out of my way.”
USWF Color Commentator Killer Queen, an original partner of both Exo-King and Death Knight, had a slightly different take on the matter. “The King has always been my friend, so I’m not going to say much,” he stated. “But there's more to this situation than anyone realizes. The King knows very well what Death Knight was talking about. I have no idea what Death Knight’s so-called surprise is supposed to be, but I can promise everyone that this is not over yet.”

DEATH KNIGHT REAPPEARS ON REGULUS Former GWF wrestler Death Knight made an unexpected appearance on the USWF card at the Regulus Civic Stadium on August 13, 2113, a month after his surprising confrontation with Exo-King at the Interstellar Rumble supercard.
The card on Regulus ended with USWF Heavyweight Champion Jack of Diamonds claiming a one-sided victory over Talisman in a non-title match. As Exo-King climbed into the ring to congratulate his son, however, the familiar figure of Death Knight strode through the crowd and climbed through the ring ropes, waving silently for a microphone.
“I thought you’d crawled back into whatever hole you’d been hiding in for all these years,” snapped Exo-King, who had also picked up a ring microphone. “What are you doing here this time?”
“I am going nowhere, King,” Death Knight replied calmly. “You and I still have business to settle.”
Exo-King scowled angrily. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. We parted ways a long time ago. There’s nothing to settle between us. I’m through with you.”
“But I’m not through with you, King. I know the truth. I know what you did to me. You took my career, and I’m going to make you regret it. In one month this federation has its next supercard on Centaurus. I will be there, and I will have a surprise for you and your son the champion.”
“Who do you think you are?” The King snarled, his anger growing. “Jack will already have a match scheduled for that night. You can’t just walk in here and challenge the heavyweight champion.”
Death Knight shook his head. “You mistake me, King. I am not challenging you or your son. I am threatening you. I don’t want or need a match. Your son can go ahead with his title defense against whoever he wants to face. But, win or lose, when it's over I will be there, and on that night both you and he will begin to pay for what you did to me.”
WARRIORS UNITED OPEN UP LARGE WAR GAMES LEAD The Warriors United team, led by USWF Heavyweight Champion Jack of Diamonds, has established a substantial lead as the 2113 USWF War Games near their halfway point.
The USWF War Games are based on one-on-one matchups between teams. On each card two teams face each other in a series of five matches, two tag team contests and three singles. The team that wins at least three of these five contests earns the victory for the evening. Teams are comprised of no more then ten members: three singles wrestlers, two tag teams, and up to three alternates.
Warriors United has won seven of its first eight matches to take a firm hold on first place, their only loss coming at the hands of the Phantastics. The Star Defenders are a distant second with a 4-4 record. Penthouse Suite has fallen to the bottom of the standings, in part due to a serious injury to Colossus.
Complete War Games records and rosters are as follows:
1. Warriors United (Jack of Diamonds, Raven, Lycanthrope, Crow, Zed Marlowe, Gordo, Theater of Pain, and the Protectorate) 7 wins 1 loss
2. The Star Defenders (Pathfinder, Lance At-Las, Kati, Holocaust, Gila, Charon, Scorpio, Espionage, and Dark Justice) 4 wins 4 losses
3.The Phantastics (Mayhem, Blitz, Chupacabras, Mourn, The Troubleshooters, the Ninja Assassins, and the Lower World) 3 wins 4 losses
4. Primary Colors and the Agents of Fortune (Painmaster, Dagger Mack, Homicide, Angst, Talisman, Indigo, Witherspoon, Varsity, and the Masked Marvels) 2 wins 4 losses
5. Penthouse Suite (Colossus, the Dominator, Mace, Wildcat, Grunge, Dynamo, The Penthouse Punks, and the Pekhota) 2 wins 5 losses

CENTAURUS COLLISION 2113 The Centaurus Collision was created in 2104 as a GWF supercard. The USWF purchased the rights to the Collision in 2106, and the event is held annually at the Alpha Centauri Colonnade. The 2113 supercard was held on September 17 before a sellout crowd of nearly 34,,000 fans. The main event for the 2113 Collision was scheduled to be a USWF Heavyweight Title match between champion Jack of Diamonds and number one contender Mayhem. However, perhaps the most anticipated aspect of the night was not a match at all, but rather the promise of Death Knight that he would be on hand with a surprise for Exo-King.
