Funny, Alabama now has shirts that read: We won the game that counted.
Wait a minute....isn't the motto of the BCS "Every Game Counts"?
Apparently not.

I have no idea but impression I get from shirt is that it's more of a rivalry jab at LSU and their previous meeting than at any other school or bowl game.

NCAA President Mark Emmert yesterday said he'd back a BCS 4 Team Playoff if BCS Officials adopt that process and Emmert said the 4 team playoff would have his backing if it didn't grow beyond 4 teams. We all know that no matter what system they will use, not everyone will be happy but the current system is not really liked by many so some kind of change is needed...

So, does he support 4 super conferences to get these four teams?
This 4-team crap is BS, so is an 8-team system unless it is tied to winning conference first then going head to head against other conference champs.
Two requirements for me: 1. Conference champions in tourney only. 2. Every team in the bowl subdivision on day one of football season has a chance to get into the tournament.
If these aren't in the system, then the system is wrong (remember, this is my $.02)

Going by these rules you run the risk of an 8 team tournament looking something like this - Michigan (Big Ten) vs. VT (ACC) Oklahoma (Big 12) vs. Cincinnati (Big East) Houston (CFUSA) vs. Northern Illinois (Mid-American) LSU (SEC) vs. Oregon (Pac 10) instead of this: Michigan (Big Ten) vs. Oregon (Pac 10) (Rose Bowl) VT (ACC) vs. Ohio State (at large) Oklahoma (Big 12) vs. Alabama (at large) LSU (SEC) vs. USC (at large) which tournament would you want to see? which one do you think would get more ratings?

The issue Emmert has with what came out of the NCAA meetings is they are thinking of a 16 team playoff. He'd rather see 4 teams because it will have less effect on the players bodies and it won't effect the students classes and what not. Either way what happens next is in the hands of the BCS Officials whether the fans agree or not...
