There are a few big name COTG characters that came and went without ever receiving an update...Massif being a prime example of a top-of-the-card type of guy who sorta just faded out while everyone around him was either upgraded or downgraded as time passed.
My question to everyone is this:
Should a character like Massif be left alone completely?
OR
Now that we've got the ability to have real-time 'Character Progression' through COTGonline, should his moves/stats/ratings be slightly tweaked?
I initially was going to leave him completely alone, but LWPD brought up an interesting point to me about Iron Mane being another example of this sort of character. So, based on the results of this poll, I will either leave the big man alone...or...give him the tweaking he's deserved.
...oh, and vote/reply ASAP...WAR GAMES is less than a week away!

I think, as far the the official story goes, it would make sense to give him a slight downgrade... he becomes a bit of a non-factor in the story, IMO during War Games, so an upgrade wouldn't make sense.. he's no longer at the top of the card in 2090.

Just leave him alone.
As the other characters got better, that in itself is a kind of downgrade for him and probably kept him held back.

Better or worse, a little tweaking is nice especially if it allows guys to follow the rules better as a lot of the original guys violate one rule or another.

I'm all for character progression, but I think in the case of purity of the game, the classic characters should be left alone. The only way I agree with character progression of this kind is if Tom gives his blessing or if it is due to his success or lack there of, in your fed. Officially, keep everyone the way they are, of the loder editions. For current guys, if the creators at HQ want it, I say go for it!

In my humble opinion, I think that Massif should be left alone but before you grab the pitch forks and torches-let me speak my mind while it's clear.
This GWF Legend was never about putting himself over especially when it concerned some of his teammates! Look at some of his teammates...roughly they were Star Warrior, Galactic Punisher, US Patriot, Justice...even the washed up Commander Sam! I used to think of this guy kinda like Andre the Giant where he backed up his friends and was kind of a 'fan favorite' for his demeanor.
I waited and waited for something with Massif to turn on his teammates like Andre the Giant and get that superstar card but it was never to be...
Plus, he stepped down due to Sudden Death loses voluntarily (if I remember correctly) and was still that lovable giant when he returned as Commissioner in the very fed he began his career in! I am not counting his referee days for the CPC because as Tyson used to say..."Absolutely loota-kris!"
That is my view on the upgrade...take it what it's worth...

Leave him alone. Character progression for only current characters is what I'd stick with.

I really liked the Massif character and felt he didnt get his due justice. In 2089 he went to tag team to prove he could do it and in 2090 it said he and Earthquake were very successful. Perhaps a tag team upgrade to his card. A few (tag) adding on might be great. I always wanted a Massif upgrade but that might be because he did so well in my fed!
