I'm having a hard time figuring out who 'main' WWF referees might have been in 1987. I'm making a special card for the WWF 1987 set, and Joey Marella and Danny Davis are for sure on the card.... who am I missing? Thanks

Okay, cool. I only saw stuff starting in 88, but if he was there in 87 he's in, for sure.

yeah, he ref'd most of Hogan's matches I believe in 87.
Dick Kroll was refereeing a bit at that point, but mostly just in Philly. I'm not sure if Bill Alfonso was there in 87 or not (he was there at some point in the 80s but i'm not fully sure what year)

Appreciate the help, homie. I think I'm going to go with Marella, Hebner, and Davis!

In addition to working in the merchandise department, Mike Twomey worked as a referee for the WWE from Nov 1985 to May 1993 and he now works as the main referee for the Indy fed here in Las Vegas.

I think Jimmy Korderas was with the company then. At Wrestlemania II, Korderas was the referee for a match involving the Funks with Jimmy Hart as manager. Jimmy Hart struck Korderas over the head with the megaphone, and in real life, Korderas fell to the mat unconscious. However, Korderas later admitted in an interview on his podcast with Arda Ocal that Jimmy Hart was in fact safe. Korderas, who was one of the most creative referees in terms of ref bumps, tried to sell the megaphone with a face plant, and in doing so knocked himself out.
So maybe a referee card that uses the hurt referee chart a lot more than a normal ref?

Yeah, he started in 87, Chewey. That's a pretty awesome idea for a mechanic haha
