Introduction Hello everybody and welcome to the year 2088 in the GWF! Why did I decide to start posting in 2088 rather than 2087 you may ask? Well it's simple really I figured most golden age feds tend to start with the usual singles and tag tournaments to determine champs and to be honest I wanted to skip one year ahead to the introduction of a whole host of new wrestlers and feuds in INVASION!!!
The Format My brand of GWF is a strictly legit sport.......in terms of the matches and athleticism everything that happens in the ring is 100% real. However it is packaged with all the glitz, glamour, pomp, pagentary and hype of proffessional wrestling. Over the top storylines and grudges fought out for real in the squared circle. I hope people enjoy reading my results as much as I enjoyed playing them out! The 2088 fed features the Galaxian Heavyweight Title, The Inter-planetary Title and the Galaxian Tag Team Titles.
The Events There are 12 shows in a year one each month including 4 Pay-per-view shows (i.e. one every 3 months). My Pay Per Views are as follows. March - ONLY THE BEST - features an 8 man singles tournament. The tournament is normally a launching pad for the "next big thing" in the GWF. It's also a good place to introduce some of the new rookies! June - DEIMOS PERRENIAL - My version of summerslam. A return to the mecca Deimos Arena for the touring GWF superstars and many grudges are settled here. September - COSMIC CLASH - My one true "gimmick" pay perview. As well as featuring title matches this event also pits a team of the top ranked 5 heroes against the top 5 ranked villains in a tornado style falls count anywhere, elimination match with titan rules. It is a real honour for the two wrestlers who are named Captain of the Hero and Captain of the Villain teams. December - GALACTIC WARS - The Grandmother of them all! This is where ALL ongoing grudges are settled in the most decisive of ways.......the last card of the year and a fitting climax.
The GWF staff My GWF has Commisioner Filsinger calling the shots (an uncorrupt, sensible and serious man in charge - No Vince McMahon-esque shennaigans in this federation!!) My two announcers are Bobby Ball and Reggie Strawberry. A couple of alien anouncers who are unsubtle tribbutes to Bobby Heenan and Gorillan Monsoon.
2087 Re-cap! I have an entire year's worth of results for 2087 (I may decide to post them as a kind of prequel at some point). In the mean time I will give a recap of the state of play in my GWF at the end of 2087 in my next post.............stay tuned dudes.

Year in review 2087
Superstar Reviews
The top Villain and the top Hero of 2087 and their stories so far........
1st Thantos - Grade A+ Current Galaxian Heavyweight Champion
Achivements/Disasters: Won Galaxian Title at ONLY THE BEST TOURNAMENT. Destroyed Wolf in their feud winning all three of their hard fought matches. Defeated his former partner Star Warrior quickly and effectively in their feud early in the year. Star Warrior spent the rest of the year trying to fight his way back up into title contention but didn't quite manage it.
The Breaking of the Code an ONLY THE BEST tournament What can you say about Thantos' year in 2087, other than perfect! Breaking the Galaxian Code certainly paid dividends for the Evil Gamesmaster as he surrounded himself with a team of dangerous allies and remained Galaxian Champion and entirely unbeaten all year! Thantos won the Galaxian championship in the Only the Best Galaxian tournament in January, beating the wildman Wolf in the final. Thantos had acted unscrupulously for the entire tournament - illegally injuring one of his top contenders The ultra-talented Titan Lord Nexus so that he could not progress after his victory over Comrade Terror in round one.
Title Defences Thantos then won a short feud against Lord Nexus, after injuring Nexus at Only the Best (Nexus had to forfeit his next match). Thantos was able to out-wrestle the technically skilled titan for a reasonably easy victory. His first title defense was against his former tag-partner and leader of the Hero team Star Warrior in a Castor Chain match at the Deimos Perenial. Unfortunately for Warrior this was one of his most impressive performances against his former partner. It appeared as if the youthful Star Warrior was not quite yet ready for the big stage. Thantos outclassed Star Warrior from the outset and locked in the frankly awesome Masterlock for a quick and dominating win.
