Fun, useless Tna (impact?) wrestling facts. Please share your own. Did you know.....that this woman is actually OLDER than THIS man? The benefits of good genetics and clean living folks. Other than that, I've got nothing right now. Watch Impact Wrestling Thursday nights on Spike, kids! ;D

Fun fact:
Some people have been critical of Sting's newest character incarnation, but looking back on the unquestionably legendary career of Steve Borden one can see a definite pattern.
Steve "Flash" Borden- a play on the name of comic strip and movie character Flash Gordon.
Blade Runner Sting- part of a tag team with a name taken from the title of a sci-fi movie.
Sting- perhaps a reference to the Redford/ Newman movie "The Sting"? No? well there was also the singer Gordon Sumner who used the stage name "Sting" but I'm chalking that up to coincidence.
Then, of course, there was the mid 90s "Crow Sting", and the current "Joker Sting".
The thing is, he took those ideas and made them work for him where a lesser talent would simply look like a cheap rip-off.....although the jury is still out on this latest one.

The jury is still out on "Joker Sting" as you say but personally I think he's doing a good job with it. I'm actually looking forward to his title match with Kurt Angle and I think they did a nice job building it up on the 8/4 broadcast of Impact Wrestling.

I've tuned into very little TNA/IMPΛCT Wrestling in the last few months, but I like that Sting is animated and looks to be having fun again with his "Joker" persona, but other then that I'm not sure on the rest of the product as a whole...

I've heard some people criticize it as "60s Joker" or "Old Joker." I guess for not being Ledger? I think it's more along the lines of "Classic Joker" and he is doing it quite well.

I just started watching tna and it seems like every match ends is a roll up cause someone is distracted. After watching 2 cards and seeing that finish at least 5 times I done. Even aj styles and Kurt angle can't save me from that

Fun Fact: TNA draws the same ratings every week despite constantly telling us that "next week" they have an announcement that will "change wrestling forever." Fun Fact: That rating is actually lower than Deadliest Warrior. And UFC. And Auction Hunters. And 1000 Ways to Die... Fun Fact: Hulk Hogan has had more on screen time then 90% of the TNA roster. Fun Fact: More people watch WWE Superstars on the internet than watch Impact Wrestling on Spike TV. Wow...this is fun...

Vidtek,
You're doing it wrong! Find a way to work in a fact that includes a pic of Tara (the entire reason behind starting the thread) and you will be forgiven.

Not a huge fan of the Joker Sting, but that is fine, because I understand things have to change. I do watch TNA every week and will even go back and watch episodes onDemand. I know this is older, but still cool! And it moves!
