~INTRO~ ----- NEMEAN def NEUROMANCER by Count Out***Neuromancer is outside of the ring. Nemean leaps over the top rope onto Neuromancer with a twisting cross body press. An astonishing move that Neuromancer does not recover from and is thus counted out. ----- As we wait for the Cosmic Cage to lower for the next match, the commissioner comes out for an announcement. Commissioner Andrew "Since last weeks main event ended in a DQ, there will in fact be a rematch. It will be the first championship match of the New Year and will take place next week at New Years in Paradise from the Paradise Palace. As for tonight, both Godsend and Avarice will have matches. Godsend will wrestle Nes Kincade in a non-title match while Avarice will wrestle Paganax."[glow=red,2,300]COSMIC CAGE[/glow]PRIMEVAL DESTRUCTION def ARCHANGELS** 1/2The match turned out to be one-sided as Primeval Destruction completely owned the Archangels. Using the cage as a weapon, Warfare and Hybrid destroy their foes. Hybrid hits the POISON DRIVER on Gabriel to end the mayhem. ----- [glow=red,2,300]HOLOVISION CHAMPIONSHIP[/glow]SYCOPHANT def (C) ASPIN NORTHSTAR*Sycophant was given the opportunity to try to regain the championship that he lost to Aspin Northstar back, and he did just that. A disappointing loss for Aspin as Sycophant quickly defeats the champion with the TOURNIQUET. NEW HOLOVISION CHAMPION - SYCOPHANT! ----- Scud approaches Amazing Mann backstage. Scud "Hey Mann, do you need me to watch your back out there tonight against Umagapotamus." -wink, wink- Amazing Mann "What are you doing Scud?"Scud "Oh I see. Too good for my help huh? Then next week I challenge you to a match." -wink, wink- Amazing Mann looks around cautiously to make sure nobody is around. Amazing Mann "Hey, I see what you're trying to do there Scud. But...you see...you're being too obvious. Look, I'll get a hold of you later and we'll go over this some more. OK?"Scud "Sorry buddy. OK, yeah...later"----- AVARICE def PAGANAX** 1/2Avarice is able to escape his match versus an angry Paganax with the victory after a 7TH SIN. ----- [glow=red,2,300]FINISHER MATCH[/glow]AMAZING MANN def UMAGAPOTAMUS** 3/4 The only way to win the match was for the wrestlers to use their finishing move to defeat their opponent. For Amazing Mann it was his UNBREAKABLE hold and for Umagapotamus it was the SAMOAN HIPPO SPIKE. Umagapotamus misses a turnbuckle charge and Amazing Mann locks in a tarantula. Godsend rolls out of the way of a MTFO! Later, Nes Kincade is back in control of the match when the Hellraisers run to the ring and get involved. The Dominion attack Nes Kincade causing the DQ. The Brothers Oaken run down to the ring and a brawl ensues. Godsend sneaks out of the ring, grabbing his aCe championship as he does. Referees are able to pull Nes Kincade out of the ring and walk him to the back. Meanwhile the Hellraisers and the Brothers Oaken continue the fight and a ref signals the bell for the fight to officially become the actual match that these two teams were scheduled for. [glow=red,2,300]FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE[/glow]BROTHERS OAKEN def HELLRAISERS **** 1/4The match is in the ring, out of the ring, and even in the crowd. Nightmare reverses an attempt by Donk Oaken to put him through an announce table, and instead back body drops Donk through an announce table. Nightmare also hits a MINDBENDER to Donk outside of the ring. Out in the crowd, Rorus reverse suplexes Darkseed through a chair vacated by a scared fan. Rorus makes a cover and gains the three count and the win for his team. ----- [glow=red,2,300]WESTLAND WEAPONS MATCH[/glow]HUSTLER def ESPERANTO*It was the preferred match of the fans here in the Westland Province. It was their hometown superstar Esperanto defending Westland pride. But it was Hustler victorious in a short match. Hustler props a chair up on the bottom turnbuckle. He then places Esperanto's head against and delivers not one, but two Curb to the Jaws. Hustler makes the cover and as the ref's hand comes down for the three the fans become unglued. They begin jumping over the railing. Hustler runs out with security meeting him halfway to escort him to safety. There is a complete riot here at the Western Pavilion as we go off the air. |

