I'm always reading multiple books at once. Sooo atm I'm almost finished with Dan Madigan's "Mondo Lucha A Go-Go", which is an amazing look into the world of Lucha Libre (highly recommended) and Greg Klein's "The King of New Orleans: How The Junkyard Dog Became Professional Wrestling's First Black Superstar". An interesting read through the first several chapters but (so far) it seems to be equally about Bill Watts who had the vision to create the JYD character with Sylvester Ritter and then the guts to push him as his promotion's top face in the deep south of the 1970s. I just finished reading Keith Elliott Greenberg and Fred Blassie's "Listen, You Pencil Neck Geeks". The late "King of Men" Freddie Blassie's memoirs are an amazing read (again, highly recommended). Especially the stuff that happened in the 40s and 50s - like his first Japan tour and feud with Rikidozan. For non-wrestling related literature, I just finished "Gwendy's Button Box" by Stephen King and Richard Chizmar. It's a short novella that I finished off in 2 sittings over consecutive evenings. Not one of my favorite King works. Interesting, but it left too much unanswered and unexplored. When I finished I just felt like a distant spectator who knew the gist of the story because I saw it but lacked the details. The whys and where fors? That's about it atm. Though I do have R.D. Reynolds & Randy Baer's "Wrestlecrap" waiting (I finally bought it after ignoring it for years).

We're in agreement on Mondo Lucha, the Blassie book, and Gwendy's Button Box.
I started reading Leviathan Wakes yesterday and I'm digging it so far.

I am currently reading It (right now I am on page 743 out of 1153 and I am reading a little each night.)
With one of the Best Buy gift certificates I got for Christmas, yesterday on the way home from work I picked up the DVD for the It miniseries from 1990 and I also got the BLU-RAY for the movie version It from last year and I am going to watch/rewatch (I have already seen the one from last year) them after I finish the book.

I’m currently reading The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexis. Liking it a lot so far. Story of an Indian kid growing up on a reservation who decided to go to school off the reservation at a predominantly white high school. It’s an easy read with some funny stuff in it. Hope to finish it soon.

Your post reminded me that I've got about 15 Marvel Essentials volumes and five or six Showcase Presents' in my closet unread. I really need to get started on those.

I've got a few of those I need to get through. At this point, I'm not even sure which ones other than Essential Human Torch and Showcase Presents Blue Beetle. I read Paperbacks From Hell over the weekend. It's a coffee table book about horror paperbacks of the 70s and 80s.

Been reading a lot of Marvel Masterworks and the new Golden Age and Silver Age DC reprints. I am reading them on Kindle.
