The BIG news: The Rams are out of the 0'fer club

BIGGEST WINNERS:

St. Louis Rams - If you're going to win, may as well do it in style. This is one of those wins you can't help but be happy about. I actually told Osk before the game I though the Rams had a legit chance thanks to their front 4. They made me look smart. Thanks Rams!

Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers look like championship contenders again after a slow start to the year. Beating Pats in any game is huge.

Detroit Lions - Lions looked and played dangerous today on both sides of the ball. Relentless on defense, dominating the game from beginning to end. Road Warriors with a 4-0 away record this year (6-0 last 6 games dating back to last season) the Lions head into the bye week with a 6-2 record.

NY Giants - The G-Men are flying way under the radar at 5-2 after a close win over the stinky Fish.

Buffalo Bills - Like the Giants, the Bills are flying a little under the radar also at 5-2. They aren't getting the nation-wide pub they did at the beginning of the year, but they've got themselves in a great position for the second half of the year.

Cincinatti Bengals - More of the same. The Bengals are 5-2. Real deal or calm before the storm? Regardless, Bengals heavy favorite for shocker of the year so far. And that's saying a lot.


BIGGEST LOSERS:

New England Patriots - Super tough loss for the Pats. This is one of those games that will determine home field in the playoffs.

Arizona Cardinals - Blow massive lead to Ravens proves Cards have a lot more problems on defense than maybe originally thought.

New Orleans Saints - The Saints struggle vs. good front 4-3 defenses and today the Rams dominated this game. Major let down after man-handling Colts last week.

Seattle Seahawks - Every Seahawk fan circled today's game on the schedule as a W at the beginning of the year. This stomping should put to rest any talk of Seattle doing anything but picking in the top 5 in next years draft.

Washington Redskins - How was this team ever 3-0?

If Indy and Miami weren't soooo bad, i wold say Seattle would be in good position to be in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes...lord knows they need a QB...

The sAINTS listened to the press all week about how they were going to easily handle a Bradford-less Rams...teams really need to stop listening to and reading reports of how good they are and just play.

Houston - The Texans improve to 3-0 against the division. They dont have to be world beaters. All they have to be is better than Indy, Tennessee and Jacksonville. And, so far, they have been.

Buffalo & San Francisco are doing really good for two teams that haven't done much in many years but it's good seeing them win. Hate the Eagles but a HUGE victory over the Cowboys is a good thing and the Colts losing seems less interesting then Miami losing who had that game in their hands but once again it was for not...

Giants need to kick it up as their schedule is going to be tough although NE's defense is going to give Manning a field day. Lions bounced back nicely and Tebow looks like a pretender. Colts can't seem to catch a break and will be fighting Dolphins to see who might end up 0-16.

The Tim Tebow topic is interesting and he is on a bad team but some of their problems are Tebow. I'm not bashing Tebow the person, but he may not be a good NFL QB. He needs a team around him for sure, but then you look at Cam Newton who is on a horrid team is putting up monster numbers for a rookie. Yes, two different style QB's and what not, but I'm not liking Tebow's chances as of now making it as a legit NFL QB, but time will tell...

The Buffalo Bills defense did something no other D has done to Mike Shanahan and that is shut out his offense. You've got to give it to the Bill's D even though they were playing a declining team from their 3-0 start...

You and I have had convos in the recent past and I've said that I actually like the Rams and think they are building a nice, young team. Bradford has struggled, but it doesn't matter who is QB when Stevie Jax does what he did.

As for the Bengals, instead of using DA Bears like always, I went with the Bengals in Madden 12. They have a deceptively fast defense that has played very well this year.

Interesting stat I saw. 3 out of the last 4 teams to score 62 or more, have lost the following week. Do your homework NO.

Would also like to add in the winners section: Minnesota. Ponder is playing well and look what happens when AP gets touches.

Add Carolina as a loser. They can't seem to get over that hump. They could possibly be a 5 win team right now.

Would also like to mention that maybe Tebows ego is getting the better of him. Yes, I said it. He should consider a move to running back. He is NOT an NFL QB. Can't doubt the will and heart, but those intangibles only work in college as a QB.

And for NE. It was like watching a Madden game last night. Everytime they blitzed up the middle; the recievers/tight ends were so open, I could have hit them.
