It's Verne Gagne in the 80s all over again.
Seem to recall that's how Colorado Kid got his title reign too.

Just thinking, this is not the place for that story. Want to keep things positive here.

It was stupid for them to ruin things with TNA to begin with. It's been a downward spiral ever since. I know The Sheik paid, I just think it was stupid because no one outside of Florida has a clue who he is.

Given how TNA is being run lately, I don't blame the NWA for not wanting anything to do with them. I do hope NWA returns to prominence, don't get me wrong, but TNA was not the route to get there.

I remember reading back when the NWA was pulling out of TNA, that the NWA wasn't happy that TNA was changing the Championship Belt without there prior knowledge or authorization.
Seeing how Vince Russo treats title's I'm not surprised that the NWA stepped away from TNA.

After seeing Pearce in 3XW defending the title in January, I have a new found respect for him. I've been watching his promos and coverage as he tours the Midwest. To me, I don't see anything wrong with him. He can wrestle, he can talk, he gets heat and he's good at them all. If I dare say, he's the equivalent of Ric Flair of the 80's in today's world.
I never really knew of Pearce before this, only by name and such, but after seeing him and watching it all, I think he's the right guy for the job and a very good NWA champ.

It's cool that you got to see Adam Pearce in 3XW and he is one of my Favorite indy wrestlers in the last several years. He and Colt Cabana in the NWA are reviving their feud and that should be wild...
