- WWC in Puerto Rico is reporting that Mark Smith (AKA) Bison Smith has passed. Smith has been a main stay on the international scene and has competed in many NWA events over the years. We send our condolences to his family, friends and fans. Smith was 38

RIP Bison Smith. I enjoyed seeing him in ROH awhile back, and the recent Art of Wrestling podcast he did with Colt Cabana was very good.

I got to attend Bison Smith's two final ROH matches in Phoenix during the weekend of Wrestlemania 26 (he wrestled Necro Butcher in one of those matches and was involved in an 8 man tag in the other match.) Bison Smith also wrestled for a previous Indy fed here in Las Vegas against wrestlers such as Jimmy Snuka Jr. (who became Deuce in the WWE.)
I also enjoyed listening to his recent podcast with Colt Cabana.
