Only highly promoted action movies listed. Didn't want to list XMen, since I thought that was pretty good, but maybe some of you thought it sucked. All the rest I thought were weak, but the worst were Green Hornet, Fast Five and Transformers 3.

Of the movies I have seen this Summer, I think the most disappointing one was Pirates of the Caribbean 4.
However, I didn't see Transformers 3 because I personally really disliked Transformers 2 (but I did like the first Transformers movie back in 2007.)
The movies I liked the most this Summer included X-Men: First Class and Super 8. But I don't think I will buy either one on DVD.
I thought Captain America and Thor were both OK and worth seeing, but nothing special.
I think I am going to see the new Planet of the Apes movie tomorrow.

I admit that I didn't expect much from most of the movies from this summer and have to say the best time I had at the movies is when I took my second grader to see Kung Fu Panda 2! It was enjoyable... The worst movie I saw however easily had to be Transformers 3... I felt ripped off and the story was soooo convoluted! I wasted $12 and about two hours that I will not be able to get back!

The only ones I've seen were X Men and Captain America, both of which rocked. Good summer for me at the movies so far.

Transformers 3 was the worst i've seen in a while. It starts out real promising...and then the human characters show up. Suffice to say this movie proves that Jar Jar Binks is not the most annoying character in movie history. By a long shot. And there were actually idiots in the theater laughing at the morons on screen. ugh

The worst summer movie by a mile is Transformers 3. Absolutely terrible movie, worst I have seen in a long time. HORRIBLE. Oh, and I agree with offspring515. X-MEN and Captain America were both pretty good movies.

The Marvel movies on this list are all pretty good. The rest however are poor.
Pirates is the worst I've seen this year without doubt.

I liked all the Superhero movies this summer, the only one I didnt catch was X-Men. I'd have to go with Green Hornet, that movie was crap.

Haven't seen any on the list, but we saw Conan yesterday. The visual effects were outstanding. The 3D was impressive. The story did not exist! Holy cow, the story tried to be too much but had too many holes and just fell apart. The visuals can't carry a film these days, you have to have a good story.
