Hey, hell of a run for the Tigers. No shame in losing to Texas, especially in all these close games seemingly decided by one swing. I expect the Tigers will be favorites to win the division next year, return to the playoffs and make another run.

Agreed the Tigers have and will be a threat for many years and thats a good thing, but hey you never know Detroit could pull out a comeback in this series...

Anything is possible, but I do not expect it. Texas is the better team right now and better teams don't blow 3-1 leads. Each game has been so close and the Tigers have had a chance to win each of them...but it's been the Rangers who find ways to finish. The Tigers keep close but if they aren't winning in the 9th it really handicaps them with Texas having the deeper bullpen in extra innings.

Nice to see the Tigers win yesterday. As a side note David Ortiz was interviewed on espn . Talking about all the commotion over the Red Sox ending the season so badly , he compared them to the Yankees, "They lost too."
Uh, winning your division, and then losing the in playoffs...not the same as finishing in third place.

Kinda a sad thud to get stomped on your way out, but I think Detroit will be a team to watch next year.

Congrats to the Tigers on an incredible and sometimes improbable year. I found myself very happy for Jim Leyland several times this year, a guy I really like and respect. Would have been unbelievable to see them get by Texas but they just aren't there yet. Good luck to Texas in the WS and good luck to the Tigers making another strong run next year..
WAR DETROIT!
