MOD EDIT: Since the poster of this thread took his original post down, I've edited my reply to be more of an announcement for any other people having connection issues.
We're currently working on redesigning the Multiplayer function due to recent connection issues. Unfortunately there will always be issues in terms of connecting with others over the internet for gaming purposes, but we're looking to have a stronger program in place to increase connectivity.
