Has Kris Osk outdone himself or what! Flesh and Blood is a really cool horror story made all the better by the free audio file that comes with the book. Mark Ashby and his traveling theater troupe did a great job with audio! Please give us your feedback on the story and audio. And get psyched, part 2 of this thriller is coming in DEC! If you haven't done so yet, listen to the FREE audio preview and don't hesitate to order Flesh and Blood for a paltry $6! www.darkmenacepro.com/fleshandblood.html

Just finished reading this last night and its an awesome read. My only complaint is that I have to wait 6 months to continue reading. An awesome cliff hanger at the end wets my appetite even more. I haven't listened to the audio yet, but cant wait to do that.

Yeah I'm waiting to listen to the audio before I post anything. I agree with the 6 months though

Dag nabbit lost my review, but I'll do it again. I think I've told Osk most of this anyways, but I'm going to make it shorter this time around.
Story, really enjoyed it and I think others who like vampires and such would too. While it was a short read I was satified with the Beg, Mid, and End this provided. It did have a nice cliffhanger but I felt this short story held its own.
Formatting, was good. Standard paragraphs and such. Liked Chapter fonts. Loved Werner's interiors. I think that was a great touch and I hope Werner does some more for the next installment. I though that even though it was short character development was good. It gave enough characterization that you get a good feel for the characters. None are really brushed over and none just outright overpower either. I will have to say that Thorn is my fav.
I honestly haven't finished the audio but I have listened for a nice little bit. I love the audio great job by everyone and I think its a great addition. I like it too because it will be a great way to refresh my memory when the second episode comes around.
Critiques? Hmmm Something about the initial cover of the book throws me off. I think its the Flesh colored word flesh on a white background. Maybe black would have been better? I also go back and forth as to if I like the 'box frame' for the text. Normally I think I wouldnt' like it but because of the interior art I think it works well.
Thats really a small issue though and can't think of anything else. I really hope that it keeps up for the second installment.

I like Thorn, too, mainly because there's a lot that can be done with him in the next installments. That was a hard role to cast in the audio portion, too, but I have to say that the actor I got to do it (Tom Shanklin) really got the idea of the character right. The scene with him and Miranda near the end is probably my favorite moment of audio.
Glad you like it!

Indeed I did, and I plan on listening to it again when driving in my car today.
