Congratulations to the fantasy league managers on completing an exciting and enthusiastic draft!

Your next step as managers will be to designate your starting lineups for Week 1. Only six of your players will contribute to the standings each week; the other two will ride the bench. All managers should send me a PM with their starting lineup for Week 1 ASAP. In the event no PM is received, the default for Week 1 will be the first six players drafted. I will post GBL results Sunday night and fantasy results shortly afterward. Trading is now open as well. Any managers wishing to complete a trade with another manager need to both send me a PM indicating that they have approved the trade.

Jim heads inside and locks the door of the arena behind him.

Midnight Guthrie: Two of our GBL Cheerleaders are already ringside, but before the pregame action begins, let’s take a closer look at one of these lovely ladies.

A video segment airs. Spotlight On: Princess Persephone. Clips are shown of Princess Persephone’s experiences winning four straight Princess of Power power lifting competitions on Ceres. Persephone shares her intentions to take professional wrestling by storm. “I’m equal to any man in the galaxy, and stronger and tougher than most!”

PRINCESS PERSEPHONE vs. NEMESIS----------[FEUD]
Nemesis wears a crimson mask after a Princess of Power. The damage lights a fire in Nemesis. The fight moves outside the ring where Nemesis whips Princess Persephone into the guardrails. She continues her assault despite the referee’s warnings. Princess Persephone wins by disqualification. Sabre, the Roswell Moon Men coach, rushes to the ring and attacks Nemesis from behind with a series of punches. Ignoring the referee’s warnings, Sabre tosses Nemesis into the center of the ring and destroys her with a LIGHTNING SABRE. Nemesis is injured for a week.

Midnight Guthrie welcomes everyone to the Galaxian Battlezone League’s Kickoff Weekend. Part 1 is live from the Paragon of Virtue.

Backstage, Beer League confronts Hardcore GBL Commissioner Jim Steel for the second time. Beer League says he will do anything to get his shot at the GBL. Anything?!? The Commissioner rewards Beer League’s persistence with a pregame match against Princess Persephone and alludes to future opportunities if he can win.

BEER LEAGUE vs. PRINCESS PERSEPHONE----------
Princess Persephone leaves Beer League bloody by smashing him with her scepter. Princess Persephone wins by submission via ROYAL DECREE. Beer League remains on his knees in the middle of the ring, shamed to have squandered his chance. The fans get a hearty laugh at his expense though!

Midnight Guthrie catches up with the coach of the Achernar Assassins for an interview. Master Assassin lays out his short and none too descriptive plan for the 2126 season. “Nothing short of total domination will be tolerated!”

Powerslam welcomes everyone back. The GBL is now live from Heroes and Villains Castle for Part 2 of Kickoff Weekend. Powerslam tells us that an Ambassador of Murphos named Alphonse has demanded a holo-vised match against Gemello, the tag partner of Nightmare player Gemin. The Galaxian Battlezone League has been fortunate enough to secure the match as today’s halftime entertainment.

GEMELLO vs. ALPHONSE----------[FEUD]
Alphonse wins by pin after a sit down powerbomb. Though pleased with his win, the Murphos ambassador is obviously not satisfied. Security has to be called in to separate Alphonse from Gemello.

Powerslam is standing by with the coach of the Ceres Dead Ringers. The new 3XW clones are the biggest topic of discussion. Chad Mylan says he has taken it upon himself to mold these diamonds in the rough into champions just like his more established athletes.

Powerslam’s next stop is the Nightmare locker room. The home team’s coach, Strong, is happy to oblige with some comments. Powerslam shares that Strong was given his choice of jobs in the GBL because of his standing as a GWFZ Graduate. When asked to describe his team’s chances this year, the coach responded, “STRONG!”

Ceres Dead Ringers @ Aldermin Nightmare

The starting lineup for the Ceres Dead Ringers is… Big Superstar… Freak Out… Olympus… Blade Machismo… Jeremy Wyatt… Brian Ash… and their coach, Chad Mylan.

The already ominous castle setting becomes even more so as the house lights go black. A strobe effect starts to pulse, illuminating the fog that starts to roll over the entrance ramp. Silhouettes start to form as an elevator in the stage floor slowly lifts the Aldermin Nightmare. Pyrotechnics go off when the team hits the top of the ramp.

“And now, let me hear you scream for your Aldermin Nightmare starting lineup… The Legacy… Gemin… Big Daddy Kill… The Saint… Evil Dead… Magnus Crimson Claw… and their coach, Strong!”
