Reports are circulating that the new owners of the Asylum Arena (former ECW arena) have asked the wrestling schools that train in the arena (including CHIKARA Wrestle Factory) to clear out of the premises. Also future wrestling events at the arena are also in doubt at this point, as the arena may be rennovated and turned into a concert hall.
It would be a major bummer if this effects King of Trios, along with other future Philly events.

Strange business decision if true. I've been to shows there and they are packed to the rafters. That's guaranteed business every time you run a show. Can't say the same for musical acts.
Has anyone checked to see if the new building owner is named Cordanus?

That would suck I wonder if Chikara ever tried using some of the old WWF venues like the Hamburg field house and agricultural hall ?

I hate to say it, but it's official. No more wrestling of any kind at the Asylum Arena in Philly. But i'm still going to have CHIKARA wrestling at Asylum Arena in my CHIKARA fed. It's still on my list of 24 CHIKARA venues starting next month.

At least we can keep the memories alive by rolling the dice...