The second half of the year saw Thantos constantly pursued by Wolf - he was a marked man. Wolf and Thantos met again at Cosmic Clash in a Cosmic Cage with the Galaxian Title on the line. A good match saw Thantos win after almost crippling Wolf with the Masterlock. Unfortunately for Thantos Wolf bounced back from this loss and earned another shot against him at Galactic Wars. This match was absolutely amazing. Highlights included Thantos hitting a flying splash on Wolf through a table, Comrade Terror and Star Warrior getting involved in the match, and eventually Wolf succumbing to the Masterlock leg-lock.
Thantos won both of his main feuds and achieved all of his evil goals this year, defeating his former partner Star Warrior soundly and consistently able to overcome the relentless attacks of the only man to betray the Evil team: Wolf. Thantos was undoubtedly the wrestler of the year and at times appeared to be unbeatable!
2nd Lord Nexus – Grade A
Achievements/Disasters: Was narrowly beaten in main Titan vs C-30 patriotic feud against The Invinsible Krakan Defeated Mutant in feud to avenge fellow Titans Pit Viper and Pulsar
Lord Nexus looked awesome in the first round of ONLY THE BEST tournament – defeating Thantos’ prize soldier, the alien military menace – Comrade Terror. Unfortunately for Nexus he was unable to continue in the tournament after Thantos came out and beat him into injury following the match. Nexus had his chance for revenge at a GWF Monday Mayhem taping in February, but failed to capitalize when he tapped to the Masterlock. Critics hailed this as a great performance by the leader of the Titans, and many pundits tipped him as the top contender for the GWF title in 2087. Unfortunately for Nexus though he got embroiled in his ongoing feud with arch-nemesis the Invinsible Krakan.
Battles with the Society of Death The two men fought an amazing blood drenched cosmic cage match at the Deimos Perennial, the match was eventually won by Krakan, but once again was praised by wrestling pundits for his talented and gutsy performance. His spirit shone through even further when won against Vanity the very next week and was declared Leader of the Hero team for the Wrestle-Wars match at Cosmic Clash. Nexus lead his team to an absolutely resounding victory over the Villain Leader lead by the cosmic Terrorist – Krakan. This win propelled him back onto the Galaxian title scene.
Nexus mounted a campaign to face Thantos in the main event at Galactic Wars, however he lost a number one contenders match to the enigmatic Wolf. He shifted his focus back to the Society of Death and more specifically the bitter and twisted Mutant who had brutally injured the young Titan Pulsar recently in their feud. There was no doubt about it Lord Nexus was out for revenge at Galactic Wars. Nexus ended the year with an excellent victory – pinning Mutant after four Titan Drops!!
Nexus ends the year as the top hero in the GWF, what an accomplishment. However a major singles win against the Invinsible Krakan still eludes the Titan’s leader and he will attempt to level the scores in 2088. Constantly juggling his chase for the Galaxian Title and his feud with the Society of Death will Nexus find the balance in 2088?
What awaits the GWF in 2088..........stay tuned for the first TV taping of Monday Mayhem.

Thanks ceo - I enjoyed reading your fed too - I like your alternative take on Big Superstar, making him a viable headliner. Your CAW's seem to add a lot to your fed too. Ive never made a CAW yet, it seems like a good way of personalising a fed though.

Monday Mayhem – January 2088 Deimos Arena First card following the dramatic events of Galactic Wars 2087
Ghengis Khan (with Krakan at ringside) vs Massif 8:34minute mark
Massif started off strong and maintained control. He almost put Khan away with a powerful overhead toss at the start of the match, but Khan kicked out at two. Then Khan charged at Massif, but Massif dodged as Khan slammed into the turnbuckle. Massif rolled him up but was attacked by Krakan. Who could have guessed Krakan would interfere!? Khan is disqualified. Match Rating – 2 Stars. A below average match, Khan was simply overpowered my the Behemoth youngster from Cetus.
