Jim Ross confirmed on Twitter this weekend that following the feedback from the new Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart Rivalries DVD, there will be more Rivalries sets released in the future.
Ross didn't know what rivalries the sets would feature but it was reported earlier this year that WWE was looking at doing a Steve Austin vs. The Rock DVD.
So, in addition to Shawn vs Bret and Stone Cold vs The Rock, what other WWE rivalries do you think should be featured on a DVD set?

If they do this, I would like to see it expanded beyond just WWE. WCCW, AWA, WCW, Memphis, ect.

If they do this, I would like to see it expanded beyond just WWE. WCCW, AWA, WCW, Memphis, ect. I agree, the other feds also had some great feuds that work well for this type of DVD treatment. Sting vs Ric Flair and Von Erichs vs Freebirds are two good examples I think of automatically. But my guess since it is being called WWE Rivalries, the focus at least at first is going to be on WWE feuds. As for WWE feuds, I am guessing Austin vs Vince is a possibility since it has been rumored for awhile anyway. Hogan vs Andre, Hogan vs Savage, and Bret Hart vs Steve Austin are other obvious possibilities IMO.

I saw the Bret/Shawn series. It was very well done. Other than retaining stage names, there was zero kayfabe. I was surprised that WWE didn't edit out some of the negative comments about the company. Bret credited Vince with making an inspirational phone call to his hospital room after he regained consciousness from his stroke. That was the turning point that ultimately put into motion events that would lead to all parties finding resolution and making peace with the past. It was good to see for all involved.
Rock/Austin would make for another great series under this format. Other possible rivalries using in house moderator/non-kayfabe discourse:
* VKM/Bruno Sammartino: this would be classic for hardcore fans, but probably not marketable or viable. Definitely a shoot rivalry at the core of WWE history during an important point for the promotion.
* Ultimate Warrior/Hulk Hogan: this should be marketable, but is probably a tough sell to pull off given the parties involved.
* Ric Flair/Eric Bischoff: this would probably be the easiest suggestion to orchestrate. I'm not sure if Vince would want something too WCW as part of the series.
Savage/Hogan would have been perfect for this type of worked/shoot rivalry series. Possibly Matt Hardy/Edge, Flair/Foley and Hogan/Piper. Shows that may not warrant a public release could prove to be a nice time filler for the WWE Network. I look forward to seeing if WWE moves forward along the level of the original, a high bar was set!

Hogan vs Piper would be a lot of fun. I doubt we'd get Hogan vs Orndorff. I would almost expect Undertaker vs Kane.
