That is the way to sell a PPV. I can see a couple of clear directions this can go from here, but I don't want to think too much about it. I actually want to see what happens next.

The segment was simply outstanding. Triple H as special referee. That worries me. It worries me that WWE is going to try and get cute and screw it up. Someone needs to tell WWE that sometimes the match itself is the entertainment. It doesn't need a screwjob, swerve, run-in, etc. I hope the WWE let's this be one of those moments where they just let the match be the show itself. Something tells me I'm asking for too much.

Great way to end Raw. I hate to get my hopes up because they may screw it up, but has all the makings of a great PPV.

Somebody else came up with this idea on another forum, but it makes complete sense to me and I think this may be the way WWE goes with it at Summer Slam.

Cm punk got me back into wrestling which in turn got me back into COTG so I'm thankful for that. Tonight I too gained some respect for Cena for admitting he's not going to increase his work rate, move away from the 5 moves of doom or accept his heel persona lol. All I wonder sometimes while I c triple h n the middle of them is he really retired? And how long before he interjects himself into the picture. I don't believe he's above burying anyone for himself

I don't think Trips is fully retired but I don't see him as a full time wrestler either. Maybe a couple more matches.
I like the idea Chewey posted.

Was talking with my brother the other day and he was reading on (I think) Lords of Pain that they had to do something like 7 re-writes on the Triple H - CM Punk confrontation a few weeks ago. Up until the 5th re-write, HHH was going to Pedigree Punk, but someone on the committee stuck to their guns about it "killing the angle" before the PPV. Take that for what it is, but it doesn't seem like it would be that far from the truth

I'd say most of the ways that HHH can interject himself into the angle as a wrestler will pretty much kill it dead... so hopefully that won't happen....
I guess it would be OK if he costs Punk the match then puts Punk over on the next PPV, but even that could be bad.
He's working really well so far as a fairly neutral GM... I hope it stays that way.

Everyone is expecting a screw job (one way or another), so hopefully they will NOT do it b/c everyone things they will

Yeah, 80% chance it happens. i've been thinking that. They both remain babyfaces. Cena then loses when Del Rio cashes in. Punk vs. HHH. Or Miz gets involved and costs Punk the title. that sets up that feud.
