Playing GWFZ last night . Set up (GWFZ Tag Chs) Dark Knights v The Headliners . But played (GWFZ Tag Chs) Dark Knights v Heavy Metal . Heavy Metal won the match by pinfall and won the straps . Goes to write the result notes in the book and sees it should of been Headliners . I like to be 100% straight in all my feds . Then thought I would keep the result as a story angle . The Headliners are NOT happy at all . Anyone else done anything similar ?

Hmmm...let me think of a way you could work this as a great 3-way angle

You could do the whole no-show angle idea with the replacements winning the gold. But the team that no-showed was somehow delayed by the replacement. Something along those lines. This angle could have some real legs to it. (It can be a happy accident!)

I agree. Jason's idea is an easy way to correct the problem.

Going along with the idea...the Headliners got caught in some form of planet customs...this could be anything from an anonymous phone call that one or both were infected...to someone sneaking in a rare fruit, etc. - some type of quarantine.
If you really want to go dark...Heavy Metal planeted a drug or steroid on one or both of the Headliners.

Yeah sometimes I screw up scheduled matches. It's human error. When I do, I just make up some sort of storyline to explain it to the fans (the voices in my head!).
