POC 4: BRUTALITY PLEAIDES CLUSTER CENTER Silent Violence vs. Sky Fire-Pendekar defeats Quetzal by KO in 9:13 with an o soto makikomi -Pendekar defeats Talon by KO in 1:43 with an inside thigh kick Nano vs. Latasha w/ Franco-Latasha defeats Nano by SUBMISSION in 0:57 with a rear naked choke. Latasha could be seen asking “Why did it have to pick me?” as the bout was about to begin. Nano did not submit in this bout, but the referee called for the bell when Latasha locked on the rear naked choke and Nano was unable to escape from it. After the bout, Latasha ran around the cage, acting as if she had just won the biggest match of her career, while Nano looked disappointed that playtime was over. Matinee Idol took a microphone and demanded that the Mad Jester apologize for his actions. The Jester appeared, accompanied by a cavalcade of circus music, and entered the cage with Idol.Idol: Jester, you took it way too far last card. Latasha, Franco, and I are serious actors now. We have big time contracts and deals that we need to concentrate on, and your childish pranks are too distracting. Enough is enough! You need to apologize right now for what you did to us at the last fight card! The Jester takes on a look of extreme guilt, and begins to pout. He looks at the ground, and then up at Matinee Idol.Jester: OK. I’m sorry for what I did last week. No hard feelings, okeydokey? Put ‘er there. The Mad Jester extends his hand and Matinee Idol begins to reach for it, but then stops and checks The Jester’s palms for a joy buzzer. When Idol finds nothing of the sort, he shakes the Jester’s hand.Idol: Well, I’m glad you finally learned your-OW! While Matinee Idol had his guard down, The Mad Jester stomped on his foot! Idol began jumping around like a loon, holding onto his foot, and Jester proceeded to poke him in the eyes! As Jester laughed maniacally, Matinee Idol signaled for the bell, and the bout got underway!Mad Jester vs. Matinee Idol w/ Franco-Mad Jester defeats Matinee Idol by TKO in 0:26 with maniacal punches! Jester knocked Idol on his back, mounted him, and went to town, knocking Matinee Idol senseless! The referee called for the bell after Idol stopped defending himself and went limp! As Franco ran into the cage to check on his man, The Mad Jester grabbed a tube of ketchup, shouted “Ketchup, please!” and began to drench Idol and Franco in it, before skipping away to the raucous cheers of the crowd! --Updates on Matinee Idol’s condition will be released as they become availableHanuman w/ Gila vs. Puma-Puma defeats Hanuman by KO in 1:00 with mounted palm strikes. Puma obliterates Hanuman, sending the genuine AniMan deeper into win-loss purgatory. The Punks vs. Darwin’s Legacy w/ Dr. Barnabas-Taurine defeats Hadrian by KO in 1:16 with a belly to belly slam -Nero defeats Taurine by KO in 3:17 with a right kick, left straight combo -Nero defeats Romulus by KO in 6:26 with savage punches to head. Halfway through the fight with Romulus, Nero took a haymaker to the face, breaking his nose. He fought through it, however, and took the win for his team. JJ Smooth w/ Oliva Swinden vs. Mensar w/ Cordanus-Mensar defeats JJ Smooth by TKO in 4:31 with a keylock. JJ Smooth tried to mount some offense, but Mensar is just too intense, locking on the keylock and twisting the arm until an awful pop is heard throughout the arena! --JJ Smooth’s elbow has been dislocated. Updates on his condition will be released as they come in.Scion Nexus vs. TK w/ Talisman-TK defeats Scion Nexus by KO in 2:59 with a left jab. Nexus wethered a barrage of strikes from TK early on, waiting for an opening and then hitting hard, almost taking TK out! But TK recovered, and landed a jab in the right place for the win. Raze vs. Indigo-Raze defeats Indigo by KO in 9:14 with a belly to belly slam. Raze just battered Indigo in this one, but Indigo would not stay down, constantly trying to fight back to his feet and get some distance. Raze was too good on this night, and eventually dropped Indigo on his head with a belly to belly slam. POC CRUISERWEIGHT FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP Euritar vs. Zed Marlowe w/ Killer Queen-Zed Marlowe defeats Euritar by KO in 4:43 with a right, left combo! This one was short but extremely fast paced and competitive. Euritar would rock Marlowe, but Marlowe would recover, get inside, and bring Euritar down hard to put on the hurt. This cycled through several times, until Marlowe began to evade Euritar’s strikes! Euritar couldn’t catch Marlowe and, getting frustrated, walked right into a right, left combo to the chin! Jack Hood presents Zed Marlowe the belt, officially crowning Zed Marlowe the NEW POC CRUISERWIEGHT CHAMPION! Marlowe leaps to the top of the cage and begins to celebrate, waving his championship through the air! Killer Queen and Morgana celebrate with Marlowe as the crowd goes crazy! Zed Marlowe isn’t just a stupid gimmick, he’s a fighter, and now he’s a champion!