Strawberry – “Hello Everybody and welcome to the first GWF event of the year….welcome to the year 2088!” Bobby Ball – “Yep and Massif has the honor of winning the very first match of 2088, hope you folks at home enjoyed it! Although that should never have been a disqualification. Referees today don’t understand the importance of letting a match run it’s course!” Strawberry “Run it’s course Bobby!? Krakan just about knocked Massif unconscious with an elbow from the top it was two on one!!.......Anyway….enough bickering, I’m extremely excited because tonight we have as our main event a rematch from Galactic Wars. A non title match between Invinsible Krakan, the reigning Interplanetary Champion, and Pit Viper the former Interplanetary Champion…..It’ll be chaos!” Bobby Ball “You know Pit-Viper’s gotta be just about the stupidest guy on the roster. It’s not enough that he lost his face through messing with the Society of Death….then he lost his title…..and the moron still wants to face Krakan again! What an IDIOT!” Strawberry – “Pit-Viper is an extremely competitive man Bobby, and I will agree he has been somewhat more aggressive since the assault by the S.O.D. but the fans seem to enjoy his new attitude and style!” Bobby Ball “I heard he wasn’t much of a looker anyway……no loss!” Strawberry “If he heard you say that……well, I wouldn’t protect you anyway! Back to the action!”
Tag Match - Non-title Lord Nexus and Pulsar vs Exo King (One half of the Tag Champions) and Killer Queen 4:25 mins The flamoyant cyber punk Killer Queen replaces Exo King's usual partner Death Knight, who was injured in their title winning the coveted titles against the Greek Gods at Galactic Wars last week.
Exo King looked somewhat unamused by Killer Queen's strutting and posturing during the match and the two didn't gel at all. Nexus takes advantage of the poor chemistry and gets the cover over Exo King with a dropkick from the top turnbuckle! Match Rating – 1 Star. A poor display by the Evil Ones, lets hope Exo king can put aside his pomposity when Death Knight returns or this may be a short Tag Title reign for the robotically enginered Evil Ones.
Backstage Wolf is standing with Violet Lane (stereotypical gorgeous but otherwise uncharismatic backstage interviewer).
Wolf - “Owwoooooo 2088 is MY year the year of the Wolf! It starts right here when I tear my way through that prancing nancy-boy Vanity. I’ll then rip apart anyone else you throw in my path Thantos. You have beaten me bloody, broken my bones and thrown hundreds of worthless minions in my path, but you know something? I won’t stop….I won’t ever stop. That Galaxian Title will look good around my waist. Owoooooo……..Huh….Snifffff! Hmmm Violet you smell good!!” Violet “Erm……um…..ooookay, good luck in your match Wolf, I gotta go.”
Vanity vs Wolf 2:14 mins
Wolf rips into Vanity as he said he would and tosses him around the ring as Vanity screams out for help. Clearly Thantos couldn't care less about Vanity as none of the Evil Villains are sent to his aid! Shortly into the match Vanity is tossed from the ring and simply runs to the back for a count out win for Wolf. Match rating – 2 Stars Not exactly a wrestling match more of a mugging. The fans seemed to enjoy it though.
In Ring Interview As Vanity screams his way out of the arena. A disgruntled looking Killer Queen ignores his tag-partners cries for help, by pushing him away and walking to ringside.
Queen announces that 2088 will be different for him. He claims that Vanity was holding him back in their team and now that he is firmly back with the Kings Court he will start to make things happen. He then discusses how he will help destroy the FDF after being sidetracked as one half of Flamboyance. He starts to gloat about the Evil Ones victory over the FDF in 2087. Massif fresh from his earlier victory and with the adrenaline still pumping through his veins makes his way to the ring to defend the honor of the FDF.
However it was a setup!! Exo King jumps out of the crowd and attacks Massif, he then leaves him cold after hitting him with a baseball bat! Vicious and uncalled for!!
