I was wondering what you guys do with 4(1) pin ratings guys that roll a 2 on first pin attempt that has no finisher modifier?

Add 1 and roll on lvl. 3 offense.

Add 1 and go. That's the benefit of the 4(1) PIN.

I roll it as an official pin/submission attempt even though I know this pin/submission attmept is guaranteed to fail if its from a finisher of (0) or just a level 3 move.
So I guess that's basically the same thing as adding one to the opponent's pin and moving on with the match.

I'm not sure about the wording of the question. Are you asking if someone would actually call a roll of snake-eyes a pinfall loss for a guy with a pin of 1? If so, then what good would having a pin of 4(1) be? It would be 4(2) in that case. The reason for the 1 is that the guy is impossible to pin on the first try without wearing him down. It denotes someone of the highest stamina or toughness.
I roll the dice for the pin even though I know it can't be a loss, just to see how "close" the fall came and keep some consistency in my rolls. Like a roll of 2 I will imagine as one of those 2and 3/4 near falls and a roll of 11 or 12 would be a power out at 1 count scenario.

I use the higher number for pins (ie 4) ..In my old GWF I used a tied pin count chart , maybe its in the opemn source section somewhere. I also dont add one for normal pins. I detest that add one on normal pins rule.. How in the heck does a missed sunset flip pin do damage to defensive wrestler..it doesnt..
In my old GWF i had a formula that would add one after so many normal pin attempts, it worked well.I havent used it in my Legends feds though.
