Terry Funk vs Aldo Marino 6/29/85A notable squash match featuring the WWF debut of the legendary Terry Funk. The beaten ring announcer was the infamous Mel Phillips. The female referee was the lovely Rita Marie. Both would play roles in the 1992 media scandals that plagued Vince McMahon and his company, resulting in very lucrative billing hours for Jerry McDevitt. The Insanity of Terry Funk. The above post with Mel Phillips reminded me of this promo. Certainly not politically correct but still gets the point across.

A look back at the Undertaker/Diamond Dallas Page feud from the summer of '01. DDP made the best of a questionable debut angle, pulling off the smarmy stalker persona that even Paul Heyman was booked to be visually 'uncomfortable' with. Taker was convincing as the angry husband, and even Sara did a decent job as wife in peril. Yet the booked outcome of the brawl at the KOTR was among the most one sided beatings I can recall for a featured program with weeks of televised creative investment. Prospects didn't get much better for the future Yoga Master, as the remainder of the year would see him drop losses in tag matches against Taker & Kane, enjoy a brief reign as a tag champion with Kanyon (before jobbing the belts again to Taker) and then tour the house show circuit with a steady stream of pinfall losses to much of the semi-main face roster (Booker T, Edge, Kane, Kurt Angle, Big Show). Even Sara pinned him! Mystery Man Stalks Undertaker's wife Sara DDP WWE Debut 6/18/01The Undertaker & DDP Brawl 'King Of The Ring' 6/24/01
