Right now the Yankees and Red Sox are tied for first as they get set to play a 3 game series against each other this weekend in Boston.
It look like whoever (Yankees or Red Sox) does not win this division, will win the AL Wild card as they are both 8 games up on anyone else in the Wild Card standings.

I think the Sox take the division. We're playing well, and the big guns like Youk, Drew, and Buccholz, are all about to return.
But............. in the grand scheme it doesn't matter, because both teams make the playoffs.

"Other" will be finishing 3rd or lower and watching the other two teams in the playoffs on TV.
