This is an SYT-8 Newsbreak!
A report from the Centropolis patent office has indicated that someone has filed to copyright the name "Fighting School of Centra". The office is not yet allowed to divluge who did so until the name is used in public, but rumors abound... will ACE have competition? Is the family Rose ending their involvement with ACE and starting a rival company? For Advesary for Centra's Essence, Corporal Aegis (ret.) had this to say:
"Now that the dimension is at peace, the people of Centra have show how much they love Conflict Entertainment TV. It would be no surprise to me if someone else tried to capitalize on that"
Reporter: Do you feel that would hurt ACE, and you former allies?
Aegis: I don't think so, it's a big galaxy. I would wager it's not something so far removed from the Syndicate, though. Those guys play hardball... you don't compete with them unless you're ready for a war.
Reporter: Could ACE be getting a face lift then?
Aegis: Hmm.. could be. There are still some that flashback to the war whenever the ACE logo appears, but the money involved in re-branding would be staggering. No, I suspect it's likely old man Rose playing games, or perhaps even a pre-emptive strike by the Syndicate on a potential rival.
Reporter: well, we're sure to find out soon, the person filing that trademark had 15 days to use it for the filing to be valid. We'll have more on this story as it develops.

Conflict Entertainment TV Syndicate Studios 3/12/2123
Centrapolis Street Fight (broadcast live into the studio from an undisclosed location) Hustler*** put a real hurting on Sycophant***** , but he seemed to enjoy being opened up and pummeled. Hustler backed off a bit, trying to make sense of what he was facing, whe Sycophant went on the offensive. Hustler had taken back control when a man in a hood came out of the shadows and dropped the Savior of the Streets like a rock with some sort of object in his hand. Sycophant looked confused, but was quick to take advantage to get the victory. {Sycophant wins by TKO with Tourniquet}
Witchdoctor/Zombie Dreadnaught had an interesting match against the Shock Syndicate* . The zombie was not at ring side at the opening bell, and Witchdoctor was VERY nervous. He was mumbling and chanting as the fight continued, which allowed Flatliner to gain the upper hand. He delivered Shock and Awe, when suddenly there was a bright flash of light and Zombie Dreadnaught appeared at ring side. Witchdoctor used the moment's distraction to summon Death's Spectrum for the win. {Witchdoctor pins Flatliner with Death's Spectrum}
Totalis* gets a much needed victory over the struggling Nemean*** in a very entertaining match. {Totalis with Final Round }
There was definately some bad blood when Pendragon** entered the ring against Nes Kincade*** . Pendragon had him well scouted, and avoided the MTFO twice, but was unable to put his away. The Brothers Oaken came down to the ring during the match, and Donk tossed sand in the eye of Pendragon as Kincade used the New Schoolboy, but the referee was there to make the proper call. {Pendragon wins by DQ }
Primeval Destruction makes short work of The Brigade** .. Aspin never even got in the ring, as the Ravager Destiny team demolished Lance At-Las. Hybrid seemed to be thinking about really doing some damage after the bell, but changed his mind and put Lance down (somewhat) gently. {Hybrid with tap out from Brain Damager on Lance}
After pulling himself together, Lance surprised the crowd by calling for a mic.
Lance: My road has been a long one, and I can see the end of it. While I'm still strong enough to compete here, my heart just isn't in it any more. We've won the war.. what else is there? As a result, I've agreed to accepted the head trainer position for Fighting Stars of Centra. (loud boos) Now hold on a minute... FSC is a wholly owned Syndicate company, and will operate as a training ground and feeder program for ACE (good pop). In fact, that, uh, gentleman who appeared during Hustler's fight was our first signee. FSC will not have cards of it's own, but rather will open ACE house shows and, on ocassion, entertain you here before Conflict Entertainment TV goes on the air. At some point this summer the top man from the group, based on performance in these matches, will get an ACE contract. I expect some great action as the young bucks of Centra compete to earn a place at the greatest table in Conflict Entertainment.
As for me, I'll still be around if I'm needed, but don't expect me to wrestle too often... it time for the new generation (looks meaningfully at Aspin, who clearly didn't expect the announcement) to take over.
(Nemean comes out for his show and hugs Lance, then takes his place on the set)
Nemean: Time to be serious here, folks... that is one class act. (small pop) Lance, there's couldn't be a better man for that job, and we'll miss you. My guest today, Shepard, might have something to say as well.
Shepard: Good luck in your future endevour, Lance, and know that if danger calls, we'll be the first in line to get you back in the ring. As is now abundantly clear, the Six was a doomed team, too many of us with different goals in this new era. I wish Ventross success with his team, and know that Gabriel, Exodus and I will continue to make sure the evil of the Dominion is held in check here in ACE. We will defeat them at Battlezone. Nightmare, I have not yet determined how you're getting that power, but when I do, there will be a reckoning.
(Shepard leaves. After a moment, Nemean does as well, as the crowd was in a bit of a shocked silence.
Holovid Title Match Nightmare ** gets the energy flowing again in the arena with an epic battle against Peacemaker*** Both men have been on a roll of late, but it was Nightmare that was able to win the day in a 4 star match. {Nightmare wins with Mind Bender}
ACE Title match Fired up from his speech earlier, Shepard came out like gangbusters against the champ, but Avarice** is no so easy to defeat. After hitting Excorism, Godsend hobbled down to the ring. Shepard watched in disbelief as he locked on Speak of the Devil on the downed Avarice, as the referee called for the bell. Godsend released the hold as soon as the bell rang, and whispered something to Shepard. The Vagabond priest's eyes went wide and the two were at each other's throats. The champ was left to wonder what happened as security attempted to separated the two rivals. {Avarice wins by DQ}