~INTRO~ ----- Commissioner comes out to the ring at the start of the show. Commissioner Andrew "First off, Happy New Years to all aCe fans! Now for tonight, to prevent any interference in the aCe Championship Main Event, the Tribes of Primus have been banned from the arena. In addition, Nes Kincade, the Brothers Oaken, and the Hellraisers are also all banned from ringside tonight. If any of these men interfere in the Main Event, they will be fired!"----- The Others are in the ring for the first match. WitchDoctor then steps through the stage entrance. WitchDoctor "Umagapotamus and myself will not be wrestling the Others tonight. No, because instead it will now be the Others versus the two newest members of the Syndicate......Rott....Ruined......Decaying Factor!"DECAYING FACTOR def THE OTHERS**Decaying Factor are completely dominant. The Others are extremely overpowered. Decaying Factor hit WAKE OF THE DEAD, double chokeslam, but Omni makes the pin save. Omni is led back to his corner while the Decaying Factor then land IT'S OVER (+4). ----- AMAZING MANN def SCUD****Scud played underdog and persevered through Amazing Mann's offense the entire match, constantly making comebacks and taking it to the former aCe champion. Scud leaps off the top rope with a flying cross body, but Amazing Mann manages to roll through upon impact and catches Scud for a three count. ----- ASPIN NORTHSTAR def NEUROMANCER** 3/4Aspin Northstar catches Neuromancer with a NORTHERN STAR SUPLEX for the victory. Afterward, the Archangels run down to the ring and attack Neuromancer. (Neuromancer injured 2 cards) Gabriel "With the unexpected addition of Decaying Factor to the Syndicate, Exodus and myself want to throw in our names to the ROC to help even up the odds!"Exodus and Gabriel shake hands with Aspin Northstar and the three men head back to the locker rooms. ----- [glow=red,3,300]TABLES MATCH[/glow]PRIMEVAL DESTRUCTION def BROTHERS OAKEN*** 3/4 Warfare and Rorus Oaken are both put through tables. Rorus is cut open on the forehead while Warfare suffers a big gash to his arm. Primeval Destruction are able to pick up the win after EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT. (Rorus injured 1 card) ----- SCORCH def HUSTLER by DQ***The match goes back and forth for awhile before Hustler is eventually DQ'd after using Pistol Whip. ----- Nes Kincade makes his way to the ring. Nes Kincade "What a [censored] place to spend the New Years! Sure, Paradise Island has great scenery and the finest beaches, but Paradisians are the dumbest people I've ever come across. Last night, I was eating in one the restaurants here and the cooks made everything I ordered wrong. The service was horrible and the manager was a fat [censored] that can't even manage his own weight. Then I went back to my hotel and was sitting poolside and ordered a couple of drinks. When they arrived the clumsy ass server spilled margarita all over me. And the women here.....the women here are the ugliest [censored] tramps I've ever seen and I wouldn't even touch them with Donk Oaken's [censored]!"Pendragon, the hometown hero, has heard enough and comes out to the ring. Pendragon "If you don't like it here Nes Kincade, why don't you just [censored] leave! Or better yet...stick around...because if you remember last time aCe was here you were in a Paradise Strap match with Aspin Northstar. After that match Avarice and you whipped on an outnumbered Aspin. I tried to run to ringside to strap your ass but you bailed out. Well tonight, there's no escape. Me and you are going at it in a Paradise Strap match and I'm going to strap your hide raw!"