GSPN Galactic Sports Programming Network INJURY UPDATES ON JJ SMOOTH, MATINEE IDOL, AND OTHERSThe violent combat promoted by the POC is taking it's toll on the roster. Here is a full report of the injuries incurred on POC fighters lately. XENIA: Dislocated shoulder, now cleared to compete SERPENTINE: Strained neck muscles, cleared to fight in one card SABOTEUR: Perforated thigh muscle, cleared to fight in one card (Although he's so angry, he could probably fight today with ease) JJ SMOOTH: Dislocated elbow at the hands of the merciless Mensar. JJ will not be cleared to fight for another two cards. MATINEE IDOL: "Mental Trauma" at the hands of the Mad Jester. That's right, according to Franco Jesterelli, Idol's manager, he had a temporary breakdown due to the Mad Jester's shenanigans and will not return to the ring for at least two cards. What a wuss. It will be interesting to see exactly how long the POC can keep itself intact. With five rather serious injuries in five cards, Jack Hood might have to start looking for more talent. And quick!

GSPN Galactic Sports Programming Network THE GOLD STANDARD OF THE POCZed Marlowe, the POC Cruiserweight Fighting Champion and Morgana, the POC Women's Fighting Champion. What do these two competitors have in common besides championship gold, finely tuned combat prowess, and a bright future with the POC? The answer: Killer Queen. Killer Queen manages both of these champions, meaning that at this moment, his stable is solid gold. During Queen's wrestling career, he never had to step into a forum of combat like the POC, but he obviously knows SOMETHING special. What exactly that something is, no one can really tell right now, but as long as Marlowe and Morgana hold on to those titles, there is no question that Killer Queen and his stable are the Gold Standard of the POC.

The Scene: A corridor deep within the Pleaides Cluster Center.
Cypher, perhaps the best grappler in the POC today, stands watching a holovision screen. He just happens to be watching the latest update from GSPN, and Absalom has come onto the screen.
Absalom:...but I cannot take all the credit. For the the sole cause of my success is the True Way. It gives me strength when I am weak, humility when I am proud-
Cypher: (In a high pitched tone, mimicking the screen) I beat Cypher because I have religion. It gives me strength and humility and diaper rash and-
Raze: (walking up behind Cypher) You're a rather sore loser, aren't you?
Cypher: (startled) Don't sneak up on me like that, fool! What do you want?
Raze: I didn't want anything until I heard you over here acting like a whiny baby because Absalom whooped you.
Cypher: Absalom whooped me, huh? Well, if I recall correctly, he "whooped" you a few cards ago didn't he?
Raze: Absalom and I are allies. And we're fighters. We did what had to be done, and we have no hard feelings.
Cypher: Really? No hard feelings. You know, where I come from, allies don't usually make each other look like complete failures in the ring. Unless...you just ARE a complete failure in the ring.
Raze: (grinning) Would you care to find out first hand?
Cypher: (looking around) As a matter of fact, I do need a tune-up match before I ascend to the position of Number One Contender for the Heavyweight Fighting Title.
Raze: Well, we do have a fight card coming up. Shall I go to The Commissioner or you?
Cypher: Don't bother, the pleasure is all mine. I'll see you at POC 5.
Raze nods and walks away confidently.
Cypher: (under his breath) Arrogant fool.
Raze: (under his breath) Jackass.

