Yet another idea I had for an optional POW rule. How about having some fighters with special moves. Here's an example....
Cro Cop Strike Power: +2
On his Level 1 Offense you could have 1) Liver Kick-1 2) Straight Right-1 3) Left High Kick-1*
The "*" would mean you would add 1 to his Strike Power. Meaning if it resulted in a KO/SUB roll that the opponent would add 3 (2 +1) to their KO/SUB roll because he is so potent with that move.
Just a thought.

There are definitely going to be a lot of "advanced" rules once we figure this thing out!
Nice addition as always, CC.

I have mixed feeling about this.
I believe I have made mention that there are no real "finishing moves" in MMA- that it is mainly a "go with what you got working for you" kind of thing.
Then, I think of a guy like Cro Cop, who does like to launch that LHK quite often, and usually with devastating effect.
I thnk something like this, give to a small few guys and only one move per moveset, would be a good idea. It would certainly give a guy like Cro Cop the boost he needs and deserves.

I mean, how many times have we all heard about a fighter with a 'legendary' left hook or something like that. While we're talking about this stuff, I know Turkish might not like it, and it has basically been struckdown already, but I really think Crucible's hypnosis powers should have at least some sort of effect, even if it is severely less powerful than his wrestling hypnosis. The fact that he is really a sub-par wrestler who can only get by on his cheating is perfectly crafted, and it just sort of seems like a waste to completely strip him of that storytelling device in MMA. Perhaps, if Mr. Ashby and Darth Turkish are set against not making Crucible's hypnotism effective in MMA, I could somehow make a house rule for myself. After all, this community does thrive on player-made content! ;D

while I am not abig fan of gimmicks like the hypnosis for MMA, I do think that, if done well, a gimmicklike that would be cool. Although there should be some real effect that occurs, like the ref calls the fight forthe other guy not fighting.
I have seen other botlegs (Zygon for example), where his move where he pokes someone on the eyes was on The Cl;inch offense and an (add 1). But this is a foul and was played as such: it followed with a mechanic that it was okay the first time, the ref gave a warning (and deducted points) and a third time, Zygon was dqed. Zygon was allowed to choose a different Clinch move to do in it's stead.

I think we can add Joe Stevenson's "guillotine choke" as a speciality move.
I like Big Daddy

Yeah. Definetly worthy of a "*" boost. Great finish for Joe and good example Turk. Dont get too off subject or I'm going to have to "lock" this topic
