CHIKARA's Johnny Gargano is on this week's episodes of WWE Superstars in an apparent tryout match:
At Tuesday night's WWE Superstars tapings in Dayton, Ohio, Brodus Clay faced a wrestler named Joey Grey. This was actually Dragon Gate USA wrestler Johnny Gargano. Apparently Gargano covered up some of the letters of his last name on his trunks.
Gargano worked the tapings with the blessings of DGUSA as he is under contract to them.
As noted before, WWE had been looking at several talents under contract to Dragon Gate USA and the promotion is willing to release talents if WWE wants to sign them.

Wow that's great news! Johnny has a great personality. If the WWE were to reinvent their cruiser (I know, I know...) then Gargano would be an excellent addition. I'll have to catch this. Man, LOTS on TV tonight. Wow.

Johnny is awesome! when I lived in Cleveland I'd see him and Gregory Iron wrestle all the time for PWO, CAPW, AIW & other local feds.
this isn't his 1st WWE appearence though... He's been a security guard in the past and he also wrestled MVP, on Smackdown, while he was the US champion. Gargano's name then was Cedric Von Hausen, the champion of Liechtenstein.

Not to mention this was a complete squash match. I don't even think he got in any offense. I was there, but I couldn't tell it was him...*shrugs* oh well. I am a fan of FIST however.
