The ESPN E:60 episode on the Fall of Scott Hall is on tonight at 8pm and I've seen a clip of the show and Scott Hall had to be helped to the ring which he was laying down on the mat once in the ring...

That was pretty eye opening and depressing.
The Dollhouse he bartended in is about 10 miles from my house. I moved down here the year after that shooting happened, so never knew about it until now.
Very sad. Hopefully his son can have an impact on chico.

If anyone has not seen the E:60 piece on Scott Hall that was on ESPN Wednesday night, I highly encourage each of you to go out of your way to see it. The piece was fair and objective and took a strikingly hard profile of the man. There was much of his earlier history that was featured that I did not know; namingly that he had been involved in an altercation and charged with murder early in his life, that he was the head of the household at 15, etc. At this point in his life, he has been seemingly dipped in molasses; his mannerisms very slow, his chiseled good looks and deep tan evaporated. He seems to be okay financially, but during his interview in the piece, I took him to be very sad. Also focused on was his relationship with his son Cody, who was living with him for a while and was training to be a wrestler, but from what I have read over the last day or two, Scott’s demons have resurfaced, Cody is no longer living with him and has given up all aspirations of stepping into the ring. It is funny where he has come to this point – as I was thinking about the boom period featured from 1997 and the Monday Night Wars, it made me reflect on how much Scott and the NWO really were responsible for – you could not go anywhere back then without seeing some sort of wrestling T-shirt at the mall, for example, and it was hip and cool to be a fan. But to see Scott at the indy show earlier this year, with a hospital band still around his wrist, at a show where he had no business appearing, really struck me as hard. -J

Scott Hall has been my favorite wrestler since I was a kid. i LOVED Razor Ramon and was on the nWo bandwagon from the moment he arrived in WCW.
I've even created wrestlers and characters in all sorts of games based on him. I collect and DVDs that have his matches on them and at one point names my pet lizard - Ramon (after the bad guy).
Ive followed his sad story by reading news articles online, etc. I started to watch this 60:E and don't know if I can. It might be too sad for me to see a childhood hero's tragic story so up close and personal.
