I'm pretty jacked for Daniel Bryan's World Title shot tonight vs. Mark Henry in a steel cage live on Smackdown. IMO, this is a huge deal.
This is Bryan's historic first ever shot at the big one. It's not the WWE Title, but it's still the same belt that Flair, Steamboat, Race, Jericho and many others wore to me.
I don't think he will win. But I think it would be awesome if he did. Either way I expect the best and most intense match of his WWE career.
Daniel Bryan, in the Main Event of live Smackdown in a steel cage match for the belt. Biggest match of his life.

Really looking forward to this. You mentioned in your Raw thread about Bryan possibly winning the Rumble and cashing in at Mania if he loses. That's an awesome idea but he could possibly do that tonight. Lose and then cash in immediately if Mark Henry is hurt post-match. This will be fun to watch. Imagine Bryan and CM Punk reigning as world champions in WWE at the same time. Who would have ever thought that could happen.

In a way if CM Punk & Daniel Bryan were to be Champs at the same time, it would resemble the indy rise version to the top that Guerrero & Benoit had when they came from WCW. I honestly think Punk & DB should be the now & future Main Eventers from here on out...

I'm guessing they're teasing to see how the fans would react to DB as champ. I guess MITB wasn't a big enough indication, but then again, those in charge haven't demonstrated much in the form of brains lately.

This is a very exciting evening for a lot of wrestling fans. A lot of people hated on Bryan Danielson for a long time. Those Michael Coles can suck it - Daniel Bryan has arrived.
I don't think he's going to win, but it's not 100% that he won't. The WWE is definitely behind him at this point, and I think these two will put on a hell of a match.

I try not to say hyperbolic things like this very often, but I am pretty sure of this: If you didn't like this match, you probably don't like professional wrestling. This match would have been a classic in any time period.

The match was good, but most of SD was awful.
And why the $%#@ are they doing a Christmas special in November?

The build between Mark Henry & Daniel Bryan lastnight and the match itself was the best thing about Smackdown. I never was a fan of Smackdown since it became a brand and giving this show a chance has given me proof Smackdown is not must watch TV. I'll watch for Mark Henry & Daniel Bryan, but the rest they can keep...

It was a decent match. Bryan at least had a shot. you walk away feeling if a break went his way he could have won.

I rarely ever watch the pretaped Smackdowns, but I did watch it live last night (well sorta watched on DVR delay). I agree with CC that it did nothing to entice me to watch the product as I fast forwarded through much of it, but I really enjoyed everything with Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan. Great buildup and match that was executed well.
Although I did sort of enjoy the Hornswoggle parts and him now getting the chance to talk.