Star Warrior and Commander Sam vs Comrade Terror and Executioner 9:20mins
The FDF win when Star Warrrior pins Comrade Terror following the Nova Launch. However the fight does not stop there.....Commander Sam hellbent on revenge charges into the ring and blasts Executioner over the top rope. Then Star Warrior holds Comrade Terror down as Commander Sam hits three big knee drops from the top, injuring his Cygnusian Rival! 2088 has witnessed a change for the FDF as they become much more warlike in their manner. Match Rating – 3 Stars The best match so far tonight.
Main Event Pit Viper vs The Invinsible Krakan (Interplanetary Champion) – non tile match. 3:09mins
Krakan attacks before the bell and then controls the match. Nexus tries to help Pit Viper by running to ringside but is punched from the apron by an observant Krakan.....you can't pull a dirty trick on the dirtiest trickster in the Galaxy! Krakan then hits the falling Face Slam for the victory. Match Rating – 1 Star. This edition of Monday Mayhem has seen some rather poor in-ring action, and this match was no exception.....sorry pure wrestling historians - but remember this is the GWF circa 88' not ROH circa 2009!!
After the match all hell breaks loose, firstly Nexus and Krakan fight their way backstage….then the Society of Death’s heinous plan comes to fruition. A maniacal unknown masked man who looks like he is straight out of an asylum storms the ring and starts working over Viper. He hits him with a series of axehandles leaving Viper a bloody mess to be stretchered out.
Strawberry – “Who the hell was that......what a despicable act......Where does Krakan find these guys!? What an insane night!! Someone has to take control of the GWF it has turned into a battleground!! If this doesn’t stop someone will get killed! Good-night everybody”

Monday Mayhem February 2088 Madison Square Garden - Earth
A very very special card tonight.........
Reginald Strawberry (head announcer, linked up with all manner of microphones, headsets and holo-screens is more than ready to track every ounce of GWF action tonight) – Strawberry “Hello once again everybody and a very warm welcome from me and my colour commentary colleague Bobby Ball” Bobby Ball – (having just taken a huge bite of a disgusting looking alien hamburger mumbles something incomprehensible….) Strawberry “We are only one card away from the ONLY THE BEST TOURNAMENT to be held at the recently refurbished Titan arena, as we know the Titan arena was destroyed by the terrorists of CTA 10. Wow looks like the evening is starting off already, here comes commissioner Filsinger down to ringside to make an announcement….”
Commissioner Filsinger walks to the ring with a purpose “As you all know the second annual ONLY THE BEST TOURNAMENT is scheduled to happen at the Titan arena on 13th March 2088. I hope to see as many of you there as possible, or at the very least watching on your Holo-screen’s at home. Eight GWF superstars will take part in a round robin singles competition for the coveted Cetus Trophy. As you all know a win at the ONLY THE BEST TOURNAMENT can be a launching pad for an illustrious career. We only have to look at the success of last year’s winner…..Thantos (Current and Reigning Galaxian Champion). Now without further ado let me introduce the 8 competitors in this year’s tournament.” A small effeminate golden android shuffles into the ring and hands a rather ornate looking parchment scroll to Filsinger” “Ahem…..From the FDF the young powerhouse……MASSIF (huge cheer!) To add his own brand of flair to proceedings…..VANITY (audible groan from audience!). The martial arts expert……GHENGIS KHAN! Perhaps the greatest wrestler of ALL time…….OMEGA (loud cheer and Cosmic War-cries are heard throughout the stadium. The cyber-punk…….KILLER QUEEN! The gutsy young hero………..PULSAR! Finally and all you earthlings will be happy with this one…….COMMANDER SAM (The roof just about blows off the Madison Square Garden!)!”
Filsinger “Now for the astute viewers amongst you, you may have noticed there are only seven competitors so far…..that means that one spot is still available…….Who will be brave enough to take up the final spot? Enjoy your evening everybody and I’ll see YOU at ONLY THE BEST!”
