Cody is exactly the kind of wrestler you want holding the I-C Title. It looked like a special win for him. I hope he has a good, memorable reign, maybe even defending it this Sunday at SS.
Zeke's reign really sucked the life out of the belt for me, and before that Barrett had an unremarkable reign.

I agree. Rhodes, to me, has shined since leaving Legacy. I loved his Dashing persona, but his new gimmick, once again, to me, is really awesome. Also, he can wrestle. DiBiase, on the other hand, can be cut... and I wouldn't care.
Zeke's reign was horrid. I'm sure he's next to go.

I didn't like zeke but it's not like the WWE put him up against anyone to have great matches, only enhancement matches. He needs more work, the entire WWE under card does, starting with the way they book it

I don't understand why Cody is "the kind of guy you want holding the I-C Title." He doesn't suck, but right now, he's just another guy with a gimmick.
Jackson's reign was nothing to write home about, but I can't imagine any reason why it was his fault. WWE didn't really do anything with him. For his part, he seemed very proud to hold the belt. Moreover, I think it lent some credibility to the belt that a big guy who could be going for a bigger belt was the IC Champ and was quite pleased with it.

I've been enjoying Rhodes a lot ever since WM. Thought he may have been winning the Smackdown MITB, but winning the I-C title works too. Glad they put the belt on him.

Cody Rhodes has been a "Star" with this gimmick and I've enjoyed his run since he got the mask. There is a YouTube video of Cody at the San Diego Comic-Con and it's great stuff by him. I read that Rhodes vs. Zeke could happen at SS tomorrow night in a rematch, I like Jackson but he's not cutting it right now for me...

"Just a guy with a gimmick" could describe every wrestler. Even the old "no gimmick" thing is a gimmick.
But anyhow Cody is awesome and has been treading water since his big WM win over Mysterio. Glad to see they are going somewhere with him. Hopefully this leads to Dibiase finally going face (which he's much better at) and those two having a long feud.

I don't understand why Cody is "the kind of guy you want holding the I-C Title." He doesn't suck, but right now, he's just another guy with a gimmick. IMO, Cody falls into a few categories you want for a strong I-C Title holder. He's athletic, young, and he can wrestle. You want your I-C champ to be able to put on great matches in the mid-card. Bret Hart. Curt Hennig, HBK, Macho Man the list goes on. Forever Hogan and the WWF Title was the match for all the theatrics and drama while the I-C Title was often the best *wrestling* match on the card. Cody has the ability to have a great match with similar types (see Rey Mysterio at Mania) And he's got the legacy. He's Dusty Rhodes kid. Dusty was a champion. He is remembered as being a Hall of Famer. Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Alex Riley, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Evan Bourne, maybe Sin Cara...guys like this should make up the current I-C Title picture imo. Tons of great matches right here mixing and matching these talents.