[glow=red,3,300]PARADISE STRAP MATCH[/glow]PENDRAGON def NES KINCADE***Pendragon wasted no time in defeating Nes Kincade. An OVERTHROW gains the win. After the match Pendragon begins whipping Nes Kincade with the strap. Kincade takes several huge blows from the strap before finally being able to slip out of the ring ----- [glow=red,3,300]aCe CHAMPIONSHIP[/glow]AVARICE def (C) GODSEND*** 3/4Avarice is relentless from the opening bell. The resilient Godsend kicks out of two 7TH SINS and several other big moves from Avarice. Avarice just wouldn't stop though and finally scored the three count after a running blockbuster. NEW aCe CHAMPION - AVARICE! Even after the match Avarice continues to punish Godsend. He throws a chair into the ring and then proceeds to deliver the 7TH SIN three separate times onto the chair. (Godsend injured 5 cards) Commissioner Andrew runs to the ring. Commissioner Andrew "Enough! Enough already! That's it.....I'm drawing the line! Your greed has just cost you tremendously Avarice. You could have accepted the win tonight, took the aCe Championship with you, and celebrated. Now you will be doing none of that! Due to this horrendous attack after the match....I hereby strip you of the aCe Championship! Now give me the belt and enjoy the next month off, because you are also suspended!"Avarice is livid inside the ring as the commissioner leaves with the aCe Championship. |

Man, poor Avarice can't catch a break...he finally wins the belt and then is stripped. Tournament looks good as I predict either Mann or Paganax taking the belt. Nice set of cards you posted, very good action.

I predict that it will end up Mann vs Pendragon with Mann on top but think Paganax will win it if he gets through Mann.

Totalis delivered a spinebuster outside of the ring that leaves Zeta Grey unable to answer the ref's ten count. HUSTLER def LANCE AT LAS** 1/2Hustler puts a SKULLCAP on Lance At Las' chances of winning the tournament. Hustler becomes the second wrestler to advance. ASPIN NORTHSTAR def ESPERANTO*** 1/4The fans are solidly behind Aspin Northstar with Esperanto even catching a little heat. Aspin Northstar is on his way to the next round after a FLASH OF BRILLIANCE (+5). PENDRAGON def NIGHTMARE*** 1/2Pendragon becomes the last wrestler in Bracket B to advance to the second round. A Pendragon Suplex pinning combination scores the victory against Nightmare. ----- DECAYING FACTOR def ARCHANGELS**** 1/4The Archangels are now officially ROC members. After witnessing the debut of Decaying Factor last week, the Archangels have volunteered to go after aCe's newest tag team. The Decaying Factor are immediately impressive though, defeating the Others last week and now the Archangels. ----- [glow=gray,4,300]FIRST ROUND MATCHES
Bracket A[/glow]AMAZING MANN def WITCHDOCTOR** 1/4One of the tournament's favorites, Amazing Mann wrestles his way past the weird yet cunning WitchDoctor. There was no escape after locking in the UNBREAKABLE (+4). DARKSEED def NEMEAN* 1/2Darkseed understands that with the recently inability of Godsend to compete, that this could be his chance at attaining the aCe Championship. He's one step closer after defeating Nemean with a Spiked Mace tonight. SCORCH def SCUD**** 1/4The best match of the tournament thus far. Fan support shown to both men led to an exciting and enjoyable match. Scud was on a roll with his high risk offense paying off. Going to the well one too many times resulted in a missed cross body from the top rope. Scorch is able to capitalize and captures the win after THE TRAILBLAZER. PAGANAX def NES KINCADE*** 3/4Nes Kincade was ballistic after learning his opponent would be Paganax, and rightfully so after the recent interactions between the two men. Nes Kincade knows Paganax is on the war path but he wasn't able to avoid it. The two wrestlers battle in the Main Event with the last second Round spot of the tournament on the line. Nes Kincade is lifted up then dropped into the PAGAN VOID by a driven Paganax. ----- This concludes the First Round of the 16-Man aCe Championship Tournament. 8 wrestlers make the best of this Oppurtunity and are now One Step Closer to becoming aCe Champion. Next....the Second Round. |