Renegade (With Beast Master) vs Ghengis Khan Ghengis Khan takes control of the match from the early stages with his power advantage and brutal martial arts style. Beast-Rider is flung all over the match with chops and kicks burning into his flesh. Showing some heart and being spurned on by his hot-headed companion Renegade at ringside he swings the course of the match his way and executes the BEAST RIDE! But Khan kicks out on two and a half! Beast Rider fails to keep the advantage as Ghengis avoids a clothesline and hits with the TWIN THRUST right to the throat. It looks like it is all over but (once again) Renegade snaps and storms in laying the boots to Ghengis. Beast Rider is DQed at the 10:43min mark, as Ghengis rolls out of the ring and escapes victorious. The Croppers don’t seem to care much though as they celebrate with their fans at ringside. Match Rating -3 Star
A video segment is shown -The setting is a desolate looking moorland (it could be earth, it could be any planet with a humid climate and sparse vegetation……perhaps it’s Andromeda…….) The camera angle in first person flies over hills and cliffs, past grey lakes and low lying cloud. Until it plunges into a deep murky looking cave on a hillside….A familiar figure sits in the unwelcoming residence. It’s WOLF!! “Ha ha ha ha…….well, well GWF fans I have a little story for you. Once upon a time a naughty little man betrayed his friend, backstabbed his mentor, broke some ponsey CODE and then built up an empire out of his betrayal. That man was THANTOS. He is an undeserving chmaion who surrounds himeslf with thugs and cronies......well I’m the big bad Wolf who’s gonna huff……and puff and blow that EVIL GAMESMASTER AWAY! …..Oh and one final thing Thantos, I was informed this morning that I am the NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR YOUR GALAXIAN TITLE. OWWOOOOOO!”
Massif and Omega vs Exo King and Killer Queen Getting back to ringside as Massif and Omega square off against Exo-King and Killer Queen. A highlight reel shows Exo-Kings cowardly attack on Massif last week when he knocked him out cold with a baseball bat. The fact Massif is even able to make it here tonight is testatomont to his toughness. Omega and Deathknight exhaust each other and battle to a stale-mate before tagging out. In the end Massif has his vengeance for last week’s unprovoked attack when he hits Exo King with a VOLCANIC DROP and gets the 3 count.
Wolf vs Brute (with Massacre) Match Rating – 4 Stars Just a few weeks from his big Galaxian title match…..Wolf is set to face his old allies turn rivals, the head-banging Gladiators! This one was a great match folks, Wolf was in control for most of the time and had to chip away at the mighty Gladiator Brute for over 15 minutes.
Sometimes it looked as if even Wolf’s best moves were having no effect! But Wolf with his relentless nature was not deterred and wore Brute down gradually with a series of sleeper holds and skull-crushers. Wolf put him away with a neck-breaker to finish the match.
Wolf was celebrating in the ring with a disgruntled looking Brute and Massacre licking their wounds on the outside…….when an unfamiliar entrance theme tune erupted. It was music similar to that of the Gladiators but if possible it was actually heavier and had more bass guitar!
It seemed as if the whole arena shook and the crowd looked bemused as seemingly a third (unfamiliar) Gladiator adorned with spiky armor and an impressive physique exploded down the aisle towards the ring!! On reaching the ring he immediately attacked Wolf, who seemed to have no answer to this onslaught. The Wildman Wolf was beaten senseless and finished off with 3 atomic elbows to the the top of the head from the turnbuckle. Wolf was left lying in the ring…..Some of the crowd seemed to recognize this new Gladiator and a smattering of applause and chants from children wearing "Gladiators" trademark paint and T-shirts began to chant “SPIKE! SPIKE! SPIKE!”
Wolf did not hear the chants though as he was taken to the back and diagnosed with a fractured skull. The doctors reports say he will NOT be able to make his title match at ONLY THE BEST.
Commander Sam and Pulsar vs Thantos and Executioner Back to ringside and Thantos looked positively delighted as he limbered up for his next match, stretching a muscular leg against the steel steps as the FDF team were announced to the ring.