CENTAURUS COLLISION RESULTS:
The Masked Marvels defeated the Protectorate by DQ Time: 6:43 The opening match on the card was a tough back-and-forth battle that ended in disqualification when Halcón Oro landed the “Ave de Rapina” on Zouave. Sentinal jumped in for the pin save and continued his attack too long, forcing the referee to call for the bell. Throughout the contest, Exo-King, the manager of the Protectorate, seemed distracted and continually gazed nervously into the crowd. After the disqualification, Exo-King called for the ring microphone.
“Alright, Death Knight, I’ve had enough,” the King declared angrily. “If you've got something to say, or some surprise, bring it on. I’m right here waiting, and I’m sick of waiting. Get out here now.” However, Death Knight did not appear in response, and eventually the King and his defeated team left the ring.
Ursa Major defeated Dagger Mack Time: 1:48 Ursa Major, who had held the USWF Heavyweight Championship briefly when the federation was still newly formed in 2100, competed at the Collision as a guest during his suspension from the GWF and made quick work of one-time rival Dagger Mack with a “Shotgun Cradle.”
“It’s fun to be back here,” Ursa noted after the match. “I always think fondly on my time in this federation. It’s the only singles belt I ever held. I may not be what I once was, but obviously neither is Dagger Mack. It felt good to beat him again.”
Lepus Stun Rod Match Talisman defeated Kati Time: 3:31 Talisman pulled off the upset with an “Amulet Drop” and then continued to pound Kati with the stun rod after the bell. The Samoan star may miss up to three weeks of action with the injuries he sustained.
Wildcat defeated Zed Marlowe Time: 2:19 Before the match began, Marlowe’s manager Exo-King took the ring microphone and again demanded that Death Knight appear. Once again the King received no response. When the match finally started, both Marlowe and the King seemed distracted and unfocused, and Wildcat had no problem scoring the win with a deathjump.
Theater of Pain defeated the Ninja Assassins Time: 5:03 Theater of Pain got the victory when Tragedy rolled up Daemon after a missed deathjump.
Blade defeated Mourn Time: 4:13 Blade, like Ursa Major competing in the USWF during a GWF suspension, could not resist the challenge of fighting a Brymstone wrestler at a Centaurus supercard and had no trouble scoring with a “Blade of Retribution” to get the pin.
Splatter defeated Rising Sun Time: 4:38 The third member of the Titan trio under GWF suspension was upset by Splatter when the lunatic blasted him with a “Meet Arsenal.” Rising Sun’s disappointing year thus continued even in the USWF.
After the match, Splatter spoke to USWF interviewer Qualitar. “What a great night,” the masked man said. “Me and Arsenal beat up Rising Sun. Krakan would be proud of me. Too bad I don’t much care what Krakan thinks. But it was still fun pounding that punk. Now me and Arsenal are gonna hang around and watch the fireworks. I don’t know what Death Knight’s surprise for Exo-King is, but I never have like the King or his boy Jack, and Death Knight and me were teammates once. I can’t wait to see what happens.”
Total Anarchy Match for the USWF Hardcore Championship Blitz defeated Painmaster (c) Time: 6:40 The Aethran powerhouse was beaten down early but came back to slam Painmaster off a hologram screen and pin him to win the first singles title of his career.
Castor Chain Match Angst defeated Lance At-Las Time: 6:16 Angst worked through a panic attack and blasted Lance with an “Ante Mortem” to earn the victory.
Upper Class (Varsity and Witherspoon) defeated the Troubleshooters Time: 11:16 This outstanding matchup of two of the federation’s top tag teams went back and forth repeatedly, with neither team managing to hold an advantage for long, until Upper Class finally put down The Bomb with a “Halo.”