Nice to see you start a developmental fed Wildfire. I kind of let NSAW fizzle out but hopefully under the GGWF flag it will return once I get my draft sorted out and re-introduce the POW.
Retiring Lance has worked out well for me and having him manage guys like Aspin and Scud is working out. I hope it works out just as well for you.
Looking forward to seeing some of your new guys and as always keep up the good work. I always enjoy reading this fed.

It's gonna be a real slow build on the d-fed... I want the guys to have a story if I can.. I have like 10-12 ready to go.. they'll probably be a match or two on every card going forward.
There's just so many interesting guys out there, and I needed something to do with Lance, so it just works.

Sorry about the long time between cards... haven't had time to post... got a few played though, so there should be some good action the here the next week or two House Show Ravager Mothership 3405.21 3/16/2123 FSC match Breaka Breaka* def. Hoodlum**** with a Power Bomb Hoodlum was totally outmatched by the powerful New School Trainee. Lance almost stepped in to stop the fight, but Hustler came out and told him not to. Sure enough, Hoodlum mounted a brief comeback, but it was too little too late. After the match, Hustler shouted insults at Hoodlum as he left the ring area Shock Syndicate **** def. The Regulators*** when Scorch fell to Shock and Awe. Both teams really needed a win, and it showed.. it was a real desperate battle. Rumor has it the Syndicate has already decided to re-tool the team, but the robots attempted to make their case here, with good teamwork and a nice win. Scud* def. Nemean* with Crash and Burn Scud used Nemean's showboating to good advantage in the fairly easy victory. Nemean was upset at the loss, and was muttering to himself has the crowd booed on his wat to the back Ventross def. Nes Kincade** by Count Out when he tossed him practically into the stands after Severed Ties. Ventross was in his element here, and completely demolished Kincade, as the crowd went crazy. After dispatching his opponent, he called the rest of Ravager Destiny to the ring and promised the crowd a Ravager victory at Battlezone, and that the Essence would soon be in the proper hands. The Others def. Darkseed/Nightmare** with Cronoclasm on Darkseed. The Dominion, as ever, was not really in sync.. Darkseed never tried to tag out, despite the brilliant teamwork by the re-united Others. Rorus Oaken def. Hybrid by DQ The New School continues to play with fire, as Rorus again went to tossing Salt in the eyes of Hybrid.. the monstrous one knocked the referee unconscious as he thrashed about, causing the DQ. Rorus high tailed it out the the ring before Hybrid recovered. Godsend def. Simbot** with Speak of the Devil Godsend returns to the ring, a little rusty, but still an impressive sight. Shepard * def. Amazing Mann by DQ when Nightmare attacked Shepard. This was a good match before the interference, could have gone either way. Mann was extremely frustrated and actually helped Shepard fight off the Dominion after the match.

FSC Profile #1: Hoodlum Originally created by: JamieOD Art and stats can be found: cotg.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=bootlegs&action=display&thread=7125Rumors abound in the dark corners of Centropolis.. who is Hoodlum? Some say he was a former Blue Steel Lieutenant, who fell out with Hustler when he enlisted in the Adversaries for Centra's Essence. Other say he's the leader of Red Dawn, Blue Steel's main rival in the back alleys and dark hallways of the inner city. Other rumors say he's a government agent in deep cover. One source (Unnamed) stated he's Hustler's older brother. One thing is certain, he's come to ACE to 'expose' Hustler as a fraud and take the 'Savior of the Streets' moniker as his own.