As the match began the audience were clearly still stunned by what they had just seen. Commander Sam was on fire in this match, almost getting the first ever cover on Thantos early in the match! Thantos survived the onslaught and tagged out to Executioner. Executioner did not fair so well though, after surviving a WHIRLWIND from Pulsar he was finished off by a peace-maker slingshot by the hometown favourite Commander Sam. An important win for Sam and Pulsar, but tainted by the brutality shown by the Gladiators in the previous segment. Match rating 3 stars - 10:30 mins
Commissioner Filsinger comes to the ring surrounded by GWF officials and body guards “WAIT, WAIT, HOLD UP!! I have been watching everything backstage and I am absolutely dumbfounded at what I am seeing. The GWF is being invaded by a bunch of thugs! Gladiators! I don’t know what you are trying to pull here and I don’t know if Thantos put you up to this…….. but I just got the medical reports back and unfortunately Wolf will be unable to compete at ONLY THE BEST! We need another Galaxian contender. You Aethran lunatics have ruined my main event at the pay-per-view……. But you know what, the show must go on. Here is what I propose. I’ve spoken to the bigwigs on the network and tonight will be a very very special edition of Monday Mayhem. We are going to have a second main event to crown a new number one contender! Also we are are gonna run for as long as it takes......screw the commercials!!!”
“Now we have two very worthy contenders to announce in this bonus match. It will be STAR WARRIOR vs LORD NEXUS, it’s about time some guys restored some integrity into this federation and who is better for the job? Well Warrior and Nexus I guess it’s your lucky day, because the winner of the match faces Thantos for the GALAXIAN championship!! But that’s not all, the loser in this match tonight will not go home empty handed. You will get a shot at that rebellious ungrateful scumbag Invinsible Krakan for his treasured INTERPLANETARY title!! Its gonna be a hell of a BONUS main event folks and it’s next!!”
Star Warrior vs Lord Nexus The two heroes make their way down the aisle to almost an equal reaction from the crowd. Warrior always blows the roof off anywhere around the Cetus Cosmos and Nexus reliably sells better than anyone in the Titan area, but here on earth it is level pegging.
The match begins and sees a lot of respectful headlocks and arm-bars soon desend into a very competitive match. Warrior appeared to be getting the upper-hand when Nexus suddenly nearly put Warrior away with Sunset flip pin out of nowhere. Next he wore Warrior down with his agile style, again almost finishing him with a reverse knife edge, but Warrior kicked out. Warrior battled back but was unable to set up for the NOVA LAUNCH and didn’t take his opportunities when he had them. In the end Nexus saw an opportunity for a TITAN DROP and hit it perfectly getting the roll up and the win. Match Rating – 3 Stars 16:32mins
Strawberry “The much hyped Star Warrior still has a hell of a lot to prove in the GWF, and unfortunately he didn’t do that tonight. He still has a chance to win Gold though as he takes on the Invinsible Krakan for the Interplanetary title at the Pay-per-view! Congratulations to Lord Nexus who is given the contract to realize all of his dreams as he faces Thantos for the GALAXIAN title at ONLY THE BEST!!!”
Bobby Ball "What a night! How the hell will we top THAT at the pay-per-view......goodnight earthlings!"

Ive never made a CAW yet, it seems like a good way of personalising a fed though. Thanks, I appreciate your support Vanity. - WOW what a card taht last one was. Loved Spikes attack out of no-where, and the main event - fantastic! Im psyched to see Lord Nexus Compete for the strap against Thantos. He was taken out by Thantos at the last OTB and now, exactly one year later, Nexus has the chance for the ultimate revenge - taking Thantos' coveted title. Keep up the great work!!!!

I also enjoy how Star Warrior seems to be struggling. Reminds me of how he was in my fed back when I first started it. He did upset Thantos in the finals to be the first ever GWF Champion for me, but lost the rematch and never won the title back. He left the GWF for the competition (my friends and brothers feds) then returned and finally won the gold again - about 9 game years later!!