Cruiserweight Championship Match Grunge (c) defeated Chupacabras Time: 5:50 Chupacabras put in a great effort, but Grunge came back and scored with a “Guitar Shot” to continue his improbable title reign. The former tag-team expert has now held the USWF’s cruiserweight belt for over five months and also holds the Interstellar Title.
Ruins of Antilia Match Pathfinder defeated The Dominator Time: 3:19 Fighting in the artificial environment, Pathfinder dominated his opponent and won the match in the ring with a “Ceres Crunch.”
Titan Hardcore Tag Team Match The Penthouse Punks defeated Espionage Time: 6:04 Espionage seemed to have broken out of its year-long slump in recent weeks, but on this night they could not overcome the Punks as Shylock went down to a “View from the Top.”
Scorpi King of the Ring Match Mace defeated Lycanthrope Time: 12:11 This brutal match left both wrestlers battered and injured, but Mace came out on top after pounding the son of Wolf into an exposed turnbuckle twice with his “Dead to Rights” finisher. Lycanthrope is expected to miss a month of action, while Mace himself may miss two weeks.
Cosmic Cage Match Raven defeated Colossus Time: 4:45 Raven prevailed in this tough contest by nailing his opponent with two consecutive “Bladerunners.”
USWF Tag Team Championship Match Blackout (c) defeated the Pekhota Time: 3:11 The Pekhota had been hot recently and had even snapped Blackout’s record-setting fourteen match winning streak in a non-title match, but on this night Charon and Scorpio were too much for the Russians as Kulak went down to Scorpio’s “Darkness Falls” finisher.
Titan Hardcore Match for USWF Heavyweight Championship Jack of Diamonds (c) defeated Mayhem Time: 8:04 This contest was a brutal match. Mayhem scored early with a huge “Leap of Doom,” but Exo-King distracted the referee to save the title for his son. The fight then spilled all over the arena, with both Exo-King and Mayhem’s ally Blitz becoming involved. At one point Jack even put Mayhem through a table at ringside, and several other foreign objects also came into play. In the end, Jack used his father’s “Throne Strap” move to put away the Aethran and retain his title.
As Exo-King helped the battered champion to his feet, Death Knight finally made his appearance, walking slowly down through the crowd and into the ring. The King pointed at his one-time partner and shouted, “I’m in no mood for you now. Save your surprises and your lies. My son and I are out of here.”
“No, King,” Death Knight replied calmly. “Not yet. Not until I tell everyone what you did to me. Not until your own son knows the truth. Not until I tell how you got me banned from the GWF.”
By this time, Raven, Exo-King’s long-time friend, had made his way to ringside and was watching the unfolding drama intently. However, the King paid no attention to Raven’s presence and shouted back at Death Knight, “You’re delusional. Darkos exiled you. Go haunt him for a while. Or go take up your complaints with Lord Nexus, since it was the Titans who beat your team. My fight in that Sudden Death was with the Royal Court. I had nothing to do with your exile.”
Death Knight stared silently at Exo-King for a long moment. Then he responded, his voice still steady and calm.
“You made a deal with Darkos, King. You claimed you hated him, that he was one of your worst enemies, but behind everyone’s backs you struck a deal to get rid of me.”
“Liar!” Exo-King screamed as he leapt forward at Death Knight. The King swung his mighty arm, and Death Knight barely managed to evade the blow. Jack of Diamonds stepped between the two men, trying to separate them and restore calm, but as he did so another individual who had crept silently and unnoticed to ringside jumped into the fray. The newcomer was a large man, not so tall as Exo-King but much bigger than Jack, and his face was covered by a skeletal-looking mask. He dove at Jack with a gauntleted fist extended, stunning the surprised champion and knocking him into his father. Both Jack and the King fell to the mat.
When the new masked man arrived and attacked Jack of Diamonds, Raven jumped up onto the ring apron and began to climb through the ropes to help his allies, but he was blasted from behind by a large wooden club: Splatter has snuck into place behind Raven and hammered him with Arsenal. Raven fell to the arena floor in a heap and lay unconscious.
