Gheist had recovered a fragment of the One Essence Championship amidst the ruins of an ancient temple. Hearing this through his connections,
Avarice the Blackheart immediately contacted Gheist and arranged to pay a hefty sum in order to bring the piece of the Essence over to the ROC. Gheist gave Avarice precise coordinates on Antilia for the deal to go down, but once the Blackheart arrived in the isolated temple, it was clear that Gheist planned on not only shanghai-ing Avarice and robbing him, but to also keep the fragment of the One Essence for himself! Avarice laughed Gheist’s attempts off, which angered the Spectral Assassin, causing him to loose The Possessor! Once this occurred, all bets were off! The deal had gone sour, and right in the middle of ancient Antilian Ruins, Avarice and Gheist went to war for an untold sum of money and a precious fragment of the One Essence Championship!
-Gheist immediately tried to use The Possessor to carve Avarice’s head but the Blackheart’s cool exterior exploded when Gheist attempted to assault his face! Avarice went into a rage, slamming Gheist into many different walls and tossing him down almost every still standing staircase in the ancient stone complex before planting Gheist onto the stone floor with a 7TH SIN, retrieving his money, and taking the fragment of the One Essence Championship!
Avarice: (as Gheist is out cold) Huh. That ‘hoodlum’ Hustler was right: you really are an ass. (pulling a black rose from his cloak and laying it on his foe) Nice try, pal.
AVARICE RECOVERS A FRAGMENT OF THE ONE ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!LOCATION: THE WASTELANDS OF PLANET PRIMUS-As soon as the high-tech sensors and radar within
General Rankor’s rebuilt and redesigned Syndicate Central detected traces of the One and Tag Essence Championships, the Mad Designer set out alongside his newest creations,
The Shock Syndicate, in a hasty charge for the one large crater in which both Championships had been detected. Although ill-equipped compared to the Judas Syndicate and much more technologically inferior,
Paganax and Primus Rising had the planet itself on their side, and had discovered the Essence fragments hours before. Knowing that his mortal enemies were on the way, the Heathen Chief wisely hid his small task force near the pit that contained the Essence. When Rankor and his Judas Syndicate descended into the fiery hole to recover the Essence, Paganax sprung his trap and he, Krypt, and Jakyll surrounded the pit and prepared for attack. Surrounded, General Rankor knew he would have no choice but to fight his way out, and as all 6 warriors present stared each other down, Paganax gave the bellowing command! The Tribes of Primus forces charged into the crater, colliding with the Judas Syndicate as a wild melee for fragments of both the Tag AND One Essence Championships began!
-In a grueling, brutal, and bloody conflict within the lava pit of Primus, the new Krypt and Jakyll proved themselves in battle by standing toe-to-toe with Rankor’s terrifying Shock Syndicate, who performed at less than normal capacity due to being clogged up by the volcanic Primus soil. Paganax was the first to abscond with a fragment of the One Essence after spiking Holocaust into the ground with a PAGAN VOID and climbing up and out of the pit. Primus Rising battled hard to overcome the new 3-on-1 advantage, and after a rock slide buried Holocaust and Flatliner, General Rankor was isolated. Krypt and Jakyll both grabbed large stones and simultaneously bashed Rankor in the head with them, busting him open! Soon after, Primus Rising used Darkness Falls’ old devastating maneuver the RED DAWN to grab the fragment of Tag Essence Championship, and successfully climb out of the pit!
Paganax: (as The Shock Syndicate rises from the rubble, already powering up again and ready to fight) We were lucky to survive on this day, Tribesmen. (turning to his beleaguered soldiers) Just as we fought today…our war against the Judas Sydnicate shall forever be an uphill battle.
PAGANAX RECOVERED A FRAGMENT OF THE ONE ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!
PRIMUS RISING RECOVERED A FRAGMENT OF THE TAG ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!LOCATION: THE DESERTED AND DOWNTRODDEN STREETS OF CENTRAPOLIS-The word on the streets was that several thieves and hobos had laid their eyes and hands upon fragments of both the One Essence Championship and Tag Essence Championships. Once this news reached the House of Pain through their prisoner contacts,
Painmaster and Sycophant set out brazenly from their soaring fortress in pursuit of the Tag Essence fragment.
Mr. Bloat, who had his own ways of finding things out, frequently absconded from the prison complex in pursuit of victims, and so had already begun to slither in the shadows, making his odious way toward the One Essence. Hearing from their fellow Regulators and from several members of the Blue Steel Gang about the sighting of the Essence,
Scorch, Hustler, and Esperanto knew exactly what they had to do. Using their own knowledge of the disparaged streets of Centrapolis, the Regulators set out to track down the fragments of the One and Tag Essences, as well as defeat and apprehend their felonious foes before the House of Pain got the chance to cause any more chaos in the Battle for Centra.
