Here's a "direct-to-the-Board" teaser for MARTIAL LAW 2123---

"THEY'RE GONE!"

Rumors circulating in the GWF have at least five people missing in action including Kill Prey, Shann-Ra, Swarm, Daimyo, and Reckless!

Some key people in the GWF comment on these disappearances:

Vidtek: (regarding Kill Prey and Shann-Ra): This is off-the-record, but it looks to me like they're gone for good. Kill Prey's not the type to announce his retirement, he'd just leave. As for why, it's probably got to do with this whole Endgame's Crusade vs Outlaw Nation war. It's an open secret that he was turned off by taking sides.

Panther Warrior (regarding Swarm): No comment!

Tristan (regarding Reckless): I think it's the end for Reckless in the GWF.

Massif (regarding Daimyo): I don't have any more information than anybody else, but the disappearance of Daimyo is no less suspicious than the disappearances of the Gatekeeper and Dead Ringer. We'll have to wait and see.

Swarm and Reckless is surprising

NO! Kill Prey and Shann-Ra are currently my two favorite character's in the game and Kill Prey has been an unbeatable IP champion. Also I was really looking forward to a Swarm update. If this is true, and I'm assuming it is, this is terrible news and may color my opinion on buying the set.

Though I'd be torn because the Tricks update looks freaking sweet...

Wow!! Kill Prey and Shann-Ra have also been cornerstones in my fed since New Beginnings. I have a feeling Swarm will only be a year absense, or else he's going to show back up at the end of the story. Reckless I can see being called back to the 2nd(?) Realm. Daimyo is no suprise as he's been disappearing, and reapearing every set. I wonder if he's Patch? It would make sense why he's been wearing a mask for 3 years.

Here's my thoughts from GBITG:

Swarm is coming back with an upgrade.

I have no idea what is going on with Daimyo, but by next edition I think we're going to find out who he is and how is able to get such personal information about his opponents. His absences is temporary.

I love Kill Prey and his card dynamic but his absence might not be temporary. Sadly. He might be a victim of Tom's desire to limit roster size (which is a great idea btw) and the GWF's team dynamic. If it were up to me I'd bring him back with Bounty Hunter and another loner type character (Cypher possibly?) and push Thrill of the Chase the way the HitMen were pushed.

I have a feeling Reckless is that top hat guy. Which cheeses me off because I asked Tom about 17 times in LA if that was Tristan and he ddin't even give me a "getting warmer." What a poker face.

Man the waiting is killing me. I agree with you Pete, I believe a 'outside' team would be a good possiblilty.

I don't see anyone here as a big loss. I've had problems getting into Ewarm since he was first introduced, Killprey has had his uses, but again, no big loss. The same goes for Shann-Ra.

Reckless was a upper mid carder for me, but hasn't had anything to do in so long, he's fallen to the wayside and I've sent both he and Tristan down to the GWFZ as trainers. He's going back to the 2nd Realm or a.C.e. if you ask me.

Daimyo is no big loss either. The payoff for the Gatekeeper/Dead Ringer/Daimyo fiasco better be good... These one and done cards are getting old.

All and all, I'm really looking forward to 2123!