In the ring, as Death Knight stomped and kicked the prone Exo-King, the big newcomer lifted Jack to his feet. He then sat the dazed champion on the nearest top turnbuckle, climbed up next to him, hooked on a side headlock, and dove off for a crushing top rope bulldog. With Jack now essentially defenseless, the masked man knelt down on his victim’s chest and began punching him repeatedly with his gauntleted fist. Splatter climbed into the ring and joined Death Knight in beating Exo-King. Death Knight paused momentarily, apparently taken off guard by Splatter’s presence, but quickly resumed his attack.
As the beating continued. Zouave, Sentinel, and Zed Marlowe emerged from the dressing room and ran to their manager’s aid. The three masked attackers slipped out of the ring and exited through the crowd. Before he left, however, Death Knight again grabbed a microphone.
“This is only the beginning, King,” the triumphant assailant said, his voice still calm and even. “You didn’t want to hear the truth tonight, but the truth will come out. You can’t stop it. And now you’ve met my protégé. You can call him Death Knight II. He’s going to become your boy’s worst nightmare. No, King, this is far, far from over between us.”

THINGS FALL APART FOR KING’S COURT In October of 2112, the USWF presented its first ever card at the Marishula Gridiron Field of Delphinus. The evening turned out to be one of the best ever for Exo-King and his family as Jack of Diamonds captured his first USWF Heavyweight Championship at the event. One year later, on October 21, 2113, the USWF returned to the Marishula Gridiron Field. This time things went very differently for Exo-King, and by the end of the night his entire team appeared to be in disarray.
The first problem for the King’s Court happened when they and their teammates in “Warriors United” lost their best-of-five War Games matchup to the second-place Phantastics. Warriors United has led throughout the War Games and at one point seemed to have an almost insurmountable lead, but with this victory Phantasy’s team pulled into a virtual tie for first place, with Warriors United holding a record of eight wins and five losses while the Phantastics have an equal number of wins but one more loss.
The War Games match for the evening was decided before the main event, as the Phantastics won three of the first four contests. However, the final battle of the card remained the most anticipated, as USWF Heavyweight Champion Jack of Diamonds put his title on the line one last time against the challenger he had narrowly defeated at the recent Centaurus Collision supercard, Mayhem. This time the two wrestlers both started well and traded heavy blows for nearly three minutes before Mayhem slid out of the ring. Jack went for a suicide dive that missed, and Mayhem followed up with a “Danger Zone” to claim the title.
Jack of Diamonds’ first reign as heavyweight champion thus ended after one year and one day in the same location at which he had won the belt. Jack managed an impressive twenty-two successful defenses while he held the championship, a tie for the highest total ever recorded in one reign. Mayhem, a six-time GWF Heavyweight Champion, claimed the USWF’s biggest prize for the first time.
However, the excitement for the evening and the problems for the King’s Court did not end with the final bell. As the King helped his defeated son to his feet, Raven, also a member of the Warriors United War Games team, marched down to the ring, a microphone in hand.
“King, I know this is not a really a great time,” Raven said. “I wanted to have this conversation privately, but you’ve been avoiding me and ignoring my calls. So if this is the way it has to be, that’s fine with me.”
The King scowled at his long-time friend. “I don’t have time for this right now,” he muttered.
“Well, make time!” Raven snapped. “I need to know. What was Death Knight talking about at the Centaurus Collision? Did you make some kind of deal with Darkos back in 2095 or not? Talk to me. We’ve been friends almost since I joined the the GWF. We’ve been through a lot together. Did you lie to me for all of these years?”
Suddenly the fans became restless, then reacted with shouts as the familiar figure of Death Knight moved through the crowd and stood at ringside. “Yes, tell him, King,” the intruder said. “Tell him the truth at last.”
“You betrayed me!” the King shouted at Death Knight. "You were a member of our group, with me and Killer Queen, and you walked away to join Darkos. No one dumps Exo-King. I had to set it right!”