-Painmaster and Sycophant track down the homeless woman currently in possession of the Tag Essence Championship, and like the animals they are, take the fragment from her using unnecessary force. Just as Painmaster is about to put the poor woman out of her misery, Hustler and Scorch arrive on the scene at the end of the long alley all four warriors are in. Not wanting to tangle with the Regulators here, S&M set to running, but after radioing for backup their enemies chase them down in the center of the street and begin to brawl for the Tag Essence fragment! Hustler beats the absolute hell out of Sycophant along with Scorch, covering the leather-bound deviant’s torso in his own running blood. But Sycophant just laughs and laughs and laughs for the whole beating, squealing with delight! This angers Hustler who steps up his violence in order to stop The Deviant’s laughter. But Sycophant continues to enjoy his pain, causing Hustler to explode, and put a bullet in Sycophant’s chest! Sycophant is no longer laughing as he begins to bleed to death in the middle of the street. Seeing his companion hit the dirt in such a fashion, Painmaster grabbed a loose brick from the street and split Scorch open with it! Painmaster then grabbed his heavily bleeding partner, put him on his shoulders, and absconded into the night, abandoning the fragment of the Tag Essence Championships!
Scorch: (slowly recovering and looking at Hustler and his smoking gun) Yer…yer one crazy…yer one crazy motherluva!
SCORCH AND HUSTLER RECOVER A FRAGMENT OF THE TAG ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS!-Unfortunately for the drug dealer who had recovered the fragment of the One Essence Championship, Mr. Bloat found him before Esperanto did. As such, when Esperanto stumbled across his odious nemesis, Bloat was in the middle of carving up the dead body of the narcotics dealer. Seeing his old acquaintance, Bloat flashed a gory smile, grabbed the One Essence fragment, and through it to the ground between he and Esperant, beckoning the Regulator to “Come and get it.” Esperanto fearlessly came and got it alright, beating the obese one to a bloody pulp, smashing his bottle of ‘elixir’ over his slimy head, and taking the jagged edges to the fat one’s throat! Bloat was able to shake Esperanto off, and responded by suddenly and viciously slamming Esperanto through a dingy car window! But the Regulator eventually fought back first knocking Bloat out with a loaded fisticuff and then diving off the top of a car to deliver a finishing DEAD MAN’S HAND! With the odious one apparently unconscious and apprehendable, Esperanto dragged himself over to the fragment of the One Essence, picked it up off the ground, and turned to deliver a degrading remark to his fattened foe. However, to the Regulator’s chagrin, Bloat had disappeared! Cautiously Esperant scanned the surrounding darkness, but it was no use, Mr. Bloat had mysteriously escaped into the night!
Esperanto: (slamming the Essence fragment down) Goddamned fat ass! Damn he’s quick when he’s runnin’ for his life…
ESPERANTO RECOVERED A FRAGMENT OF THE ONE ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!LOCATION: A LARGE AND ANTIQUATED COLISEUM ON MECATOID-Proclaiming to his
Horrors of Hell that “They will show up.”
Godsend placed the fragments of the One and Tag Essences on the stone pedestal before him. Not 5 minutes later,
Shepard and The Archangels did indeed enter the great arena. They had traveled to the Demonic turf of The Dominion to recover the fragments of Essence found there. Flashing a wicked grin, Godsend welcomed his ‘esteemed guests’ to the Coliseum of Greatest Evil and revealed the fragments of the Essence Championships to the members of The Cathedral. Shepard and The Archangels took a few steps forward, but were suddenly blocked by the monstrous form of Darkseed and the maniacal Nightmare. Stepping up between his teammates, Godsend crossed his arms and smirked once again defiantly stating to The Cathedral “If you can escape this place with your lives, you are welcome to take the Essence with you…”
-Exodus and Gabriel use their wings to charge across the stone arena floor at their foes, but Nightmare vanishes, surprising Gabriel and allowing Nightmare to re-appear and go on the attack. Gabriel is severely unprepared for Nightmare’s confounding offense, and takes a lot of damage, allowing Godsend to isolate him and lock him in the HELL’S THRESHOLD! Gabriel squirmed violently until he passed out, at which point Godsend nonchalantly walked over to the One Essence fragment and proclaimed that “He had had enough fun for now.” With that, Godsend disappeared in a tower of flames, taking the One Essence with him! Darkseed continued to barrel through all three members of The Cathedral until Shepard was able to regroup and fire back. However, Nightmare was running circles around Exodus in the stone stands, and then pulled his tricks on Shepard. Meanwhile, Darkseed drove Exodus headfirst and ribs first through the stone stands, battering the Archangel! With Exodus hurting, Gabriel still out of action, and Shepard momentarily down, Nightmare and Darkseed spike piledrove Exodus into the concrete floor, and capped it off with Darkseed’s brutal BELLY OF THE BEAST! Barely recovered, Shepard saw this and lunged for the fragment of Tag Essence, only to see it encircled suddenly by Nightmare’s mists! Before he knew it, Shepard was being rocked by Darkseed’s fists as the Horrors of Hell both laid hands on the Tag Essence, laughed out loud, and disappeared within a whirlwind of Nightmare’s magic!
Godsend: (reappearing with his Dominion at the top of the coliseum in order to gloat) It’s been fun, ye men of the cloth, but I think all six of us have proven here that…You just aren’t worthy of the Essence of Centra!
