Already been a fun season. Baylor with a big win over TCU. Currently, Utah St leads Auburn. Hope they can finish it off.

Fun game between Northwestern @ Boston College, I was hoping BC could've tied it in the last seconds but Northwestern held on for the Win...

How many times will Auburn luck out and win a game they get outplayed in?
They did it all last year and again today.
Then again, if they need a miracle to beat Utah State, the rest of the SEC has to be licking their chops!

Imo, AMAZING first weekend in college football.
First and foremost as a MI man WELCOME BACK MI FOOTBALL! That first drive was a groaner but it went all up hill after that. Stomped Western and didn't even need 4 full quarters to do so. STRONG!
Notre Dame tumbles to my personal favorite FL team, the USF Bulls. I think this puts the pressure on MI next week. You don't expect to be playing 0-1 ND in week 2. Now ND has nothing to lose. MI looks more talented and Brian Kelly is the biggest bust in the NCAA this side of Ohio State. Hoke should be able to handle that jobber.
Weeklend started out in dramatic fashion with Baylor upsetting TCU. Saw a lot of under-the-radar hype for Baylor this off season. Looks like they are the real deal this year. More excitement. I love then schools come out of nowhere like that. Doesn't happen enough imo.
LSU crushes Oregon without a ton of their best guys including that thug ass QB. Impressive. Most people had them losing. I give Oregon a lot of credit. Seems like every year they take on the best early in the season.
Speaking of that so does Boise State and this year they win again. Can't ignore this team anymore. They're the real deal. Would LOVE to see Boise in the Pac-10.
Big 10 looked good opening weekend with almost everyone winning. MN almost beat USCheat. So close. Man Lane Kiffin is such a dirty son of a bitch. You can just tell looking at him. I feel like USC is gonna get busted again sooner than later.
Out west UCLA vs. Houston was wild. It was great being able to see not only Matt Barkley (who looks like an NFL pro already) but Case Keenum of Houston. Two future NFL pro's. Can never start scouting for the draft too early.
Helluva week 1. MI VS. ND IN WEEK 2 BRING IT!

I'm glad Houston won over UCLA and my favorite team the Western Michigan Broncos now can focus on winning the MAC after the Michigan defeat...

Usually, I would talk mad shit to you Rob about a ND/MI game but after what I saw on Sat........can we just fast forward to the end of the season when Brian Kelly gets fired?
And Notre Dame is a catholic school. Whats up with Brian Kelly dropping an F bomb. The players have to be held to a higher standard but not the coaches. Damnit, where is Lou Holtz?
Screw it; I'm becoming an Illini fan!!

Officially done with ND. Inexcusable defense. Absolutely inexcusable. The missed tackles on that backdoor screen to Vincent Smith. Time and time and time again; Gary Gray not looking for the ball. Which, excuse me if I'm wrong, is job freeken one for a cornerback. So pissed off I can't go to sleep and I have to be up at 5am.

Heart Attack Saturday!
That was an insane Week 2. Just like Week 1. Everybody from Michigan-Notre Dame down to Army-San Diego State went down to the wire. This is going to be a wild season.
Early season prediction: No BCS school goes undefeated.

I've been watching MI football for approx. 30 years. After the last two years vs. ND I thought I'd seen it all. Then last night happened. What is there to say? Even after a good nights sleep I'm still speechless. GREATEST 4th Quarter of college football I've ever witnessed, and quite possibly the greatest comeback in MI football history.
HAIL. TO. THE VICTORS! GO BLUE!
As far as Brian Kelly goes...I've taken some heat from my boy Payback over the past couple of years for calling Kelly a bust, but I don't know how else you can describe him. He can't finish games. He has very little control over himself and his emotions, and he's clearly in over his head on the big stage. He may have been a good coach at Central MI and Cincinnati, but in ND with the national spotlight on him, he's a total bust. It's not like ND doesn't have great players. Micheal Floyd is a damn man-child. They have just as many 5 star recruits as anyone else (who are all headed to the NFL) and much more talent than MI at this stage. It comes down to coaching and Brian Kelly has run out of excuses. If they lose to Sparty next week he may not make it through the year.

I think there is something to that for sure. Brian Kelly is much like RichRod was. At certain places, he's a great hire. But, at other places, he's just a bad fit.
