Who should be Monolith's first opponent?

Well...he's about to make his debut and I can't figure out who I want him to face first. Here is my dilema...he's going to feud with Disaster...but I'm not sure if I wan't to have the feud start off right away...or have him 'tested' a bit before he gets Disaster on the next SUPERCARD. This upcoming show is pretty much a 'RAW' level show.

I'm thinking Minotaur because he's a big wrestler, a tough veteran, and there's that AniMan 'question' regarding Monolith...it works for me. Monolith should win...but if he doesn't, not the worst thing in the world.

Steele Freak because Vin would lobby for TGSITG to somehow get some of the Monolith spotlight...so he'd be willing to sacrafice Steele Freak...and Freak, to his credit, earned a shot at the GWF Title by being a very tough competitor, and I like the idea of Monolith having to deal with a unique wrestler like Steele Freak...one he probably hasn't seen before.

And Payback (c) of course for those who feel that Monolith should start right at the top, and who better to fight first than the GWF Champ. I, for one, am not a fan of this...and if I did decide to choose Payback, it would almost 100% be a non-title match...but if Monolith were to win...and seeing as how the #1 contender spot is half open...

Anyway...that's where I'm at with it...I may pick Disaster and just let them at it...and I may not even go with the guy who gets the most votes...but I'd just like to see what other promoters would do?

I like the reasoning on Steele Freak, but I really like having him face Minotaur first for all the reasons you listed. Good call.

hahaha...wouldn't you know it...I run the card and Steele Freak takes over the lead in votes! No matter...I got such a good response for both guys I ended up having Monolith face Steele Freak next...and the result was the same...

This just in!!! Monolith is a monster!

So...after watching Monolith destroy both guys...I had a decision to make. I figured it was a waste of time to pit any more 'mid level' guys against Monolith, and pretty much everyone else is busy with their own agendas...so...

Next up for Monolith......Disaster!

Now, I've read that some people like to do a slow build to a SUPERCARD for a match like this...and to be honest, I'd probably do something similar...but after picking up the game after nearly 2 years of not playing, I'm kind of excited to play some BIG matches...and I also want to do things a little different from how I used to...thus the BIG match now.

Am I rushing things? Or, do you think, like I do, that this Disaster v. Monolith feud could, if managed well, produce 5 or 6 really BIG 1 on 1 matches?
