Would you travel in time and maybe stay in that time period
BOTH Future for me and maybe live there
Visit the past but wouldn't want to live there

I would travel to the past and create McDonalds before it was really created. Not a bad way to become rich.

Would you travel in time and maybe stay in that time period Interesting thread Jim. Theoretically, I could see the potential benefits of trying to use knowledge of the present in the context of the past. Possessing the advantage of certainty in what is to come would be a very powerful tool. Yet if the ability to time travel were widespread, and large numbers of people reacted to similar incentives, the only element that would remain certain...is future uncertainty!

It would be cool to see different times, events and cultures, but I wouldn't want to interact in any way that would change the present reality.

No. I wouldn't want to mess up the space-time continuum. ;D

Back and forward
Back to see how the hell my parents NEVER noticed , that thier son had a deformed back/leg/pelvis . That is now too LATE to do anything about it .
Forward ? So you would know what happens . Like when you die , you could plan to do things before you die .

To the past and observe certain things in history.

Maybe...
If it were possible I'd need to understand the ramifications of doing so first..
