I wish to announce that "Bockwinkle99 presents Herb Abrams' Universal Wrestling Federation" will be moving to this message board soon. I wish to express my thanks to all those who have followed me on the old message board and hope you will follow me here, and especially to WTIC for operating the old home of the UWF.
Herb Abrams' UWF is based on the actual federation Mr. Abrams founded and operated in the early 1990's. It combines Legends and (in a separate division) celebrity wrestlers. It currently has a male and female legends division, a legends tag division, a male and female celebrity (TV) division and a female tv tag team division.
Anyone interested may check out the thread on the old message board, and I will begin to post new cards, beginning with the latest Fury Hour TV taping recap, here.
Thank you for your continued support and welcome to the newest fans.

Thank you both. Now, I don't stick strongly to Herb Abrams' original, so don't be too upset.

U66--Bockwinkle99 presents Herb Abrams' UWF.
"This is the FURY HOUR!"
Matches taped at the Reseda Country Club in Los Angeles, CA.
The Fury Hour airs on SportsChannel America--2.5 rating
Craig DeGeorge and Mike Golic at ringside
*) As Craig and Big Mike are discussing the card for the show, King Kong Brody sweeps in howling as only he can. He comments on his upcoming match against UWF Champion "Dr. Death" Steve Williams in Long Beach.
Brody: "Dr. Death, I hear you asking who's King Kong Brody? Who am I? Hell, everyone on earth knows who King Kong Brody is. He's the man who's beaten every wrestler in the world today. Either you're not paying attention, Williams, or you're too stupid to notice, and I don't like either one! Who is King Kong Brody? He's the man who is going to crush you this Saturday and take the UWF Heavyweight Championship from you. That's who I am!"
1. Jose Luis Rivera b. "the Unpredictable" Cactus Jack by DQ.
*)The unpredictable one uses a chair on Rivera to earn the DQ from referee Jesse Hernandez, then uses the chair to show Hernandez what he thinks of the decision. (UWF promoter Herb Abrams fines Cactus $6000 for this). He then walks to the broadcast table and pulls out the mask of the Black Knight.
CACTUS: "Remember this, Battle Kat? Last week, right here, when I came off the top turnbuckle with another chair wearing this mask? It wasn't the Black Knight you were wrestling, it was ME! I just wanted you to know so that you can't blame this guy for your losing this Saturday in Long Beach. It was Cactus Jack that beat you! Now, Battle Kat, listen up! Not only am I gonna beat you this Saturday, I'm going to maim you!"
**) Videotaped interviews conducted by Mike Greenberg of the Angels (Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu) and That '70s Team (Laura Prepon and Mila Kunis) are aired to promote their #1 contenders match on the Williams-Brody undercard.
2. The Brat Pack (Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, w/Andy Kaufman) d. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
*) Nicole Richie p. Amy Poehler for the victory. During the match, Andy tries to interfere but is caught and ejected by referee Kevin James. Later, Lindsay Lohan runs in and tries to storm the ring buy more officials grab her and pull her away from the area.
3. Bud "the Bumblebee" Bundy (w/Jefferson Darcy) p. Nacho Libre
*) Colonel DeBeers struts to ringside and cuts a promo on the Patriot, who he will face in tonight's TV main event.
*) DeBeers: "Patriot, you masked mongrel, why are you afraid of showing your face? The answer is simple. You see, I know the truth about you, Patriot. You are like everyone else in your country, you are a coward! A gutless coward like such men as George Washington and..." At this point, the Patriot comes out of the dressing room area, dragging wrestlers Rikki Attaki and Davey "the Observer" Meltzer behind him in a futile effort to restrain him. Herb Abrams and referees Jesse Hernandez and Scott Dickinson also come out to maintain order. Craig DeGeorge sends the show to commercial break as the men continue shouting insults at one another.
4. Emma Watson (w/Elvira) p. Jennifer Love Hewitt (w/Lacey Chabert)
*) The apprentice "Mistress of the Night" Watson scores a victory over Hewitt in the latest installment of the two teams' rivalry.
**)A promo for the "UWF Wrestling Spectacular" to be held on Saturday at the Long Beach Arena is shown along with a list of the matches as follows:
*) Tommy Angel and Corporal Kirshner vs. the Blackhearts (Vampire Warrior and the Demon, w/Luna Vachon) *) "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff v. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis *) Cactus Jack v. Battle Kat *) Dennis Rodman v. Sylvester Stallone (w/Frank Stallone) *) That '70s Team v. the Angels--winner to receive a title shot *) The Patriot v. Rusty Brooks *) Elvira and Emma Watson v. The Party of Two (Jennifer Love Hewitt and Lacey Chabert) *) The Main Event: "Dr. Death" Steve Williams v. "King Kong" Brody for the UWF Heavyweight Championship
5. Cowboy Bob Orton (w/John Tolos) p. Davey Meltzer in a squash match
6. Colonel DeBeers v. the Patriot ends in a time limit draw. The locker room empties as wrestlers and officials must pull the men apart as the show ends.
Keep an eye out for SHOWDOWN, the UWF's Friday night show hosted by Herb Abrams and John Tolos, which will feature Anna Nicole Smith, the Blackhearts, the return of Dangerous Dan Spivey to the UWF, Jenny McCarthy and in the main event, "Adorable" Adrian Adonis will take on "Wild Thing" Steve Ray. Also, don't forget the "Wrestling Spectacular" this Saturday. Until then, we'll see you at the matches...