POC 5: THE ARRIVAL PLEAIDES CLUSTER CENTER Scion Nexus vs. Crucible-Scion Nexus defeats Crucible by KO in 0:31 with a right hook. The night started off with a bang as Nexus connects with a big right hook that shakes Crucible, and then follows it up with another one to knock him out! The crowd goes crazy! Dante vs. Mad Jester-Dante defeats Mad Jester by SUBMISSION in 3:45 with a knee bar. Commissioner Hood thought it would be fun to cross over the weight limits and pit former partners against each other in this one. Dante was having trouble dealing with the Jester’s unpredictability and overall insanity, and was taking a whipping because of it! But the Jester made one mistake and Dante capitalized, capturing a win for his debut to Pleaides Outlaw Combat! Silent Violence vs. The Good ‘Ol Boys-Stigma defeats Silas by SUBMISSION in 7:36 with a triangle arm bar -Stigma defeats Gordo by SUBMISSION in 3:17 with a triangle arm bar. Stigma showed off some of the best footwork ever seen in a mixed martial arts fight. Neither of the Boys could grab hold of him long enough to put him out, although Silas came quite close. Silent Violence proves just how dangerous a combination they are by beating the heaviest team in the Doubles Division! Rhiannon w/ Splatter vs. Desdemona-Rhiannon defeats Desdemona by SUBMISSION in 3:39 with an arm bar. This contest was fought mostly on the ground, as both women were successful in dragging their opponent to the mat. Rhiannon kept working Desdemona’s arm, eventually being able to lock on the arm bar for the win. Ahnu vs. Thayne-Thayne defeats Ahnu by SUBMISSION in 8:58 with a knee bar. This was just a wild slugfest as these two mortal enemies held nothing back. Thayne was in trouble when he just managed to catch Ahnu in a tight knee bar, taking the win! Thayne refused to release the hold, even after the bout, and security was quickly called in to break Thayne off. When the sea of guards finally succeeded in getting Thayne off of Ahnu, the latter replied by leaping into battle, attacking Thayne! Even more security pours into the cage and after a massive effort, the two warriors are pulled apart. Thayne is still wild, lashing out at the security guards, while Ahnu has lost his killer’s cool and is trying to climb over the cage to get at his nemesis! Puma vs. Gunnar-Puma defeats Gunnar by SUBMISSION in 2:32 with a crucifix choke. Gunnar started off strong, opening Puma up with some heavy elbow strikes. But, this only seemed to infuriate Puma who quickly and violently took Gunnar to the ground and choked him out. Puma is looking to challenge Rubicon for the Superheavyweight Championship, and he certainly made that clear tonight. TK w/ Talisman vs. Brainstorm-Brainstorm defeats TK by SUBMISSION in 1:58 with a kimura armlock. Both fighters kept catching each other in compromising positions, and this became a battle of submission holds. It was the clever Brainstorm who spotted the opening he needed, however, and he took the follower of the True Way down. Raze vs. Cypher-Cypher defeats Raze by SUBMISSION in 3:48 with a keylock. Cypher kept making Raze look like an amateur, bringing him to the ground again and again, but Raze managed to slip away each time. Cypher began to get frustrated, and walked right into a left jab, right kick from Raze, almost knocking him out! Raze went to town, but Cypher recovered and took Raze down again, throwing on the keylock and winning the bout. Nano vs. Xenia-Xenia defeats Nano by SUBMISSION in 0:41 with a knee lock. Xenia made a strong return to the ring here, capturing Nano in an inescapable knee lock. The referee called the bout, seeing that Nano was hopelessly trapped, once again leaving Nano begging for more playtime. Commissioner Hood comes to the ring to inform the crowd that to kick off the POC Apocalypse Tour, Thayne and Ahnu will fight once again at POC 6: Violent Rapture. Also, on the same night, the Doubles Fighting Champions, The King’s Men will defend their titles. POC HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP Shylock w/ Splatter vs. Absalom-Shylock defeats Absalom by SUBMISSION in 4:32 with a key lock. Faith vs. Fists, and fists won. Absalom could not escape from Shylock no matter how hard he tried, as Shylock’s striking prowess and overall technique were just too much to handle. Anyone who claims that Shylock is a one-dimensional fighter should take a look at this fight. Shylock is the NEW POC HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHTING CHAMPION! Commissioner Hood gets into the cage, and hands Shylock the title as Splatter and Rhiannon come to congratulate him! Shylock straddles the top of the cage, holding the title high in the air. But, the crowd’s vehement cheers turn to boos as Cypher, not yet showered from his fight earlier in the night, comes to ringside and motions that he will become the next Heavyweight Fighting Champion.
Will the galaxy see Cypher and Shylock go at it in the near future? And what of the returning Saboteur? It is clear that Shylock’s win tonight is just the beginning of what will undoubtedly be a difficult title reign

GSPN Galactic Sports Programming Network EXCLUSIVE COMMENTS FROM THE KING'S MEN AND SILENT VIOLENCEWith the King's Men preparing to defend their Double Championships against Silent Violence at POC 7: Violent Rapture, GSPN asked both teams to take time out of their busy training schedules to give us a few comments. THE KING'S MEN, POC DOUBLES CHAMPIONSJack of Diamonds: I never really thought that Excalibur and I would make it to this point, but I am proud to say that we have. Excalibur here has done ALL of the heavy lifting to get us where we are and I think all of the POC fans should applaud his efforts. But, I want to try to cut him a break, so I will be the one starting against Silent Violence. Excalibur: Thanks, Jack. I am just proud to be counted on the same team as you, and I am very proud of what we have accomplished together. Silent Violence looks to be a very solid team, but there is no way they want these titles like we do, and there is no way that they will win them from us. SILENT VIOLENCEStigma: We will win. They will lose. End of interview.
