I've got to agree with LWPD...for me, I really try to focus on making each character as three dimensional as possible...so they become fully formed...making it that much more enjoyable to watch their career trajectory and the ups and downs along the way. The wrestlers in the Legends series already have established characters and histories to 'play' with...but COTG/GWF gives you an outline, and storylines to work with, but in the end, its up to you to work with what the dice give you.
And this isn't just for the 'upper card' wrestlers...I think its important to try and give every wrestler his own voice and time in the spotlight...the low end guys may lose 9 times out of 10...but when something clicks, I find some of the best feuds/storylines to happen to my fed (and in the end, the thing that keeps me coming back for more) are a result of experimenting and watching certain wrestlers working well with others...or being perfect adversaries.

I would love to hear everyone's pros and cons about COTG and Legends. I think it'd be interesting.

I started playing COTG and loved the game, I found that I did alot less reboots for my GWF, in truth I never rebooted. I then bought LOW and ignored my GWF fed which I put about 12 years of matches into, I since then got rid of my GWF stuff and stayed loyal only to LOW which I do reboot, not very often but I am starting to get a huge urge to get back into GWF, only I don't know where to get back into it. Between the two COTG and LOW, it is originality vs fantasy for me, see I find I am more of myself and my ideas in COTG where with LOW I can play my dream matches but it just seems limited whereas COTG has always been ever expanding. I love both games, but as of now as a fed I give it to GWF as a collector I go with legends.

I do one thing that everyone might not agree with. I Made some bootlegs of me and many family members, then I add them to my federation. By having me and some other family members in the fed really kept the fed fresh and interesting. I tend to get less bored that way and some great storylines were created from it.

I like this but if you don't play with anyone having a boot of yourself will lead to you possibly running into the same problems. I've had many problems with sticking with for awhile but now I'm really starting to stick with my aCe and it is because I'm now running angles and seeing how the dice roll and go along with or against those angles. So for me its creating your own story. Doesn't matter how good it is just make one up, you don't even have to run segments if you know where you are going with it.

Most people have said the New Beginings is the way to restart, so I think that is what I will do when I get back into COTG

Vince McMahon would agree with you...probably for the same reasons! One of the wackiest angles I've ever seen was the build up for the VKM/Steph 'Father Daughter I Quit Match'. Criticisms aside...he made a sweet profit and created a family memory that'll last a lifetime. In CotG your payoff is your own enjoyment. If booking your family makes you happy...more power to you! I'm not interested in Legends at all because you've already seen most of the characters wrestle before in real life and it's too easy to "typecast" them. COTG allows you to use your imagination more, in my opinion.
I plan on starting a WGX/bootleg fed someday in which I plan to use friends and family. I think it'll be very comical.