You've captured the UWF in a good way, it's cool seeing the hosts of Mike&Mike my favorite ESPN show part of wrestling. I see Golic really doing something like this and a very good start to the fed...
I really enjoyed the King Kong Brody & Cactus Jack stuff and the ending between DeBeers & Patriot is great stuff...

#62--Bockwinkle99 presents Herb Abrams' Universal Wrestling Federation
This is SHOWDOWN!
In-studio hosts: Herb Abrams and John Tolos
Play by play: Craig DeGeorge and Mike Golic
Interviews: Herb Abrams (in studio), Mike Greenberg (video)
Matches taped at the Reseda Country Club in Los Angeles, California
Abrams: "Good evening, wrestling fans, Herb Abrams here along with "the Golden Greek" John Tolos for another week of exciting UWF action here on Showdown. On tonight's show we feature Adorable Adrian Adonis against Wild Thing Steve Ray in our main event."
Tolos: "C'mon, Herb, can't you guys come up with something more interesting than the freak versus the geek for our main event? We have some of the best talent in the world and you pick those guys for the main event?"
Abrams: "Well, how about our opening match with the return of Dangerous Danny Spivey?"
Tolos: "Now that's what I'm talkin' about, man. Dan Spivey is one of the most vicious men in the ring today. He reminds me of me."
Abrams: "Let's go to the ring."
1. Dan Spivey p. Rikki Attaki
*) Rikki, the veteran from Tokyo, takes the early advantage but soon the brutality of Spivey comes to the fore and he scores the victory.
Abrams: "Wow, John, Danny Spivey seems to have added a bit of meanness to his already brutal personality while over in Japan."
Tolos: "Yes, indeed, Abrams, and I've got some news for you. I am currently in talks to represent Mister Spivey and soon the most dangerous man in the world will be part of the stable of the greatest manager in the world today."
Abrams: "Well, I have to admit that a team of John Tolos, Bob Orton and Spivey just might be trouble for the UWF. Speaking of trouble, last week on Showdown we showed you a match where Peg Bundy and Marcy Darcy teamed up to injure "Mythbuster" Kari Byron after a match. Later that night, Mike Greenberg caught up with them for this interview.
(Darcy, Peg and Greeny are taped at the UWF interview area backstage at the Reseda)
Greeny: "Marcy, Peg, I have just been informed by UWF official Al Burke that the two of you have been placed on probation by the federation for your actions tonight. What I have to ask is why did you do that to Kari Byron?"
Peg: "Well, Greeny, I did it to send a message to Shawnee Smith. I wanted to show her that nobody steals anything from us and gets away with it."
Greeny: "What exactly did she steal?"
Marcy: "Typical male. She stole the UWF Womens' TV title, of course. We're going to get it back, no matter how many people we have to hurt to get it."
Greeny: "But Kari Byron..."
Peg: "Got unlucky is all. When you've been married as long as I have, you learn that you can't be subtle because it doesn't work. And I've been too subtle in demanding a rematch against Shawnee Smith. Now, I think I have everybody's attention once and for all."
(Back to the studio)
Abrams: "Well, she certainly got the attention of the UWF. We'll see if she gets the attention of Shawnee Smith and her teammates at SAW. We'll be right back."
(Commercial break)
Abrams: "Welcome back to Showdown, and now we head right to the ring for a match between Jenny McCarthy and Tina Fey."
2. Jenny McCarthy p. Tina Fey
*) It's a tight battle between the women, but in the end the former playmate scores the hard fought victory. The match is briefly interrupted when Laura San Giacomo appears at ringside and tries to get to McCarthy. As referee Sara Gilbert restrains Jenny, league official Al Burke and referees Kevin James and Ryan Styles drag Laura back to the locker rooms.
Tolos: "Man, does that crazy woman Laura want a shot at Jenny? I say let 'em go."
Abrams: "And I have to agree, John. I'm sure the UWF bookers will make the match soon, and it will be a great one, I'm sure. Speaking of crazy women, John, our next match is a non title match between Allison Royal and the UWF womens champion, Luna Vachon."
Tolos: "That's not a nice thing to say about Allison Royal."
Abrams: "I meant Luna, John."
Tolos: "Ah. It's that stupid New York accent of yours, Abrams, sometimes I can't understand what you say."
Abrams (exasperated): "Let's go to the ring."
3. UWF Womens champion Luna Vachon b. Allison Royal by countout.
