Not sure if this should go here or in POW but am looking for a site if anyone can recommend one that can give me a comprehensive list of ALL KNOWN MMA moves/attacks. I know there is a couple good ones for wrestling but don't know about MMA. ANy help given would be appreciated!

I'm not sure if it exactly what you are looking for, but I'm fairly certain that there is a thread in the COTG/LOW Resources portion of this board that contains several helpful links.
Also, in the 'What the Heck is an Uchi Mata" thread of the POW section of the board, there may be some helpful links.
I remember sometime last year Darth Turkish hooked me up with an excellent submission site, I just can't remember it or where he posted it.

Not sure if this should go here or in POW but am looking for a site if anyone can recommend one that can give me a comprehensive list of ALL KNOWN MMA moves/attacks. I know there is a couple good ones for wrestling but don't know about MMA. ANy help given would be appreciated! That's quite a request. Unlike with pro wres, there really isn't such an online resource that I know of. The fundamentals of the component arts (such as BJJ, Judo, Wrestling, Boxing) can be readily found by searching site specific...but MMA forces a dynamic adaption that's harder to quantify and often causes even fundamental techniques to change (such as 'proper' head positioning off a double leg attempt). In terms of buying a comprehensive move/tactic compendium that can be helpful for making MMA bootlegs with depth, you may want to consider Bas Rutten's Big Books of Combat 1 and 2. It's more Vale Tudo focused than Sport MMA but it still covers just about everything the sport version offers and more. Volume 1 is focused on Stand Up (Muay Thai, Western Boxing, Karate, the clinch). Volume 2 is all grappling. I brought this a few years ago and while it's a bit pricey but you do get a strong value for what you're paying for and I still recommend. Check the reviews from around the web and you'll see most are very positive. I'm not sure if it exactly what you are looking for, but I'm fairly certain that there is a thread in the COTG/LOW Resources portion of this board that contains several helpful links. I have to clean the MMA Streaming Link Resource thread up and knock out the dead links...also throw in some updates. Some quick streaming hits for those looking for 'move overviews' in the component arts would be: Submissions 101 will give you a short overview of many (mostly practical) grappling subs.

If you are looking for a specific move on one of the cards, I treid to list them in the "What the Heck is an Uchi Mata?" thread mentioned by hyde. The link with the grappling moves is contained within, if it is still viable.
But Paint provided some good resources and nailed it on the head: a wrestler's hip throw is a judoka's ogoshi (to name one ) which is a samboist's bedro. It really depends upon which style the guy is using.
If you have specific move questons, feel free to ask.

i wasn't looking for the definsiotn of a specific move, but rather a list of various Strikes, Clinch moves and obviously submissions. I am making a bootleg MMA set for the con and I ws looking for a site that listed all those kinds of things That I could use. I asked becasue I was going through the POW cards and noticed a fair amount of repetition and I wanted to avoid that as much as I could-thus the request. BTW: FYI, all of the characters stats have been/ will be seen by Mark and have been/will be toned down accordingly-so they should be fully compatible with the POW cards, so no worrying about over stacked Chars for this set!

The cards look pretty good, and based on the last couple you sent, I think we're both getting an idea of how we who created the system should instruct folks on how to make their own cards, so it's been a learning experience for us both. Should be a great set. I'm looking forward to it!
