Inside the temple...
Aegis: God, be with me...
Aegis walks forward towards Trisis who is facing away from him. Each step echoing inside the room, but Trisis does not make a move. His pistol is still drawn as he edges ever closer towards her. He stops right behind her and speaks her name...
Aegis: Trisis...
Trisis does not move or acknowledge his voice.... Suddenly shots are fired... Aegis curses and goes to grab Trisis' arm and his arm passes through her!!! Aegis curses again and just as he turns around he is hit with a flying object that sends him hard off his feet stunning him....
Aegis' head is throbbing but he is still awake and aware... he looks over to see the object that has hit him rolling to a stop...his eyes take a moment to focus and what he sees stuns him to the core...
The veteran officer Roland's head ripped from his shoulders, his lower jaw missing... a pool of blood forming at the spot it has laid to rest... Aegis reaches for his pistol that is laying beside him but is stopped when a massive foot pins his wrist to the floor. Aegis bites his lower lip as the bone cracks from the pressure...
The image of Trisis fades and is replaced with a hologram of Murdok.....
Murdok: I see that the information I had sent to you as bait worked better than I could ever image...I cannot believe you were so foolish and naive to actually think I would make things so easy for you. And what did your foolishness get you? A dear friend of yours killed by my newest minions...Im sure you recognise them... if not then allow me to introduce Rot and Ruined, Decaying Factor...
Aegis: You sonuva....
Murdok: Before you lose your temper and decide something foolhardy I suggest you take a look at what Ruined is holding...
Aegis glances over and sees Ruined holding Officer Reco by the neck, preapred to crush him if ordered...
Murdok: Now if you cooperate, your junior officer there as a chance to live...if not, then Im sure Ruined wouldnt mind the snack...so the choice is yours Aegis....
Before Aegis can respond Rot kicks him hard in the face driving his head hard into the floor, knocking him cold....
