Live from Deimos Intergalactic Arena – Deimos, Mars
July 2087 / Card #13
OPENING:
Flashback to scenes of Omega being systematically dismantled by Comrade Terror and the Gladiators as Thantos stands by and watches, a big smile on his face. During the images of brutality, a doctor speaks: "Omega has suffered a concussion of a dramatic nature. As his physician, I have to recommend that he does not step into the ring again, as to do so would be to risk further injury with even more dire consequences. He's had an incredible career, but it's time to step down."
RINGSIDE:
WD: "You heard it, and we're so sorry to report it. Welcome to Galactic Superstars. I'm WrestleBot D and this is K.O. Keller. A dark day to be sure for the Federation Defense Fighters."
KK: "Well the patriarch of the GWF has wrestled his last match it seems. Eleven glorious years in the GWF with five Galactic Heavyweight title reigns in his resume. If Omega doesn't deserve an A+, no one does."
WD: "We're going to hear from the Federation Defense Fighters tonight. We're going to prepare ourselves for a big main event. Commander Sam has returned from the injured list and will face Comrade Terror here tonight."
MATCH #1:
Beast-Rider vs. Killer Queen. Beast-Rider was very eager to get his hands on the man who he blamed for transforming his former student and being instrumental in turning him away from the Savage Kingdom. Of course Killer Queen thought that Beast-Rider was a filthy being and wanted nothing to do with him, really getting the crowd upset when he took the longest time to even lock up with Beast-Rider. Finally Killer Queen surprised Beast-Rider by attacking him from behind, and the Space-Cropper never quite got his footing after that. Killer Queen kept him on defense and locked him in the CHECKMATE, forcing Beast-Rider to tap out at 5:12.
MATCH #2:
Proteus vs. Exo-King. WrestleBot D explained that Actagon was not present tonight, and Proteus was engaging the sinister Exo-King in one on one action. Two men considered to be the most powerful in the GWF locking up in what was anticipated as an interesting matchup. They had never faced one on one before, but their previous battles in tag team action had resulted in anything but fond feelings. It was a back and forth match with both men demonstrating their ring prowess. Exo-King was quite impressive, as it was his first match in singles competition. Though Proteus came close to pulling out the win a few times, it was Exo-King who really delivered in this match and finished off the Greek God with a flying cross body off the top rope into a pin at 14:27.
POST-MATCH:
Killer Queen, who stayed at ringside after his match, entered the ring to celebrate with the Exo-King. But with the absence of Actagon, King and Queen were a little braver than usual and decided to put Proteus on the shelf! As Killer Queen shoved the referee out of the way, Exo-King hooked Proteus in the DEATH VISE! The crowd roared its disapproval as one half of the tag champions was helpless against the two Evil Ones. Then finally from the back came unlikely support… WOLF! The crowd exploded as Wolf attacked both men, driving them from the ring! Why was Wolf helping Proteus? It seemed the Aethran was out of control!
IN THE RING:
The fans began to cheer as Star Warrior, Commander Sam, and Massif stepped out of the locker room with none too happy looks on their faces. Star Warrior had a neck brace on and was clearly not ready to wrestle. Massif was also wearing street clothes, as he clearly was not planning to be in action on this night. They stepped into the ring together and Star Warrior took an AUT.
Star Warrior: “Once again my father, the man who founded this company is out on an injured list. They say that he’ll never recover enough to step foot in the ring again. So despite what you may have heard, this is a very sad day for the GWF. It’s sad for me especially, because I had to stand and watch it happen… I had to stand and watch as they took my father apart. And what boggles my mind even now is that the GWF security watched it too, and they held Sam and I back so that we couldn’t do anything about it. <pause> So I guess, so much for the Federation Defense Fighters… if the Federation they’re defending won’t let them defend it!”
Commander Sam: “While I can agree with my young friend on most points, fully recognizing his impetuousness as it was once an overwhelming trait of mine… I have to make an allowance for security. They have a job to do, which they do very well. They do their job – I do mine, and I don’t hold them accountable. Unfortunately I can’t allow the same excuse for those in the locker room who claim to be with us and don’t show up when they’re needed. For that I hold some accountable… the Greek Gods, the Space-Croppers, the Titans… but none so much as YOU, Massif!”
Commander Sam pointed his finger at Massif, and the giant looked a little surprised as if he weren’t expecting this interview to turn on him!
Star Warrior: “Massif, this feud with the Executioner has gone on and on and on. He got the best of you at Cosmic Clash, and it’s time we just face up to the fact that maybe you’re not in his league right now. But friend, I brought you into this federation. I made you a part of the Federation Defense Fighters – a fighting unit, committed to the protection of one and other and the defense of the promotion. And in that you failed us. You were too busy licking your wounds. Too busy feeling sorry for yourself. Effective immediately, you’re no longer part of our team!”