Raven’s eyes grew large. “Then it’s true?” he asked. “All the time you were claiming to hate Darkos and the Assassins, you were working with them?”
The angry King shook his head. “Just on this one thing. Yes, it’s true. I paid Darkos to exile Death Knight, or Death Masque, when the Assassins lost Sudden Death. Darkos made sure the Assassins lost, and then he got rid of this idiot for me. He deserved it. He walked out on my team. I did what I had to do.”
“But, Dad,” Jack of Diamonds broke in, “you paid Darkos off? You arranged for a GWF team to throw Sudden Death? You made a deal with someone you told us all was one of your worst enemies? What were you thinking?”
Now the King pulled him up straight and proud. “I was thinking that I am Exo-King,” he answered loudly. “I showed Death Knight what the cost is for letting me down. I do not apologize to anyone. It was no one else’s business.” The King turned to Raven. “It didn’t affect you or our friendship. There was no reason to tell you.” Then he turned back to Death Knight. “And you! You were always useless. Darkos was happy to be rid of you. You learned what happens to someone who is disloyal to the King!”
Raven stepped back, a look of disgust on his face. “You’re wrong, King,” he said. “It was my business. For nearly twenty years we’ve been close friends. I trusted you. And you’ve been lying all this time. If you’re capable of making an alliance with someone like Darkos, I don’t know who you are, but you’re not the friend I thought I knew. I’ll finish these War Games with our team because I made a commitment to the other wrestlers, but after that I’m not sure what happens between us.”
Dropping his microphone, Raven shook his head and stepped out of the ring. As Exo-King watched him walk away, another figure slipped out of the crowd. The big masked man who had attacked Jack of Diamonds at the Centaurus Collision, the one Death Knight had called his protégé, once again jumped Jack from behind and began stomping him down. As the King turned to help his son, Death Knight climbed into the ring and knocked Exo-King down with a club.
Raven turned back toward the ring, watching his long-time friends Jack and the King being kicked and stomped by their enemies. Then, with a sad and angry expression, he turned away and continued his walk toward the locker room area.
Jack of Diamonds and Exo-King were finally rescued by the Protectorate and Zed Marlowe, but both were bloodied and nearly unconscious by the time help arrived. In one night, Exo-King’s team had lost its War Games lead, his son had lost the heavyweight belt, he had apparently lost his long-time ally Raven, and he and Jack had been left lying bloody and battered by his old enemy Death Knight and the unknown newcomer. Worse yet, Death Knight showed no sign of allowing the story to end there. More trouble may yet be ahead for the King and his court.
TERAK WALKS OUT ON SAVAGE KINGDOM An unexpected incident took place on the USWF card at the Eagle’s Flight Cathedral on October 14 as Terak abandoned his own tag team, the Hunters of Prey, in the ring.
The Hunters, Talon and Karah, lost a match to their primary rivals the Lower World. The contest was fairly even until the referee was knocked down. As Talon reached down to help the referee, Death’s Head attacked him from behind and rolled him up for a quick pin.
After the bell, Terak stared angrily at his team for a moment. Then, without speaking a word, he waved his hand dismissively and walked not only away from the ring but all the way out of the arena. He has not been seen in the USWF since.
“I don’t know what’s going on,” Gila, another member of the Savage Kingdom, commented a few days later. “I have not heard from Terak. I don’t even know where he is. Our team will keep going on our own, but I hope he gets in touch with us and tells us what he’s thinking soon.”
WAR GAMES TIGHTEN UP The 2113 War Games lead once enjoyed by the Warriors United team has all but disappeared as the Games head into their final weeks. Injuries to Zouave and Lycanthrope and a brief absence by Raven as he made a guest appearance in Deep Space Championship Wrestling have caused Exo-King’s team to drop several recent contests. Both the Phantastics and the Star Defenders are now within striking distance of first place.
Complete War Games records and rosters are as follows:
1. Warriors United (Jack of Diamonds, Raven, Lycanthrope, Crow, Zed Marlowe, Gordo, Theater of Pain, and the Protectorate) 8 wins 5 loss
