Although this happened over 2 1/2 weeks ago, I just found out this morning that LOTF's Adam Pearce regained the NWA World
"Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce as he became the new NWA World's Heavyweight Champion on July 31, 2011 by defeating NWA National Champion Chance Prophet, NWA North American Champion Shawn Tempers, and former NWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Rave in a 4-Way Rampage match in Columbus, Ohio.
This marks the fourth time in his illustrious 16-year career that Pearce has worn the legendary "10 Pounds of Gold".
Pearce recently returned to NWA Hollywood and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (which hasn't been on NWA Hollywood since Colt Cabana lost the title to the Sheik) should soon again appear on the broadcasts of NWA Hollywood.

I've talked with a few others who follow the NWA World Title and are sick of Pearce as the Champion, they said he's worse then Jarrett. I disagree, I like Adam Pearce and the NWA to me is Adam Pearce and it's Cool he's on Top of the NWA once again...

It's the old...we can't figure out who we should have as champ so put it back on Pearce again till we can figure out someone.
Mind you, The Sheik debacle is just more egg on the NWA's face.

Archibald Peck is the rightful owner of the NWA Title. He evens says so on the King of Trios DVD.

I am to the point where I ignore the NWA completely. The fact that Mike Porter is still a part of it and a "respected" member shows the NWA is nothing but a shill for money marks. The true NWA died over 20 years ago I am afraid.

Especially with the recent departure of Joey Ryan and the apparent departure of Colt Cabana.

Pearce may be (at this point) the placehold champion, but what other choice do they really have? If you can't count on your champion, then what good is he. Pearce, no matter how you might feel about his work, is consitent. And yes, this is very much like Jarrett.

I dont think he is a placehold champion, they were gonna put the belt on him anyways. That is the reason for the whole Sheik mess. Sheik paid a lot of money for the belt, and wanted to keep it longer.

I'm overly tired of Adam Pearce as champion. The Sheik thing was just stupid though, I don't even know why they gave him the belt when they have at least a dozen better options out there that wouldn't have screwed things up like that.
For starters, Phil Shatter. Why didn't he get the belt. He has star power, he has skills in the ring and he's overall, a very good heel. There's no reason he shouldn't have gotten a reign.
My problem with the NWA is there's no inbetween with the belt anymore. Someone is either holding the belt for a couple of years or they're getting a token month long reign to transition it somewhere. They really need to mix it up with some 4-6 month reigns here and there.

They gave the Sheik the belt cause he gave them a bag of money.