This drew a huge mixed reaction from the fans as Massif looked absolutely stunned. Star Warrior and Commander Sam just turned their backs on him as he left the ring, dejected.
Star Warrior: “From now on, the Federation Defense Fighters are only those that we can trust – only those who we can depend on to be there when the federation needs them to be. So it starts with me and Sam. Yes, we may be outnumbered… but I would rather have one man watching my back who I could count on, than twenty men who won’t lift a finger when the Gladiators are about to take my head off!”
With that, Star Warrior pointed right at Massif.
RINGSIDE:
KK: “Wow.”
WD: “Well, I never saw that coming I must confess. As Star Warrior and Commander Sam, the Federation Defense Fighters, make their way out of here. I guess we know for sure where they stand now.”
KK: “Yeah they drew the line pretty well. I can’t blame them for feeling the way they do. Omega is a man who I honestly believe either one of them would lay their life down for. Young Massif just dropped the ball and that’s all there is to it.”
WD: “Time to get back to the ring with tag team action!”
MATCH #3:
Lord Nexus & Pulsar vs. Genghis Khan & Mutant. A match that everyone was waiting to see as the men which never took place because neither team came to the ring! It was bizarre when the ring announcer called them out twice but no one came, and finally the bell was rang and the match was called a no-contest.
BACKSTAGE:
Cameras move backstage where Torin Caelum was standing over the fallen forms of Lord Nexus and Pulsar! Mutant and Genghis Khan were stomping away at them as Caelum tried to push them aside to establish some order . Torin Caelum forgot that he was an announcer for a moment and paid for it as someone struck him from behind and knocked him into the camera! When the cameraman finally lifted the camera, he positioned it to see who the man was that attacked Caelum. And as the camera panned over his form… it became apparent that this man was none other than the INVINCIBLE KRAKAN!!! <signal lost>
RINGSIDE:
KK: “Is that who I thought it was?”
WD: “I do believe that Krakan has arrived!”
KK: “I know Nexus alluded to him a few times, but I guess I hoped it wouldn’t happen! Thantos and now Krakan??”
WD: “Fans, the Titans are down and now their rivals are three with the addition of Krakan. And Torin Caelum was taken down… we’ll keep you updated on his condition.”
KK: “Torin Caelum is a trooper – he’ll be fine, I have no doubt of that. But I worry about Krakan when Torin Caelum gets up!”
MATCH #4:
Wolf vs. Executioner. The match was begun with a pre-recorded interview where Thantos expressed disappointment in Wolf for rebelling against his orders, and thus he would have to face his Executioner who was the #1 ranked wrestler in the GWF. Known as a torturer, it was guessed that the Executioner’s orders were to do a number on Wolf that would be long, slow, and painful. But Wolf didn’t seem too intimidated by the former Marcel De Sade who had risen from mediocrity to become the #1 ranked contender in the GWF over the last six months. Executioner went on offense immediately, but the irrascible Aethran surprised him and fended off the torturer’s attempt to subdue him. The match was clearly not going the way that either Thantos or the Executioner thought it would, and after six minutes it was Wolf who had Executioner gripped in the SAVAGE FACE CLAW! Executioner fought against it, but finally passed out at 6:36!
MATCH #5:
Commander Sam vs. Comrade Terror. The crowd was chanting “Sam! Sam! Sam!” And although the Earth Icon came out alone, one could be sure that Star Warrior was not far away if needed. It was the second time that Sam and the Comrade had met, with the first ending in Sam’s victory and then his injury when Terror decided to assault him after the match. This was a revenge match, not only for Sam to gain satisfaction against Terror… but to get a little retribution for his assault on Omega. Comrade Terror attacked Sam before the bell, but it was almost as if the hero could not be hurt, as it only took him a few minutes before he seemed impervious to pain! The alien mercenary was beside himself as Sam fought back with knife edges and boxing jobs, putting Terror on his back with a Sam’s Slam! Then Terror missed with a wild swing and Sam executed him with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP and got the pin at 3:45!
POST-MATCH:
Sam no sooner got his hand raised than Executioner, the Gladiators, Exo-King, Killer Qeen, Death Knight, and Vanity all ran into the ring with Thantos in tow! Sam fought them off but was quickly overwhelmed until Star Warrior hit the ring and started to hold his own! But the sheer numbers seemed too much, and the Federation Defense Fighters seemed helplessly outnumbered… until from the back came the Greek Gods, Beast-Rider, Renegade, Lord Nexus, Pulsar, and even Torin Caelum! Together tought fought off Thantos and his men as the remainder stood in the ring, united!
END.