*) Allison is little match for Luna and soon Vachon has knocked her out with a DDT to the floor, leaving referee Billy Silverman no choice but to count Royal out as Luna spews threats at Rockin Robin. After the bell, Luna grabs the house mic; "Robin, I see you are too much of a coward to come out and face me. I guess then that I'll have to take it out on this one." And she proceeds to do so, brutally pummelling Allison Royal until officials can intervene and stop her.
Abrams: "Needless to say, Luna is one dangerous..."
Tolos: "Watch your mouth, Abrams!"
Abrams: "...woman."
Tolos: "Much better. I agree, and I want to give Rockin Robin some advice. Leave the UWF before she finds you! You're too young to have your career ended this soon."
Abrams: "I'm sure that it's not a matter of finding Robin. From what I've seen of her, she's not one to back down from a fight. We'll be right back,"
(A promo of the coming Wrestling Extravaganza airs, featuring the main event of UWF Champion Steve Williams facing King Kong Brody for the title, followed by taped promos by Adrian Adonis and Paul Orndorff.)
Abrams: "Let's go right back to the action with the Blackhearts taking on Los Conquistadors."
4. The Blackhearts (w/Luna Vachon) d. Los Conquistadors
*) Vampire Warrior uses the Impailer to finish off Q #2 as the Demon flips Q#1 over the top rope.
Tolos: "I hope that Corporal Kirshner and Tommy Angel were watching that match and taking notes, then deciding to forfeit their match against the Blackhearts coming up in Long Beach."
Abrams: "I doubt that, John. I'm sure that both Angel and the Corporal will be there on Saturday. A title shot is at stake."
Tolos: "Not sure you should say 'stake' to the Vampire Warrior, Abrams."
Abrams: "You may have a point."
Tolos: "Of course I do."
Abrams: "Anyway, the main event of that night will be the UWF Heavyweight Championship between Dr. Death Steve Williams and King Kong Brody. Here's a recap of their rivalry so far..."
(A video package including their encounter at the Blackjack Brawl and their promos from Fury Hour airs)
Abrams: "It will be a wild one at Long Beach coming up. Right now, back to the action. It's Peg's daugher, Kelly 'the Verminator' Bundy, up against Anna Nicole Smith."
5. Anna Nicole Smith b. Kelly Bundy (w/Marcy Darcy) by DQ when Kelly sprays Anna-Nicole in the face with her bug spray.
*) As Marcy slaps ref Ryan Styles and knocks him from the ring, Kelly pounds the blinded Anna Nicole with a series of elbow drops from the top turnbuckle. Once order is restored and Smith is tended to by medics, Al Burke announces that Marcy Darcy will be fined $10,000 for striking a referee and violating her UWF mandated probation. Kelly will also be fined $5000 for her actions.
Abrams: "I don't think that's enough of a punishment for the Bundys! They could have blinded Anna Nicole Smith for life! As it is, she'll be out for quite a while."
Tolos: "Oh, lighten up, Abrams, she's not blind. Dumb, but not blind."
Abrams: "Will you stop? We'll be right back with our main event."
(Commercial break)
Abrams: "It's time for our main event here on Showdown, Adorable Adrian Adonis against Wild Thing Steve Ray, which should be a great match."
Tolos: "I guess, but I don't like either one. This match is like a salad. Steve Ray is nuts, and Adrian is..."
Abrams: "Careful, John, remember what the executives at SportsChannel told you yesterday."
(Tolos grumbles, but doesn't finish his sentence)
Abrams: "Let's go to the ring."
6. Adorable Adrian Adonis b. Wild Thing Steve Ray by DQ when Paul Orndorff storms the ring and attacks Adonis.
*)Mr. Wonderful and the Adorable One brawl in and out of the ring, ripping up Craig DeGeorge and Mike Golic's broadcast position, then go into the crowd. Uniformed security arrive on the scene and aid UWF security and referees in finally separating them.
Tolos: "Wow, Abrams, that's what the UWF is about. Two tough guys going toe to toe!"
Abrams: "While I have to say it did get a little out of hand, I have to agree that Paul Orndorff and Adrian Adonis are two of the best, and that is what the UWF is about, putting the best in the ring and letting them fight it out. Until next time, wrestling fans, this is Herb Abrams for John Tolos. We'll see you at the matches!"

A very Entertaining Showdown, I wasn't sure if I'd like the Celebs wrestling, but it has that UWF vibe I could have seen Abrams running with in some form. The banter between Herb & Tolos is SOLID! and I like that your having Tolos the Greatest Manager managing Orton & Spivey like he did in the real UWF, great stuff once again...

*) Orndorff is again left stunned as the Adorable one scores another clean win over Mr. Wonderful.
3. Dennis Rodman b. Sylvester Stallone (w/Frank Stallone) by disq.

*) The two heavyweights engage in a brawl that Brody wins cleanly, stomping and "huff"-ing off with the UWF title.