FSC Match The Thundering Herd(Crazy Horse/Sitting Bull) def. Death Dealers(Szorak/Osiris) with the Trample FSC's resident Ani-men team dominated this one, and got an impressive victory.
Godsend** def. Scorch* with Hell's Threshold Godsend got off to a slow start, but got stronger as the match went on. He refused to let Scorch up after he tapped as his eyes glowed red with his inner hatred. Shepard beat Esperanto out to the ring for the save, but the damage was done.
Scorch out 8 weeks [/i]
Nemean def. Aspin Northstar* with Season Finale (x2) Short but entertaining match that had the fans on their feet. After recovering a moment, Aspin tapped the celebrating Nemean on the shoulder and the two had a quiet conversation as the went to the back.
Mr. Bloat** def. Pendragon*** with Cruel and Unusual in a truly brutal match... even the guards from the prison were horrified at this one.
Nemean Show Guest: Scud
Nemean came out to his usual glitz and glamour, but quickly took a serious tone.
Nemean: You know, it wasn't so very long ago that some of us were fighting for the very soul of the universe. Demons, Undead, traitors, all manner of evil roamed the universe. Too often, the ACE reminds you of that time.. we need to move to the future. A bright future, full of hope, promise, and... great wrestling. Today, I stand in the ring with the future. Scud, Aspin and I have decided to join forces. We Young Lions with take on the Syndicate at Battlezo--
Nemean's mic cut out, then the lights went off. After a few moments, a voiceover was heard saying "the Nemean Show is hear by cancelled for the indefinite future. Nemean could be heard yelling at the voice as the sounds of struggle permeated the darkness. The lights came back up a minute later and all traces of the show, and Nemean himself, were gone.
Holovid Title Match Nightmare*** def. Gabriel***** with the Mindbender to retain the Holovid title. Great match! Both men pushed to the limit here, and, somewhat surprisingly, no outside interference took place... just a great wrestling match. Nightmare continues to impress, but now that Godsend is 100%, one has to wonder if they two will be able to co-exist.
Ventross makes quick work of Holocaust with Mercy Killing as the Corporation continues to search for an answer.
Darkseed def. Exodus* in a short match with Belly of the Beast.
ACE Tag Team Title Match The Others** def. Brothers Oaken**** when Omni hit Rorus with a Superkick to win the ACE Tag Team Titles! The Others are truly an incredible team when they're on the same page, and tonight showed them working at full capacity. Donk was on the apron most of the match, and while he was able to save Rorus on two occasions, the 3rd time was the charm for the Others. After the match, the were a bit of tension as each man was leery of the other grabbing the tag belts. After a bit of shoving and some disjointed (and perhaps mostly non-verbal) conversation, Omni and Odyssey picked up the belts at precisely the same time and held them up to the crowd

FSC Profile #2: The Thundering Herd (Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse) Originally created by: Kevin Butcher and Curt Ligot Art and Stats can be found: thekkp.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=misc&action=display&thread=7(That is Goodzila's most excellent Bootleg board... well worth checking out) After quickly dominated the tag team ranks of the AWA (Andromeda Wrestling Alliance), Thunder and Lightning (as they were then known) were stopped by GWF legend Omega, and offered the last spots in what was to be the last group of wrestlers trained on Cetus by the GWF's founder. Adopting new attire and ring names in honor of Omega's heritage on Cetus, the two seemed poised to be the next in a long line of great GWF ani-men teams. Unforutnately, Swarm had other plans, and he passed on the offer, instead opting to recruit Panther Warrior after his victory in the famed Leader of the Pack tournament. Dissappointed, the Thundering Herd was ready to return to the AWA when the end of the Battle for Centra opened the dimensional barriers, and an unidentified emmisary from ACE offered them a developmental contract. Eager for both new challenges and determined to prove Swarm made a mistake, the Thundering Herd is determined to make a mark on ACE that will reverberate back to the Dimension Y.

That's good, you'll like this announcement:
Former Adversary for Centra's Essence and current Head Trainer for FSC Lance At-Last has purchased a new arena/training facility on Tarkania. Dubbed the Meteor Center for his fallen protege, the Met will play host to regular FSC cards, as well as occasion ACE house shows.
